The hotel is in a great location. Very close to the local 7-Eleven, Family Mart and any other shop that sells any kind of goods you wish to buy. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and spoke good English. The room was very clean and had everything you needed such as coffee, matcha tea, kettle, TV, Toothbrush and paste, hairdryer, fresh towels every day, shower gel as well as shampoo/conditioner. We loved our stay and would recommend Apa Hotel to all of our friends. We will come back again.

The rooms can get quite hot which isn't really a bad thing as we visited in the wintertime and we were able to turn the heating down from the bedroom so overall nothing that we didn't like at all. We had a very pleasant stay.

We were absolutely not familiar with Tokyo so our main aim when choosing the property was to be able to reach all our destinations with ease. This is something that met with our expectations, as a lot of major PT lines are located nearby. There are also several shops (kind of a market) and restaurants around that we've tried. Overall we really liked the environment. The room was quiet and clean.

Although it was known for us, the room was quite cozy -- and since we're traveling for 2+ weeks, we had quite a lot of stuff, that we were not really able to manage to organize properly within the room. This was (once again) known for us, so it's rather like a reminder for anyone who reads this.

The property was very close to local subways and easily accessible from both sides of the street. Facilities were small, which is to be expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. They spoke English and were accommodating. We ended up having to shorten our stay, and they were able to adjust our reservation with no issue. I appreciated that we could leave our luggage until we were ready to go to the airport.

Bedrooms were a little more dusty than I would’ve preferred, but I’m not upset about it. The lobby and elevators get quite crowded right around checkout.

Location. It's 8 minutes from the Keisei Skyliner Station from Narita Airport. I had extended my stay with another Booking.com booking and the counter staff arranged for me to stay in the same room for the 2 bookings so that I do not have to checkout and checkin again.

Throughout my 1 week stay, if I remember correctly, the housekeeping came only once and rubbish bins not emptied (my bed was only made once, if I recall). Most of the time, I only came back to the room with a plastic bag of amenities (towels, instant coffee, paper cups etc) hanging outside my door.

Location is the best. Metro nearby, Ueno station down the road, right in the heart and convenience of Ameyoko. So grateful for the staff. Super accommodating. My family is not the easiest to deal with and they did their best every step of the way even with our lost and found items! The amenities were so helpful, refreshed every day and as needed. Room is able to get ice cold and the comforting made sleep easier.

The room is quite small/crammed, but it was barely an issue once we were settled in. Once we checked out we missed it already!

Position very close to public transport and to many restaurants. Excellent bed and reasonable cost. Rooms are tiny understandably but come with all necessities and are clean. Hotel staff at the reception is very very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast is a totally unsatisfactory. Tiny place, dirty, very uncomfortable and with limited choice of food of basic quality (ok low cost but they didn’t have green tea!! In Japan!!). Hotel lobby is minuscule and it may be difficult to move around. 15 floors of hotel means that at rush hour you need to have a lot of patience for the elevators.

Me and my partner enjoyed staying in the APA Hotels in Tokyo. The room was very small but had everything we desired. The room was clean and well organised. Check in/out is easy and convenient. The location of this hotel is great for exploring Ueno and access any other parts of Tokyo. We enjoyed the restaurants and market right next to the hotel for grabbing lunches/dinners. We would highly recommend staying at this property.

One minor aspect we disliked is organisation of the elevators. The hotel has 15 floors and at 10am all guests check out and it seems to be impossible to get an elevator down towards the first floor. Wait times can be 15-20 minutes which is not very efficient.

location is calm and nice. lots of restaurants next door, one was opened until 4am. small supermarket just around the corner. In walking distance you can reach shopping street, Akihabara anime quarter (20mins), metro station, train station. we loved the location. we went for thai massage called Phuket just next door and it was great idea after walking all day.

I would say the size of the room is really funny, but we expected it, therefore I had my own room to ensure the comfort and it was perfect.

A pretty standard APA hotel, I loved the location! That was probably my favourite thing about it. Bedrooms are kinda small, but again, I'm one person and I did not have a lot of luggage as I was travelling light. You are right in the midst of Ameyoko place, so there is so much around. Price was okay for a more touristy area and the staff were very friendly.

I think you pay for the location, not the room. There are no laundry facilities like other APA hotels I've stayed in and the coin laundry is a fair distance away. I only stayed one night here though, so I wouldn't recommend it for long term.

situated between Ueno Station and Okachimachi Station, easy access to both stations (Yamanote line) and also Ginza and Hibiya Line and other lines too. also near to Keisei Line, easy access to Narita Airport. walking distance from Ueno Keisei Line to hotel is around 10-12 minutes, through the Ameyayokocho shopping street. so convenient! the room is just nice for 1 person. I love the fact that it still feels quiet despite it's quite happening outside (and it was late at night too) so I got a good sleep the whole time I was here. The staff were nice and helpful too. Facilities were great so overall happy with my stay!

the elevators were sometimes full so had to wait a bit longer. bathtub is small too but understandable since it's a compact hotel.
