Olympic size swimming pool for lane swimming exercise. House keeping called up to ask if house keeping service was required in the afternoon if I slept in and missed the house keeping service time in the morning. When requested for tissue or towel, they were delivered within 15 minutes, or would tell me when the required items would be delivered. Good communication!

10.30 am. breakfast time end but some food tray was empty without refill at the buffet food station. Guests should be notified that breakfast buffet food station would not be refilled after what time and restaurant light would be off by 10.30 am and that staffs would start tidy up the restaurant at 10.15 a.m. so that guests can make an informed decision not to go to the restaurant for breakfast. Any changes in breakfast serving time routine should let guest know when entering the restaurant before breakfast or when check in, especially when food station would have no refill.

Fantastic location . This is 10th stay . Staff is very friendly and helpful , also at the clubhouse and Pacific .

Pity they are building those huge apartment blocks right next to the property . Hotel needs to be seriously upgraded . Regularly thing don’t work or leak . Carpets are filthy , hadn’t even been vacuum cleaned when we moved in.

Congrats and thanks to the staff for always providing such warm greetings - particularly, but not only, in the mornings - and for their generally friendly and helpful attitude. I very much liked the hotel design, location and views. The facilities and services were generally good quality and mostly worked smoothly and effectively.

To quibble. .... there were a few "hiccups", over a 6 night stay, but nothing which couldn't be easily resolved one way or another. For a claimed 5* hotel, I thought some of the facilities show signs of wear and/or show their age. However, maybe a slight element of "faded glory" adds character?!

Everything was clean. No cockroaches. Nice swimming pool. Every staff was so nice. Reasonable price. I would definitely visit again if I come to Kota Kinabalu again next time.

I don't know if it was because the staff was too busy, or if there was a lack of communication between them, but every time I called room service, it took forever for them to show up. It took three calls and an hour of waiting to get an extra bed, and again, three calls and a whole afternoon to get towels to be changed. Other than that, everything was fine. Though they were slow, they were nice and kind.

Clean and big room, very comfortable big bed, wonderful views of pool and sea. Kind staff. We enjoyed the food at Al Frescos and especially at Ferdinand’s! Also the horizon Skybar of the pacific Sutera hotel was awesome - drinks, music, food, service and views were spectacular! Highly recommend going there.

Staff was sometimes quite slow and confused, we waited very long for food at Al Frescos, then we learned it seemed to have been forgotten, then we were told the kitchen had finished our dishes so we had to order new dishes. The Breakfast has a wide variety of choices, however I would prefer less choices and higher quality. Room Service took more than 20-30min to call me back, by then I did not need the order anymore. We enjoyed our stay a lot, however I would recommend that the staff tell the guests more about all the different facilities of the resort and the neighboring pacific hotel, as we only learned about a lot of the options late in our stay.

The breakfast was really great. The bed was comfortable. The service from the staff at the restaurants and at breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of space in our room.

We booked a sea view room, but our room was pretty much a pool view room. Our view of the sea was mostly blocked by palm trees and our windows were facing in the wrong direction to view the sea fully. The staff at the front desk were surprisingly unknowledgeable about the housekeeping of the internal operations of the hotel (were not familiar with the laundry process and how to charge this).

room was always properly setup and cleaned. bfast could include more Sabahan dishes and goodies please.

Awesome breakfast. Safe as it was gated with security guard. The pool area was clean with the pool attendant paying close attention to safety while not spoiling the fun.

Understand that due to security reason, we cant order food delivery. Thus we have to go out and get food thats not available in the resorts restaurant like the local foods. Would like to have stayed at the resort while having food delivered. In house dining was great especially dining during sunset in the comfort of our room.

Swimming pools - you can use all of the swimming pools across 3 different locations. There are slides and a 50m pool. Beach - there is a small beach for snorkelling right by the pool Evening meal in the restaurant with live music Live music also in the lobby Room was comfortable with balcony Breakfast had lots of choice Lots of facilities (you can use the facilities of the marina club) Beautiful hotel and sunsets

Quality of food and drinks at breakfast was not as good as at some top hotels, but it was good enough for us Litter in the sea and on the beach although this is no fault of the hotel and the staff do try to clear it

Place: The room was spacious and clean. The design was also decent. The air-con reasonable so we didn't get sick. Pool was big and also very clean. They had a tiny but cute sandy beach with very warm water. The sunset was a highlight of the day. Food: Breakfast has wide variety of food. Some of them were good, some of them not so good. Fruits were tasty. There were egg, pancake and noodle stations so everybody could choose. Staff were helpful. Our card was deactivated several times due to weak security of the NFC, but they were smiling all the time they activated the card for us. :D

Place: For a 5* resort, we expected more. Club lounge and some other places were smelly (fried oil, sewerage). The food and drinks on the menu overall were so so and prices were high comparing to other places. High-tea was a disappointment. They put 1 tea bag to a big teapot so the tea tasted like water. The pastries and sweets were average. Club lounge smelled after fried oil so it ruined the experience. I'd give it 4* at best.
