We are a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 very small children), staying in a double room (two double beds). Small kitchen is great for doing up something quick for the kids and definately quite spacious compared to some of the other places we have stayed before in Japan. Location was close to the subways so very convenient and lots of convenient stores near by yo grab essentials. Supermarket was also 5 mins walk and very easy to get to. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and patient with us and our kids.

When booking, I felt a little deceived as I thought i had booked a family room due to the photos that were shown on the website but this room we had was adequate for our needs. If the children were any older (ie. Teenagers), it would definately be too small for 5. Room was advertised for 4 adults so for us, we could fit all three kids in one bed.

Liked · We loved the friendly helpful staff and the well equipped facilities. Free chilled water and coffee 24h was great. There was a washing machine for us to use free in our room and a very efficient drier downstairs. We found a wonderful tempura restairant (Ishibashi) only a 5 minute walk away. The food was great and it was run by an older man and his daughter, we sat at the bench to eat so could watch them prepare our meals. It was a really authentic experiemce. We also visited the Hokusai museum... a wonderful exoerience. The deliCATessen opposite the shrine near the museum was a friendly coffee stop. We would highly recommend the hotel and the area.

Far and away the best value accommodation we had during our entire Japan trip. Reading other reviews before we booked, we weren't expecting large rooms, but if you need the space there are mini apartment-type suites available (the people we were travelling with got one). The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were exceptional, and the rooftop common area is a fantastic point of difference - we spent quite a bit of time up there, particularly in the evenings. The location is very quiet, though there are plenty of little restaurants within an easy walk. The Ryōgoku train Station is also very close. Weighing up price, location, and amenity, this will absolutely be our go-to accommodation next time we're in Tokyo. Worth noting that the beds are quite firm, if that's an important factor for you.

Our stay has been great! The place has everything you need for a living: good location, nice staff, clean room, cleaning machine in the room with detergent, iron and iron table, a little kitchen with all necessary kitchen equipment, free clean water, pajamas, etc. The location is around 5 min walk from Ryogoku station. However the nearest entrance did not have elevator to go down, which is not that much of a problem since another entrance (walking arond 10-15 mins) has elevators. The rooftop was a little small but we still found it nice as we could see the beautiful view of Tokyo Skytree there and you can bring food upstairs to eat or work.

The room was quite small for 3 people. The room didn't have enough space to open our bags so it was quite difficult to manage.

Super staff. We usually leave early and return late so we didn’t see the staff very much (they are only there certain hours) but each time we did they were very warm and helpful. I even had to ask them to kindly help me log out of Netflix which I forgot after checking out, and they replied swiftly with a photo of the logged out screen, via the booking.com message box. The stay was wonderful, we liked everything in our room. It feels like a long-stay apartment instead of a hotel which we like. We love the cozy rooftop with Skytree view (also thanks to perfect weather), and surprisingly were the only ones up there most of the time and even had a breakfast on roof once. The level 1 dryer machines worked wonderfully too. It requires a charge but was cheap and efficient. Location was super for us as it was convenient with the Oedo line to places we needed to get to (and buses and JR if you prefer), but much quieter and comfortable to live in without hordes of tourists.

Nothing except that the washer/dryer in the room couldn’t dry our clothes so I took them down to the big coin ones on level 1. However, having a washer/dryer in-room is already something we really appreciate so I don’t think I consider it a con, just something for other guests to expect. Love that there are bigger coin dryers on the ground floor - clearly Petit Grande Miyabi thinks of solutions for their guests. Thumbs up.

Rooms are small but very well-appointed. Ours had a cook top, freezer/fridge, utensils, cutlery, crockery, washer/dryer, iron, hair dryer etc. There are supermarkets about 5 minutes brisk walk away. Staff were very helpful and so friendly and nice, speaking perfect English. Location is ok for the price.

We had the triple room - 1 queen + 1 single bed. Single/extra bed mattress is slightly wider than the base. and it started to sag. Single/Extra bed comforter cover is was actually 2 single bed sheets and kept coming off every night. Not many attractions nearby and the JR station was quite far (800m). It was fine the first few days but after a week the hike was getting too much.

The room was very clean. It is near to Chuo Sobu JR line as well as a subway line, and there are many food choices nearby. Convenience stores and supermarkets are nearby too. As we arrived late, we had to do self check in, but the process was very smooth, effortless, quick and easy. There is a washing machine in the room which is of great help! We can see Tokyo Skytree from the rooftop! In addition, the staff has kindly helped to store our luggage overnight for a few nights so that we could travel light out of Tokyo to explore other parts of Japan. We had a great stay and would definitely choose to stay here again when we come back!

March 2024

For a place in Tokyo, the size is comfortable for two people. The location is right by two train lines, which is great for accessibility. It’s also in quite a nice quiet area and some greenery (lots of schools in the area), which is great if you’re looking for something a bit more peaceful and slow paced compared the hectic nature of Shinjuku etc. The staff (who were mostly Filipino) were incredibly polite, kind and helpful. Lots of good facilities like a washer and dryer, and a very clean and well functioning bathroom space.

The heating in the room didn’t work on the first night, but the staff were quick to rectify the problem and were very kind about the situation. The biggest ‘issue’ (which is quite minor) is the lack of natural light because the building is nested next to another block so very limited to no natural light makes it into the room.

The property is near to JR & Metro station. About 30 minutes to Shinjuku. A lot of restaurants nearby JR station. Have a good sleep as it has a quiet ambience. The staffs are very friendly and well spoke English especially the front desk manager.

This hotel was really nice. We arrived late and the staff had already messaged me with a code for a lock box, so we could get into our rooms easily. Everything was very clean. The room was for four to share and it was a little cramped because of this, but we weren't hanging around in there so it wasn't an issue. It had everything we needed from a small kitchen to a decent washer dryer. The hotel has a better dryer downstairs which was only 100 yen to use. This hotel has very friendly staff, who are quick to help if there is a problem. For example, we had an issue with our air conditioning unit not working properly. They fixed this very quickly for us. There is a really nice area on the roof, with views of the Tokyo Skytree lit up, where you can go and have a drink and relax. And the staff were kind enough to store our luggage while we visited Nikko. The location is great, with a JR station and a metro station within a 10 minute walk, so it was very convenient.
