I like the location of this accommodation. It's only a five-minute walk to the Ginza Line and very close to Skyliner Ueno Station. The water pressure in the bathroom is also strong, hot water comes quickly, and it's quiet at night.

When checking in, I found that I still needed to pay another accommodation fee. I thought I had already paid all the fees on booking.com, so I could inform you of this in advance. Because I am from Taiwan, although I saw the announcement that the water in the bathroom is drinkable when opened, I still dare not try it. However, the hot water downstairs is only provided until two o'clock in the morning. If it can be provided 24 hours a day, It would be even better. Another problem is with booking.com. I booked a stay for seven nights and I didn’t need breakfast, but the option only had the option of having breakfast, which was a waste of money.

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay — the staff on the reception speaks good English, everyone is extremely nice, respectful and helpful! The whole hotel is impeccably clean. Breakfast offers a decent selection of both western and Japanese foods, and foods are rotated slightly every day. What is worth mentioning is its great location close to Ueno Station, which I think makes this hotel a great choice for travelers. Not only you can get anywhere in Tokyo very quickly, but if you know the way, you can leave the hotel and sit in Shinkansen in Tokyo Station in like 20 minutes. The nearest konbini is like 20 meters; very convenient indeed! And there is not only one, but two Don Quijote stores in the walking distance, which gave me an opportunity to overpack my luggage with souvenirs. Wi-Fi was quick and stable. Soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom were really high quality and their fabric refreshener helped my clothes to stay fresh longer, which was highly appreciated in the scorching summer heat. You also can keep the luggage here if you need to leave later than the checkout is. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with my stay and I would definitely stay here the next time as well!

🏨 Stayed at the hotel for a short time, booking at a last moment. The price however was reasonable, and the hotel was very nice. It was possible to leave luggage for a short while. 📍 The hotel is located within walkable distance to Ueno stations, with lots of points of interest nearby. 🧺 There are great two washer-dryers included in one unit, a rare find within Japanese hotels. Each washing-dryer cycle costs 600¥, and 2 hours washing drying cycle worked surprisingly well with a fairly large load. 🚪 The room was compact but neat, and the bathtub was comfortable to be used as a bathtub despite the small bathroom. The window can be opened for ventilation. One nice detail are trashcan allowing for garbage sorting for burnable/recyclable. 🛜 Wi-fi in the room was surprisingly fast. 🍱 Breakfast was good, but the variety of options was little even if there's rotation of options during the days, and as mentioned in the negatives the breakfast area was quite small. There's a nice corner with drinks and beverages at the first floor available in the evening.

🚪 The bathroom despite having an okay sized bathtub was rather small even by Japanese standards. 🍱 The breakfast area is very small, and at certain points it was full, so one had to wait.

I spent one night at the hotel. It was awesome. Really small, but with high comfort, and many small extra nice things. Bed was comfortable, AC, safe, refrigerator, and really really helpful people working there. Easy to discuss with them about everything. I had to leave early for the morning Skyliner (really close to Ueno St.) and they even allowed to start my breakfast earlier. If I go back, this is surely a place to consider for me. Very interesting that the floor corridoors are open, but I loved it. Definitely recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Guest1 Ueno. It was easy to reach from the airport, and there were many establishments nearby. I could walk to the University of Tokyo or easily take a subway. It was very convenient. The room also had everything I needed. I also especially liked the fact that they offered snacks if one will not ask for the room to be cleaned. The breakfast was different each day, so I appreciated that a lot. The staff were also very nice and accommodating.

There's not really any negative point; it's just that, I guess, to please foreign visitors, they offered non-Japanese food, e.g., German food for breakfast. I would have preferred if they just offered what would be typical in Japan.

Hotel Staffs are very helpful. They smooth check in and check out. Location of hotel is perfect!It is very close to train station, mainly Jr and Ginza. The room was well maintained cleanliness. Breakfast was tasty and have variety of foods daily. They have paid washing machine and a free coffee, tea and mocktails in lobby. I had an excellent stay at this hotel! It is in an excellent location; close to Ueno Station as well as Ueno Park so there is plenty to do and it is easy to reach other areas of Tokyo. Staff were very kind and friendly, answering all of my questions and always smiling. Breakfast was delicious and filling, with a good selection that changed every day. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tokyo!

The single rooms have a double bed and are fantastic for friends that are travelling together but want their own space. It’s quiet, super clean, modern and everything works. Loved the breakfast, free drinks and amenities. A great tonkatsu restaurant nearby was ‘Yamabe’ …authentic and cheap!!

My stay was perfect but my friend’s air conditioning in her room kept turning off and there were no English instructions so that was annoying.
