I had a great stay at Arthaus Beirut. The staff was very competent and made me feel welcome at all times. I liked the fact that they were reachable via whatsapp. I stayed in the Hanna Suite which is a duplex. The second floor has the toilet, closets and a shower that also does Sauna and Hammam! The hotel is beautiful marrying traditional stone buildings with contemporary pieces. Breakfast was included in my room and was excellent and very copious. The restaurant was great and had a nice selection to choose from. No Lebanese food on the menu (except breakfast) but many places to choose from 2 minutes away from the hotel for Lebanese.

I took a hotel-provided taxi from the hotel to get to the airport and did not like the ride. For $33 I would have expected a better car and better driver (this one felt unsafe). I would recommend the hotel choose another option for their guests.

Beirut is is n the mist of the on going problems in Israel and Palestine, as a result not may visitors about. This is great pity, this city is a mix or religion politics and disturbed architecture. The public realm streetscapes are unkept and a reflection of an misfunctioning government. Between the out of scale high rise and broken pavements you can find oasis like the Arthaus: An old merchant villa a reflection of a time when Beirut had status on the Mediterranean. A lot of through has gone in to the Interior Design of the Building. It manages to create joy, with out undermining the existing villa scale and detail. Well-done to all involved. It was a joy to stay there. Beirut I really feel your pain. I will however return again. And the Althaus will be the first on my list. Stay Safe Tom E Ireland

All Good.

I had an exceptional stay at Arthaus Beirut. It felt like I was living in a restored Lebanese home, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly. The best part was that they served breakfast anywhere you wanted, whether in your room, the garden outside, or at the dining table on the first floor. When I asked to move to a larger room, they pleasantly accommodated my request. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth. They can help you order the Allo Taxi service to get around Beirut, although I found it easier to download the app and handle all taxi bookings myself. The location is excellent, situated in a vibrant yet quiet part of the city on El Gemmayzah Street, with many restaurants and cafes within walking distance. I didn't need a taxi on my first day in Beirut, so I walked on foot since most sightseeing was within walking distance. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Beirut.

Beautiful old house in the heart of Gemayzeh, centrally located and giving you nostalgic, authentic and cozy vibes. We were welcomed by a pleasant lady called Sabine who explained the details of our stay and was very hospitable. Room is comfortable and properly equipped and well maintained.

The F&B experience wasn’t matching with the expectations we had. I have pointed out an incident to the restaurant supervisor, who listened carefully to our concerns. But feels pity that some junior team members, untrained, unpleasant that could impact negatively the overall efforts of the owners to create something unique and special. I believe the place and vision are great, but the selection of some people was not fortunate enough…

This is one of an increasingly rare gem of traditional buildings to be found in Beirut. It has been beautifully and sympathetically restored for the 21st century to an extremely high standard. Each room is decorated differently, with lovely pieces of art. Other artworks are on display throughout the hotel, with an art gallery on site across the courtyard. We were in the older part of the building, which has high ceilings and windows and a beautiful marble staircase. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. The staff were constantly dusting furniture and sweeping micro particles from the floors of the communal areas. Our room was spotlessly clean and the daily service maintained the high standards that are obviously expected. We found all the staff to be friendly, helpful and genuinely pleased to be working there. The food was of a high standard too, with plenty of choice for all meals, if you didn’t want to go out. The location was perfect for us as well and the area has many small art gallery shops. It is on a small side street and signage to it could be a bit more noticeable, but perhaps that is deliberate?

Exceptional experience, the king suite was amazing. The room has a great design, the walls, the bed and the furniture, the steam room and others were just more than what you can find somewhere else. There were two AC's that worked fine which I think is very important in a warm climate. The art around the hotel was exciting and the menu in the hotel was satisfactory with amazing breakfast. The staff were really helpful with any topic and you can find someone to help you 24/7 which is very important for myself. Thanks to everyone involved.

• Hidden Gem - litterly. • Very charming and warm interior design, full of creative art - I did not want to leave. • Made me feel like I truly was in Lebanon (i.e., it's not a basic commercial modern hotel). Perfect for a person coming to Lebanon for the first time. • The staff were very pleasant and welcoming; they even provided me with a Whatsapp number to keep incase i needed anything - I found that quite convenient and efficient from their part. • The food was delicious. • The bed was so comfortable, i slept so well. • The location is right in the middle of one of my favorite areas (Gemmeyze), you'll have all sorts of cute little pubs, restaurants and shops around - just walking distance away.

Honestly.... I can't think of anything I didn't like. I loved it so much.

Beautiful old family home made into a stunning boutique hotel. There is tons of character, the staff is very helpful, the cocktails were wonderful, and it’s off one of the best streets in Beirut, in my opinion, full of really special restaurants, bars, and shops. We didn’t find the area noisy at all, for sleeping. We will definitely be back!

Only a few small things….the hotel is hard to find with no sign on the main street. Once we found it, we were good, but it’s down a little side street. The only other thing was that the bathroom in our room (each room is unique) was not well lit. I would have loved a light over the sink. We also would have loved a little luggage rack to put our suitcase on.
