Clean and very spacious room at a very good price. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and quite fluent in English compared to other places. Located right at Wakayamashi station, supermarket and restaurants are just downstairs.

1. I always prefer some working table for laptop and things. Though the room is very very nice (I gave 10 points) but would be great if I got a bit bigger table than the small glass one there. 2. It would be great if you could post parking info on booking.com , eg. link to another page with info. I think first time customers may find it hard to get to the right parking. 3. Be careful, the parking does not have max daily cap, if you don't get stamp from hotel, it will be so high like 5-6K yen. But if stamped, it is 800, which is ok for me. Calculate ahead if you plan to drive in and out many times in a day. But if you come by train, this is super convenient.

It's right above the train station, and there's a bus terminus The mall is very convenient for travelers The area around is a bit hip and mixed, with many eateries The room and facilities are just so modern and clean The room view to the city and the castle is nice The sky open-air spa and sauna gave me a nice experience

The JR station below is Wakayama-SHI station, and you have to take a short ride to Wakayama station, which is the main station, and that gets you elsewhere on JR. The frequency of this line can be low at times, like 1 train per hour.

The location can’t be beat. Right on the Wakayamashi station make it easy to travel anywhere in the area. The hotel is also located within 10 minutes of the Wakayama Castle and downtown area. The hotel staff was courteous and helped us with every question we had and always was a pleasure to work with. They helped us fill our the luggage courier slips to our next hotel and made everything easy from checking-in to checking-out. The hotel room has a breath taking view of the surrounding area, no other property would have this view. The sky spa made our late nights worth it as we got to relax and enjoy the city from an advantageous view.

The hotel location was great. Close to the train station and had food option pretty much next door. Great food options too! The included onsen and sauna facility was amazing and clean. While the room was a little small but this is to be expected for typical hotels in Japan. We were comfortable with our toddler. Surprised that the public library was next door and had a huge children area. Wish we could have time to spend in there too. Such an aesthetically pleasing library!

Nothing. Everything exceeded my expectation for a hotel that's pretty much at the train station.

Beautiful modern hotel. Room and beds were huge (by Japanese standards). Great river and mountain view from my room and from the hotel lobby where we have our breakfast. Breakfast cost Y2200 per person - it was a little expensive for a standard Japanese breakfast spread - but we paid for the view, ambiance and service. Coffee and coco drink was good :) Extremely accessible as it is 1 min from wakayamashi train station, bus interchange, Starbucks and 7-Eleven.

Only downside is there is no shopping, sightseeing, good eating places nearby. We have to travel by bus / train or walk quite a distance to get to these places. Only exception was the tonkatsu restaurant which was 5 mins walking distance from us. Good to buy the Nankai 2 day pass and JR Wide Area Pass if you are visiting Wakayama.

All Japanese female staff and Japanese male staff were very friendly, polite, helpful and provided good customer service. Hotel was spotless and clean; also my room location was very good!

A staff member (Male) who can speak Chinese provided poor customer service and was misleading to customer. I wasn’t happy about that. Also I couldn’t have the Sunday breakfast even though I got the breakfast coupon because the hotel was too crowded and needed to have a long wait. I wish I could make a reservation for breakfast at the hotel, I did ask for it, but it doesn’t have that service :(

The SkySpa was the main draw for choosing this hotel and it was very nice. I always had the women’s outdoor onsen to myself. Nice view of the river. Compared to other hotels in Japan, these softer beds and higher pillows were very comfort. I booked the corner room, which was comfortably sized for 2 people, although we did not have big luggage. The window seats were very nice for enjoying the view. Staff was kind and helpful. Location was a bit away from town center and castle, about 15-30 min walk. there were a few restaurants nearby but we mainly dined towards town center.

Distance from center of town means not many cafes, restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast was disappointing. Food quality was inconsistent, offered very little fruit options.

The hotel is in a convenient location next to a renovated rail station with stores and restaurants and a library. The views are pretty good from most rooms and also from the 11th floor reception/dinning area. This area was mostly closed during the day. I’m not sure about evenings as I didn’t check, however, it should be made to be enjoyed by the guest at any time.

The TV is in Japanese. It would be nice to have directions to switch languages for example on YouTube. One of my last hotels did this.

I think it's the best hotel I've stayed at all though we did not have time for the spa. Just taking our loggage when we arrived was exceptional. We also got help with everything we were asking for. The location with the amount of loggage we had was fenominal. There were three places near by that had vegan options for us too.

Wen we arrived, the door was shut on us. No idea why. We had to ask people to help us to get the door open. Compared to the level of the rest of the room, the bathroom was very plane. Also add, the only reason we did not order breakfast is because we did not know if you could serve vegan food.
