1. For the price that they offer, the room size is bigger than most hotels in Tokyo. I can easily put two of my luggages without obstruction. 2. It’s located right beside the Ryogoku Station, gate A1 and this station has escalators. 3. The hotel is a bit old in terms of the look BUT they are very well maintained. 4. My room 2428 view was the Tokyo Sky Tree. 5. The staffs were very helpful. 6. You can keep your luggage at the hotel if you are early for check in or check out. 7. There’s 7eleven just opposite the back entrance of the hotel.

1. Location wise, Ryogoku is a bit far from the most common places that you will visit while in Tokyo, therefore you will spend a bit more on train expenses, but that’s fine, the station is just beside the hotel so you will do less walking.

Though it is not located in those main well known areas like Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, it is near a JR station whereby you can connect to the main Yamanote line that takes you to all the main tourist locations. As we bought JR passes so we don’t have to pay extra to take metro lines. Out of the 5 days in Tokyo, 2 days were spent at Disneyland / DisneySea. This hotel provides free shuttle bus to / fro these parks so we don’t have to navigate through the train / subway during peak hours. There is a 7-eleven right next to the hotel making it convenient for us to grab food, snack and drinks anytime we need.

We stayed in a 3 pax room. The beds are bigger than the usual single bed which left very little room for us to lay our our luggage.

Staff was kind and helpful. Room was comfortable, with 3 very spacious beds, a beautiful view of the city and spotless clean. There were plenty of japanese sockets, that let us charge many devices at the same time and the area was quiet both during day and night. There was a convenience store and a post office in the same building, while metro station was just next to it. However, it's worth to mention that it wasn't possible to use JR pass there. If you want to use the JR pass, you must walk few hundred meters, till the back of the building where a JR Station is placed. From there, it's possible to reach Akihabara in only 2 stops! Skytree tower is 30 min far on foot from the hotel and Edo museum is just next to it. A free shuttle to and from Disneyland is also available everyday.

We would have appreciated some complimentary bottle of water in the room and some coffee. Also, it was disappointing not to find any automatic laundry service available. We stayed a week and with 2 kids we would have really needed it.

Strategically located next to Tokyo Metro subway, easy access to Asakusa, Ueno, Roppongi, Ginza you name it! Also the front desk is 24hrs and you can post your baggages to the airport or your next hotel anytime of the day!

The room was so hot & stuffy, we were told that the temperature is standard and we can adjust the temp by controlling our aircond fan but the aircond itself was so hot. We couldn’t sleep or get ready without sweating and it was in winter…also the male staff(s) were unfriendly and unaccommodating.

The best part is the location with the Oedo line being right outside the building and the JR line a short walk away. You can easily explore Tokyo from the hotel and explore the local area of Ryougoku packed with great restaurants, cafes and the sumida river. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. For the price it was an overall exceptional stay and I would very much consider staying at the hotel again.

It would have been nice if the TV was a smart TV that could connect with my phone.

I am glad to be staying at this hotel for the second time after a few years. It is a pleasure to find out that everything remains of exceptional quality. The hotel's location near the train station is excellent, and the convenient parking facility downstairs adds to its convenience. Local restaurants nearby are super. The view from one side, overlooking the river and bridge, and from the other side, showcasing the tower, is truly remarkable. The staff members are friendly and accommodating. Without a doubt, this is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Tokyo.

This hotel is showing signs of aging. Although it is apparent that it was one of the finest establishments if ten years ago, the room furniture and facilities have not kept up with modern trends and appear a bit outdated.

Many cultural activities less than 5 minutes away: Hokusai museum, Sumo stadium / museum, Sword museum, and a japanese garden "Kyu Yasuda" next to it. You'll probably see junior Sumo wrestlers nearby. Shuttle bus to Tokyo Disneyland. Stayed in a 19 sq m room with a view on Tokyo Skytree :) . If your room does not have a view on Tokyo Skytree, there is an observatory deck on one floor. JR Ryogoku station, Sobu train line direct connection to Akihabara, and farther Shinjuku or Nakano; and also Tokyo station (with a transfer) can be reached in 15 minutes.

There is a subway station close, but I prefer using JR, and the JR Ryogoku station requires 15 minutes walk if you have luggages. It is the Sobu "commuter" line which is hyper crowded at rush hour, and a bit crowded otherwise. Bathroom was a bit small.

The room was spacious and the bathroom was a very good size! The location of this hotel is amazing! There is a bus stop 1min away, subway 2 min away and the JR line 8 min away ( walking distance! ) Free Disney Shuttle is provided as well. A family mart across the street, lots of food options around the station. Sensoji Temple is about 20min, sky tree about 30min, Disney 45min ( with public trans.) It's also in the Sumo district... So you probably see some Sumo wrestlers on their way to training, which was pretty cool! We had an amazing time!

The only thing we would've wished is that we could connect our tablets/ phones to a smart TV. The tv Program had basically nothing to offer for foreigners. So a smart tv would've been nice!

Very good location with metro station just by the hotel, the JR station very close and 24-hours shops nearby. Interesting but calm neighborhood and gorgeous view to Tokyo Skytree. The towels and bedding were exchanged each day. Basic cosmetics, hair dryer, fridge etc. are available in the room. Airconditioning was working without problems. Helpful staff. Walking distance to Skytree and Senso-ji Temple.

Breakfast finishes at 9:30 - it is a bit to early for people during their holiday and after long flights.

We love this hotel. It was our 2nd stay at this hotel very easy walk to Metro station . 200m walks to access lift to Ryogoku station or if you have light luggage there is an escalator closer. Booked Skytree room and were given premium slippers and shampoo and conditioner. Very comfortable room

The air conditioner was too hot! We stayed January winter and we had to open window vent to let cold air come in but had to close at night it would be too noisy with emergency sirens at night. First room we were given non smoking smelt of cigarettes on entry. We went back to reception and they gave us another room and apologised ,staff member came to check the room .
