The staff were very friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome after a long day. The breakfast was brilliant! Plenty of choice to choose from for all tastes and very fresh. It was easy to get to the 02, 5 min walk from the hotel to catch the DLR at Prince Regent to Canning Town, then the Jubilee line to North Greenwich which brings you right outside the 02. Bed was really comfortable and clean room.

location close to an event we went to, very good helpful front desk. Easy to order delivery takeaway as there was not much food around there. Room size was great, the Queen triple room was super for 6 of us (3 kids) and hotel arranged opposite rooms which made things so easy. Also very helpful when you call the hotel and personalise your booking if you are traveling with family. I will stay here again for sure.

The delivery takeaway got cold and we couldn't heat it up as there was no microwave and the kitchen could not help us heat up due to sanitary hygiene issues.

Most of the staff were very nice, especially Chelsea who moved our rooms and secured a minibar for my daughter's medication. Naveed, is possibly the best hospitality employee that I have ever met in all hotels that we visited around the world. He is very attentive and would get out of his way to make sure that the guests are happy and have a nice stay.

The rooms were nice, views are really good. However, the beds are certainly smaller than other hotels. I would not say that 2 adults would sleep comfortable on their "Queen Bed". The breakfast is a bit disappointing, you get bored of it very quickly. You won't have a minibar on the room either which is really silly especially as the weather is getting warmer in London.

Room: very spacious and comfortable for a family of 3 Welcome: the free warm cookies available at reception + the fruit and small chips packets were an absolute delight (and surprise). Staff: friendly

1. Main bed was squeaky and litter was left un-removed from the bed surrounding; the bed turn down appeared a bit rushed and sheets could have been stretched out. 2. We also were caught off guard by how far the hotel was from central London and located in an industrial exhibition zone. 3. Directions weren't clear and we got off the train 2 stations early and had to pull luggage for almost an hour to get to the hotel

Very helpful staff letting me check in bit earlier instead of leaving bags as i was early, previous hotel had to check out as room i was due to have had a flood, so had to find another hotel quickly and leave bags as was due out meeting someone but was grateful to get room early.

The layout of breakfast area, very confusing small spaces, lot of people as large hotel, so was waiting times although as on own got table quickly. But yes found the layout of breakfast area very confusing and lots people in each area didnt know who was queing for what, maybe a full length layout and start at one end. Then coffee and toast in another area. just a suggestion

Great location close to the Excel centre and just a 15 min walk from the nearest underground station. Hotel is beside the marina so some nice views. Its also close to London City Airport but you wouldn't know if for the excellent sound isolation within the rooms. Spacious size rooms, for London. Nice dining room with views of the marina and of planes taking off. Good selection of beers/ales on draft for a hotel. Nice food from either the restaurant or the bar menus. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful.

Pillows in the room could be better. The quality of the cooked breakfast could be improved upon, especially the bacon, scrambled and fried eggs. The room did not have a bathtub as stated by booking.com.

Came with my wheelchair bound friend. The position of the beds was too close to a corner that acesses the rest of the room. The bathroom was good for her. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful The beds were themost comfortable I've slept in, I slept better than at home!

Soap dispenser was above the loo roll which made it wet The position of the first bed was too close the a corner in the room, making passing with a wheelchair impossible The restaurant prices were ridiculously expensive, a breakfast should never cost close to £18

It was easy to park, the room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean and everything worked well. Good selection at breakfast and lovely meal at the restaurant. Amazed at the housekeeping as I had hung up a notice that stopped them cleaning the room as they went by, we then showered and left the room to go out and took off the notice and when we returned that evening the room had been cleaned, which showed attention to detail. Reception staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful even if some guests seem to expect everything for no cost.

Breakfast was difficult to navigate which may say more about layout though. The cooks seemed to be understaffed on the bank holiday

Great size room, location was great as we were at an event over the river at the Dock yard. Prices were reasonable considering there was an event on. Clean rooms.

Due to the late check out time 12pm, they can't guarantee the rooms will be ready before 3pm. (3pm check in time) So if you're at an event just take this into consideration. This isn't a criticism on the hotel as that's a great check out time after being at a gig the previous day. Just something to bare in mind. However, we were able to get into our room a little after 1330hrs but some were still waiting.

Stayed at the hilton excel london with my daughter , staff were freindly and accommodation, and even allowed us to stay an extra hour ( at no extra cost) on departure day. They've got all the basics right, cleanliness , breakfast ( lots of choice) a shower that actually works ( not spending ages adjusting the temperature) and a large screen tv with enough channels ( good picture quality) which was very welcome to unwind after a long day on our feet round London. Would definitely choose double hilton again .
