The hotel is made up of a house and various annexes in the garden, with various sitting areas. It looks lovely and cosy, with crafty decorations. Although in the past a few zebras lived nearby, you won't be seeing much wildlife from the property, but it is on walking distance (or a short ride by boda) from Naivasha town. Continental breakfast included, some slight modifications possible. Lunch & dinner menu available: for tourist prices. I loved my ensuite cabin; with wardrobe and daybed/sofa (that was more comfy than the bed itself; so there is choice :)).

The only unfortunate thing is that the main seating/drinking area in the garden was opposite of my cabin, only a wooden wall separating the sound of people drinking and my bed. So far for my afternoon nap.

Everything exceptional. Aloepark Art Hotel is well-kept and delightfully decorated by local artists, reflecting the place's tradition and soul. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and spotless. In the garden, you can relax under different covered areas, surrounded by plants and flowers. All the staff were exceptional, friendly and professional. In the only two days we spent at Aloe Art Hotel, we always had all the meals there, and I assure you that the chefs are amazing. The menu was decided and confirmed in advance, and it was all fresh and delicious. Before our arrival, Sari, the owner, helped me with my organisational requests. With timely communication, she organised transfers, local guides, and activities in the area (Crescent Island and Hell's Gate). After spending four days in Masaai Mara, we greatly appreciated the laundry service they provided. Sari and her staff organised everything so that we could make the most of our two days in Naivasha. I highly recommend staying in this delightful property.  Thanks again, Sari and all Aloepark Art Hotel staff, for your hospitality.

Nothing negative

We stayed for one night after moving from a different accommodation where there was no hot water! Thankfully Aloe had hot water and was a cosy place to stay for the night. They offered food too so we didn't have to venture out into the busy town. The room was comfy, and outdoor area was peaceful and pretty. Staff were brilliant, we felt welcome and even got some cake and tea for Valentine's Day! Breakfast was great, and the place was managed very efficiently. Parking was available in the gated property, so it was safe. Good working wifi too. We'd stay here again.

Nothing we didn't like!

Clean hotel, beautiful gardens, comfortable beds, hot water and good food. The staff recommended a driver who was really good.

We stayed 2 nights. The staff did not put the mosquito net up for us on both nights. After going out for the day we came back to unmade beds and nets still down. At all the other hotels we have stayed the staff have made the beds and mosquito nets sorted. We are not confident in using mosquito nets so a little help would have been good.

- they provide clean bottled water (and refills) for free - Lovely place to just hang around for many hours reading or napping (outdoor chairs, swinging chair, etc) - Ask staff for a short tour of the grounds (rabbits, etc) - 2km walk down into the town - We’d recommend you read the info booklet they provide in your room. Lots of interesting information about the hotel and area. - Good restaurant on-site with simple made-to-order meals (700ksh - 1200ksh range).

This is an excellent hotel for the kind of traveler who -- like me -- doesn't stay in five-star hotels on a regular basis. The accommodations are very nice, the staff is great, and the company of the other guests is wonderful. It's not often that a hotel enhances an experience devoted mostly to being in the wild, but this one does.

I didn't like that I didn't take more advantage of their meal offerings.

An amazing place with beautiful artwork all over. The kids loved especially the animals (two dogs, one cat, some chicken and bunnies). There is a nice relaxing garden and we had some comfortable spacious rooms. It was quite a homely sphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always available when we needed them and happy to arrange visits to the local school, lake or parks.

The hotel is tucked in a peaceful,cosy nature loving surroundings!The room is very comfortable and very clean.The hotel is artistically decorated with African artifacts,the garden is so relaxing.The staff very friendly,welcoming and helpful.The breakfast is hearty and tasty!We had such a pleasant,relaxing and enjoyable stay at Aloepark.Value for money.Will definitely return to stay and highly recommended!

Nice garden setting, simple but comfortable room, good breakfast, tasty dinner options, friendly staff

The wifi didn't work well in my room (farthest away from the main building). Be aware that there are two dogs which are on the property, so it's not the right place if you don't like dogs or are scared of them (no issue for me, just a heads up for other guests).

Food from the menu was some of the best I’ve tasted since arriving in Kenya. The whole place is stunning with beautiful paintings and art everywhere. 5 mins walk from the town yet you felt like you were in the bush. Beautiful choir singing could be heard in the morning from a neighbouring church. This place is 5*
