The river view is worth the price if you're going to stay in the room. Booked the cheapest room with river view and another king suite room with city view, although there's living room space, bathtub and well thought design, the view plays such an important aspect. But room was clean with Crabtree and Evelyn touch is nice. Pool wasn't crowded and it's a nice that there's 2m deep part to swim around. The hotel scent was distinct that of Hilton. Guest toilet on ground floor was impressive. Bed was good, with reading lights control for both side of the beds. Not overly soft that one will sink it, nice balance. Staff exudes professionalism. Parking was conveniently connected to the hotel. They did a great job in sprucing up the hotel. As of January 11th stay, no construction going on and it was perfect. Though the lift has odors of recent construction.

That I didn't take the river view. The city view overlooking tune hotel and the others are just bland concrete jungle. The lift has faint construction scent but it'll go away eventually. The ground floor tiles reminisce of older times luxury, those dark coloured granite but that's just me. Glass water is not it, not enough and insufficient for drinking.

On the whole, it was a wonderful experience. We were very impressed by the breakfast, so many varieties and they were very tasty. We absolutely loved the hotel staff, they were very nice, considerate and helpful all the time, gave us great recommandations. The location was very good; we were close to all major attraction points.

The only negative thing worth mentioning would be that it wasn't very clean. Don't get me wrong, it was okey, but cleaning can be improved. The bathroom shower wasn't very clean (not sure if the shower and glass were cleaned before us); we found one orange peel in the room on the table lamp, the dust wasn't cleaned off.

Location was pretty good as it was nearby most of the places of interest. It is also a plus point that the hotel is just a step away from the waterfront area and you can view the water fountain performance from the comfort of your hotel room.

We were there when the hotel was undergoing some renovations so there was some noise disturbances but it was not too bad. There were also times when the air-conditioning was switched off and this made staying inside the hotel room sometimes uncomfortable.

The hotel is still in the renovation phase; it was clearly indicated on the website. At 11 am, we were able to enter the room as compensation for the noise from the construction works. We thought that being on the 10th floor and having a room on the 6th would be tolerable, but the noise turned out to be quite significant. We reported it to the reception and were given an upgrade to the 2nd floor. Blissful room, tastefully renovated, super clean. The breakfast with a view of the Saramak River was perfect; freshly squeezed pineapple, carrot... everything was warm, crispy, with discreet and professional staff, and a large, well-maintained pool, all overlooking the Kuching waterfront. After many rooftop swimming experiences, this spacious pool surrounded by a beautiful garden was a breath of fresh air.

The hotel has a sleek, modern appearance and unfolds like a white folder around the bend of the river. The facade could use a coat of paint, perhaps even some color.

The room is a spacious, well-lit space with modern furnishings, including a comfortable queen-sized bed, a large wardrobe, desk space, and a flat-screen TV. The establishment is conveniently located in the heart of downtown, within walking distance of local attractions, restaurants, and shops. The breakfast spread includes a variety of options.

The hotel service could certainly use some improvements, particularly when it comes to providing adequate toiletries. It is quite inconvenient to have to constantly request top-ups for basic necessities during our stay.

Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean. Food good. Great location on the riverside.

Not exactly what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Nothing wrong but room decor and furniture was obviously old. Room service took over an hour on the first night. Couldn't open middle door between bedroom and living room in the suite we had. Asked them to open it when we were out but when we came back it still wasn't open. TBH quite expensive considering the age of the room.

Excellent location, located at the central area yet secluded. Very friendly and accomodating staff. Room are clean and comfortable. Its not fancy with the bling bling clubs for party, but definitely great for family stay, good choice for your family vacation or a secure and quite night

Hotel is slightly aged but its still good value for money

Great location right down by the river front with an excellent pool which the kids loved playing around in. The breakfast is superb - great choice, from local food like Laksa and Kolo Mee to Indian choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

One negative was how cold it was in the hotel - the Aircon was unbelievable. The reception area was like a freezer - the whole week we were there it rained a fair bit and wasn't actually that warm outside - sometimes 24 degrees but still the Aircon was pumped out. My son got an Aircon fever and was sick for a day. I highly recommend not making it so cold in future!

Booked two rooms with River View and connecting doors. The river view is fantastic, can't be matched. Size of the room is good, is clean and has all the amenities that you would need. Reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant downstairs is well provisioned and the food and service is up to standard. Check in and Check out procedures were very clear and fast.

Hotel was going through rooms renovations in our floor, that was not communicated at the time of doing the reservation. Noise was only from 8am but was there with drilling, so at times when you wanted some rest in the room, it was annoying. We had not renovated rooms and you could tell that the furniture, bathroom, carpet, etc... was quite tired already.

Hilton is a great base to explore the city center. Reliable staff and perfect location by the river. While the hotel was under renovation, the public spaces and hotel room remained comfortable.

Not much. The hotel was under renovation, so the gym and spa were closed during my stay. But they provided access to the gym in nearby Pullman hotel. Look forward to seeing the hotel's new facilities when the uplift is completed.
