I was with five friends on a motorcycle tour of Belgium and Luxembourg and we based ourselves in Vianden for two nights to ride the Northern section of Luxembourg. Henri was a faultless host. He could not have done more for us. From being there to greet us as we arrived and ensuring we were always contented. The hotel/restaurant is a period building with loads of original features and set in a cobbled street. The rooms are upstairs so bear this in mind. Clean rooms with space to dry out wet kit. Clean bathrooms with great pressure showers. Comfortable beds. Continental breakfast - eggs, rolls, ham, cheese, jams, etc. Great fresh coffee. Secure motorcycle parking for our six large bikes - free and normally EU10 per night each. A short walk from the river with its bars/restaurants. We ate at the hotel - The food was great - The place was packed every night so others agree. One of our group knows his steaks and said that the sirloin was cooked perfectly as requested. Any little things are so trivial they're not worth mentioning. Definitely a first choice return to venue for us. We wandered down to the river after dinner and had a few beers in the Victor Hugo Hotel bar to watch France v Belgium in the Euros. A nice place and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Nothing.

Staff, led by Henri are exceptional. We were greeted at the door like friends and it continued from there. Made to feel very welcome. A group of 6 bikers, we got somewhere to store our bikes and were given drinks and food straight away. One of us had ot leave a day early and Henri said if he could resell the room, he'd refund us - and he did. Very relaxed and easy going, staff effortlessly friendly and welcoming. The food is really good quality, fresh and well cooking, no matter what you have, but people say the grill is the best. Well, the fondue is excellent and again, a fair price. For a hotel of this type, it's the best I've ever stayed in and the prices, for what you gety are excellent.

Having to leave.

It's located in the most idyllic place, just below the castle. The building is very old (dating back to 1683a.d.) and breathes nostalgia, with dark wooden beams, slate floors and low doors. Breakfast is good, staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. However, their dinner is the stuff of gods. Try their woodfire grilled steaks or their cheese fondue and you will keep coming back for more.

The building goes as far back as 1683, which also brings with it a bit of noise. So be aware of sounds spilling over from one room to another.

Cozy ‘auberge’ in the centre of town. Friendly staff. Nice room (#2) with a very comfortable bed and nice shower. Excellent attention to detail (e.g.: bring as many chargers as you need: they have smart ways to make sure all your devices can be charged). Breakfast was nice. Perfect location to park your motorbike in a safe and even-floored garage.

Our room was at the front of the building, next to the busy road through town. With the window open (we lile fresh air so we left it open all day and in the evening) this meant lots of streetnoise. Luckily it was quiet at night.

Great place to visit the castle from. Food amazing. Staff very attentive. Lovely and clean. Fabulous atmosphere inside felt comfortable and homely. Shower room great.

From a disabled point of view the internal stairs were too much for me to get to my room. Spiral and open planned. A little dangerous for my disability. No wheel chair access to bedroom. The beautiful shower room had no hot water the second evening or on the morning of our departure. No apologies, or notifications of a problem.

Lovely auberge just below the Vianden castle. My room was on the top floor, very cosy, clean, lovely architecture (wooden beams), big shower.

It was a double room, but not comfortable for two persons as the ceiling was lower on one side (mansard). The wall of the bathroom is made of glass and the light turns automatically on when the doors open, so it you use the bathroom during the night the light might wake up the second person.

Motorcycle tour for six bikes - as soon as a I stopped outside a staff member appeared with the key for the garage with the promise of cold beers. The building is 17th century but the facilities in the rooms are quite modern, tricky stairs if you’re not mobile. The guy in charge spoke good English and was very attentive. The food is top notch, reasonably priced you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely go back. Decent breakfast. Excellent value all round. Motor biking heaven in this area and across to Moselle.

Some of the rooms had minor issues I discovered afterwards but only minor maintenance things like a broken toilet seat, slightly blocked sink.

Superb 2 night stay in this fantastic hotel. Arrived on our motorcycle and was greeted at reception and shown to the hotel garage for secure parking. Loved the room and the food in restaurant is top quality and gets busy so booking recommended. The staff were excellent and helpful throughout. Vianden is a beautiful town and we were glad we spent 2 nights there. Highly recommend this hotel .

The restaurant downstairs was really great with delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff was nice. The bed was comfortable and the toilet was clean and spacious. It was conveniently located almost next to the vianden castle. Overall I'm very satisfied and the value is exceptional.

Rooms are a bit too warm due to heating (October 2023). Sometimes I had to open the windows to make it comfortable. But it's not a big problem and I enjoyed the stay

Andre and his team, as usual, are very friendly and helpful. Secure parking for motorbikes and excellent food in the restaurant and perfect location for touring Luxembourg and the Eifle region 👌

Would have been nice to have water/ tea and coffee in room but it is also a restaurant so easy enough to get downstairs, otherwise no complaints, lovely stay as usual.
