I still think about my stay here now and then. For the price, it truly is one of the best places to stay in my opinion. We stayed in the highest room, which was around the 400's. The other reviews said that the stairs were killer, but if you view it as an exercise, then it is totally for you! Other than that, the room was nice and well put together, check-in was a breeze, and the bathroom was great as well. But I think the main reason why I give it such a high score is that it's far from touristy areas. When you go to the town of Oku, you feel like a local, no tourists to see. The restaurants are local, and the amenities were prevalent as there was a closeby laundry, 3 convenience stores, and only an 8-minute walk from the nearest station that is not too far for you to walk.

Those stairs are hell on the feet. However, since it's something that cannot be changed, I think it's a little charming; but yeah it is steep. Other than that, the bed was a little uncomfortable, but not too bad, and unsure how to clean the dishes. We had cups but we had no clue how to wash them as we were not given sponges or anything at all, and couldn't find any dish soap or cups in our local convenience store.

Excellent value for money. The flat is very clean and functional. It is located 5-10 min walk from the metro station which connects well to the centre so it is very easy to get to the centre. The owner was very responsive and allowed us to drop off our luggage before check in. I recommend

Clean. Location is good. About 7 mins walk to JR Oku station. It is not too far from Tokyo, just 2 stations away using JR pass.

The pillow is old & it's time to replace. The bed is light and it moved. Checking in and out are very troublesome as nobody to help. The stairs to the third floor are too narrow. New guests, pls walk up the stairs towards the right side. I hurt my left shoulder as I walked up the narrow stairs because I walked up towards the left side.

It's in a really peaceful neighborhood, relatively close to the train station (maybe about a 5 minute walk) and some supermarkets. It was very clean and the beds are genuinely the most comfortable beds I ever slept it. The duvet felt like a marshmallow, I really wish I could have stayed even longer in that bed...

Everything was perfect! I can see someone having trouble with the steep stairs, but I had only a backpack with me so it wasn't a big deal

Comfortable commute, station was only 500 meters away from the accomodation.

Noisy neighbours, narrow staircase. On the bright note, the host helped with the noisy neighbours in a timely manner.

Location. It is near Sakura Tram and JR Oku Station. Accessible to convenience store and supermarket. The room is basic with everything you need. Microwave. Small fridge. Towels. Shampoo and shower gel. Cheap. All the cons are acceptable given the cheap price.

Narrow stairs. Avoid renting a room that is located in 3rd and 4th floor.

This place was small for 4 people but beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. I would stay here again. We loved the location too in a local area and close to JR Oku station and the Toden Arakawa line, a cute local tram.
