The common area of the hotel is very nicely decorated and atmospheric. Very helpful staff, the receptionist told us where was the free parking (Thank you very much). Our room, despite partly stylish furniture and a comfortable bed, was not very cozy (e.g. no bed rugs or floor coverings).

No kettle, few tea bags or even a small bottle of water (!) in the room (and pub is closed at 8.p.m). Very expensive parking (maybe because there are only a few spaces available). Breakfast is the same every day. No fruits and vegetables (and it was the fruit and vegetable season). No water in price, only small glass of juice and poor quality coffee, Breakfast is served to the table and everything is distributed. Cappucino or espresso during breakfast was extra pay ( it is rather unusual in 3* hotels).

Quaint, characterful hotel. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Good location. Nice suggestions from the owners for a few things to do in Vianden.

No kettle in the room and no breakfast unless you paid extra for it (15 euros each). We knew that when we booked and chose not to have the breakfast. But we had no way of making a hot drink in the evening or morning. Our room was very noisy due to the fact that it was on the front of the hotel and huge trucks went past the hotel all the time. There is a bakery down the road which opens at 7am where we bought coffee and a pastry and ate it sitting in the garden of the hotel.

Everything! The outside of the hotel is stunning and we got a free upgrade. Parking is very limited, however, there are several around the hotel that we took advantage of. I would truly recommend this hotel as it's truly worth the experience and it ticks off all the band for an amazing hotel. Cheers to the team at Hotel Heintz for making our short stay amazing! The service as fast and given with a smile. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

The tiniest recommendations 1. Due to limited parking spaces we were recommended one of the many free parking spots. However, the road recommended to has a deviated route and we couldn't enter the road recommended to us. This wasn't a problem as we eventually figured it out, but I would understand that this is not the most convenient way. As the front desk recommended this road, 2. Truly enjoyed the breakfast! However, it would be nice to have an option between orange juice and apple juice. More something my friend would've preferred. Overall the breakfast was completely worth it!

1. Room - spacious - clean 2. Location - quiet/peaceful - near bus stations, restaurants, chateau & museums - good base if you're going to Echternach, Diekirch, Larochette, Esch-sur-Sûre, & Wiltz 3. Staff - kind 4. Been to other medieval towns in several European countries. Vianden is also nice although much of the houses/buildings weren't preserved. 5. Few steps away from the church 6. Not so many noisy & selfie stick-hungry tourists.

1. No refrigerator in the room 2. Going to the hotel with heavy luggage is a challenge due to the cobbled walkway & uphill direction. Not so much issue if you arrive in a car & you don't carry your luggage everyday

Located in the city center, just a 15-minute walk from Vianden Castle, the hotel is really charming. It has a nice terrace, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and the building is an old monastery which was updated into a hotel. The room was spacious with a nice balcony with a view to the small garden, which was so cute. The location is strategic: close to city center and the castle, and there is a bakery just down the road with tasty pastries and a nice coffee. We stayed here as a base to enjoy the castles in Vianden and little cities nearby. There is a private parking for which you have to pay extra.

There is no AC, just a small fan. We stayed here during summer and sleeping was quite a challenge. The room was hot, and when we opened the balcony door in order to ventilate the room, bugs would come in which made our night uncomfortable. Upon request, they gave us a thinner sheet as the one on the bed was impossible to use because of the heat. I imagine staying here during the winter would be a better experience, as there is heating in the room. There was only one power outlet close to bed and in a very awkward position. The breakfast was quite expensive. You can have a really nice coffee with some pastry for half of this price in the bakery down the road.

The family hotel is old and authentic, full with a lot of antiques, but at the same time really well renovated, clean and comfortable. It has an old-time-y atmosphere, which makes it pretty cozy. We hade a nice view down the street and towards the nearby church. Easy to locate, friendly staff, clean bathroom, spacious room., big comfy bed. You can take the stairs or the elevator. There is a breakfast option as well if you pay an additional fee. There are just a few parking spots at the back of the hotel, so you have to book one in advance if you’re traveling with car. The staff was really friendly and understanding and let us park there for a bit while we were checking in and sorting our luggage. Otherwise you can park your car for free at the city entrance (7 min. walk) or against a fee near the nearest church (5 min. walk). It was safe and quiet. Also 5-6 min. walk to the city centre. Tip: there is a little café 5 min. away from the hotel right down the street, where you can have breakfast at a really reasonable prize (also a family run business, everything is baked on the spot, friendly staff). We enjoyed our stay! Would book again!

Sadly the restaurant of the hotel wasn’t open during our stay, would have loved to experience its old authentic vibe. Also, the hotel is a little bit on the pricier side, but I can see why!

The place is lovely, we were received with a beautiful hospitality. They reserved parking for us, for a fee, which was really convenient and helpful. There is a small elevator for those who are tired, which is nice. The room is good, spacious enough, pleasant toilet and shower and also a small balcony. A basic and comfortable room.

It would have been helpful if there was a coffee kit in the room and even a bottle of water. There were 2 separate mattresses in a double bed, in my eyes they were also a little too soft.

Huge room, good lighting, elevator, parking available in the rear, impeccably clean, fantastic location near downtown and the castle

I didn't find the staff very friendly unfortunately; the parking fee was excessive at 18 euros a day; the walls looked barren with only a couple of pictures; could hear people talking downstairs and climbing the stairs: expensive Continental breakfast: need an extra chair to place personal items on

We enjoyed the atmosphere of this hotel. It was as old and quaint as the rest of Vianden, and it was the perfect spot to explore the castle and surroundings from. Everything was clean, and we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I recommend booking a parking space as there isn't other parking around. Once we had parked the car we walked everywhere. There are great restaurants just down the road and a small bakery provides fresh croissants and coffee in the morning.

There is no kettle in the room but we were able to rent one from reception at a small fee.

Lovely old hotel, beautifully maintained. Full of character and wonderfully deorated. Fabulous location. The bed was probably the comfiest I have experienced, and daily cleaning in our room was an unexpected bonus. The balcony was worth a bit extra and the parking option, although expensive, was worthwhile. We arrived during a festival weekend and parking would have been very difficult without the reservation. Definitely would recommend and would stay again without hesitation.

Breakfast. We missed a muesli/cereal option and there was no fresh fruit. The food was plentiful and very fresh, but limited. One very small croissant and too much bread. We would have liked a hospitality tray. The hotel facilities don't open until 8am and as an early riser I missed my early morning cup of tea. A kettle was available for hire for a very small cost, but nothing was provided to make a drink and the rooms were too warm to keep milk without a fridge.
