The locarion of the hotel is just awesome. It’s connected to a mall, so if you need to withdraw cash or have a quick run to the pharmacy or buy anything, it’s pretty convenient. It’s alos opposite a local foodcourt with a variety of local dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner at cheap prices. The hotel is also within walking distance to the Taiping Lake, and even the Taiping Zoo.

The hotel parking requires you to go up a few levels, through what looks like almost deserted parking spaces. Once you enter the area for the hotel parking, the allocated parking spaces are not clearly marked which is confusing, and it has limited number of spaces. The parking area could do with a little bit of maintenance or upkeep.

Easy and safe parking. Nice city and mountain view from premier room. Easy walking to nice eating places. next to shopping mall. comfortable room and bed. clean toilet.

Not so good at giving information. Need more training on this. My questions in booking.com was not answered but silently they prepared what I needed. I wanted a connecting rooms both with double beds. Ended, I have to accept a room for my parents with two single beds. According to the employee, the layout is such, 1 room with king bed, the other room is single beds. If only they responded to my message in Booking.com, I could have made a more better plan.

The room was clean and neat. There even was a sofa and a study table. Nice view facing the hills and lake. I simply loved the greenery view. Managed to even capture rainbow as it was raining and sunny. The beds was so comfy and the pillows were fluffy. Had a good sleep. Bathroom was clean and decent size. Strong water pressure that, one will enjoy the shower. Ordered in house dinner-room service. I ordered Penang fried kuey teow. Came in generous portion and tasted delicious too! In the morning, I went down to level 7 cafe for breakfast buffet. It a simple spread of food and I would say still worth the money (RM 32++). Enjoyed my breakfast looking at the greenery foggy hills. It was beautiful. Overall it was a pleasant stay! It is recommendable and if I travel to Taiping again, will definitely stay here again.

The lighting in the room can be improved. Eventhough there's side bed lights and stand lights, I feel the room was abit dimmed. Breakfast time could be extended to 11am for some people hardly can eat very early in the morning. As I got down around 10am to cafe, while I started to eat, the staff came and told me to that they are closing at 10.30am. I'm a slow eater, thus I had to rush my pace. Would have enjoyed it relaxly if had more time. Not so comfortable eating when the staff are cleaning up surrounding.

There are many restaurants and places to go nearby the hotel, easy to find parking inside the building. The facility is alright, just the pool is closed too early, at 6 or 7 pm I have forgotten. The changing room at the pool is clean, well maintained, I like it. Everything in the room is good, well functioning. The stuff is friendly, and the atmosphere is great.

The room painting and bathroom basin cleanliness, the pipe next to the toilet seat is not working well. The smoking area is on the walkway to the toilet for guests who dine in their restaurant, which I think should be relocated to somewhere near the changing room as it won't cause trouble to those guests, bad for those children who tried to use the bathroom halfway they eating. I mean I'm a smoker, and I felt bad when they passed through me smoking in that area.

Very comfortable room. We booked a room with a King bed and it comfortably accommodated my wife and 2 little children and myself. Bed was firm yet pliant and supportive. All facilities in the room worked well and the toilet was really outstanding. Toiletries were very good. Space was good, our children could roll around and play with a good sized desk for working and a nice sofa for lounging. Lighting was rather dim with no down lights in the main room area so lighting that area required that standing lamp and desk lamp to be switched on so that it was bright enough. Disappointing that the tv was so antiquated we couldn't even do screen mirroring from our mobile phones. Hotel is right in the centre of the city. Definitely walking distance to many eating places around the hotel and Taiping Gardens and the Zoo. Really good location. Breakfast was good, pretty wide variety with some rotations in food items every day. Dinner at the same Food Exchange restaurant wasn't that good. Our room aircon broke down in the early morning of our third day's stay. In fact I think the whole floor's aircon broke down. I spoke to the front desk and the corridors' aircon was turned back on. By the time we returned to our room in the evening, the room wasn't cold at all. We informed front desk and about 20 min later we were given another room, 2 floors down but same unit number. As I was packing the car in preparation for check-out, I went to the new room first to test the aircon. This was about 9.00 pm. By 10.00 pm, the room was still warm, I contacted front desk and the technical people were deployed again to the new room and we had to wait for another room. Fortunately I didn't shift my family from our original room and my kids were already sleeping. Finally we were given a quite one floor down from the second room and the hotel staff accompanied me to check out the room. The room was huge and super luxurious and the aircon was super cold.

Very convenient. Attached to a slow paced mall. Within proximity to many eateries and a few blocks away from the lake. Everything was clean and well maintained. Especially love the view! The family room at level 7 has an Xbox one. Had I not need to work, I’d probably spend my time in that room all day. Pool looks dirty, but is actually clean. Towels are always hot, and the gym is fantastic. Didn’t take breakfast because there are plenty of local food to try nearby.

No real complaints. Lift is slow. Parking is high up at level 6. No long bath.

The staff were amongst the best I have had the pleasure to come across. The pool is of a good size and was well maintained as was the gym. Wisely, the pool is closed during bad weather. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The chefs were very accommodating and the table staff very efficient and polite. The dining room was very busy over the bank holiday weekend, and they coped well. All the reception staff were efficient and polite. They always greeted us with a smile. The security/concierge were equally a pleasure to meet when coming in or out. I apologise for not remembering names! The rooms were kept very clean and seemed to be done as soon as we left the room having illuminated the please make up light. Finally, the direct access to the Mall was good , particularly when it was raining.

There is nothing I did not like.

Staff were very friendly and nice. Room upkeeping and cleanliness were good. Location is excellent -- the hotel sits atop and is directly connected to a shopping mall which is doing quite OK, and is located within a 5-minute walk to the serene and scenic Taiping Lake Garden. There is a food court selling a variety of value-for-money local foods and a number of good restaurants (including vegetarian!) and coffee shops within good walking distances. The hotel is also within good walking distances to the heritage core of the town. Breakfast was good.

The view from the room is majestic. You can get pool view, lake view, town view and mountain view all in one with a reasonable price. The room is fitted with quite new furnitures. The cafe is quite small but you will be surprised with the varieties of foods served. The food provided during the breakfast was the best among the hotel with this price range. The overall taste of the foods was excellent . Kudos to the chefs. Located in the middle of Taiping City, above a shopping mall with various reputable shops, definitely a hidden gem.

No balcony to enjoy the fresh Taiping air

The room was lovely, with huge windows and views of the surrounding area. From our vantage point, it was super to see the mountains, as well as the Taiping gardens, which were also very accessible too. The breakfast provisions were ample for 1-2 days, and for the most part, the facilities were good too. The outdoor pool was a nice size, with decent space around the edge for sunbathing if necessary. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the use of glass rather than plastic was a nice touch too. Overall, it was incredible value for money too!

The gym was undergoing maintenance so was inaccessible during our stay, yet throughout that time, we didn't see anyone doing any work on it, so it would have been good to be able to make full use of it.
