Very large accommodations. 2 full bathrooms in a 1 bedroom condo. 2 balconies. Clean and comfortable. Pool and ocean view. Gr8 staff. Close enough to, yet far enough away from the main drag. Would absolutely stay there again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like necessarily but know this resort is an older facility. But why pay over a thousand dollars per night for the grand solmar next door for the same view?

We stayed two weeks at Solmar Resort....we really enjoyed our stay ! We saw the humpback 🐋 whales from the resort, walked the nice beach ⛱ and really enjoyed the pool area including Rodolfo the Activities director ! They had a pizza oven (was very good pizza) and sushi was also good ! Restaurant and the pool area food was all good ! Loved the Happy Hour (2 for 1) ! The resort is kept up very nice ! Everyone is very friendly and social ! We could see the whales from our balcony at times !!

You can not swim the Pacific ocean side (you can walk the beach which is nice)

Great food, great drinks and very happy staff/people! Extremely clean! So helpful! Great location to town, marina, restaurants, shopping and clubs

Need to do something to help with the flys while dinning outside - (knowing you cannot control beach flies!) but some measures can/should be taken to help with the issue. Who doesn't want to sit outside on a beautiful beach for a meal whenever you can?!

The smaller size of the resort was great. No mile long walks from the room to the pool or restaurants. The staff were very personable, attentive and helpful. Pools were clean, good sized and service there was great. Location was close enough to walk to marina area, 5-10 minutes. The food was very good. The waves crashing in on the beach are spectacular to watch.

If you want ocean swimming this isn’t the resort for you. There is no ocean swimming here. We ere okay with it, others took water taxis to swimming beaches.

Views and VIP treatment were Amazing. The best sunsets and property was super clean and visually pleasing. Walked to town. Short stroll and youre there. SAFE any time of the day. Even in the late night. Plenty of locals around as you are near the locals beach. YOU CANNOT SWIM IN THE OCEAN. ITS RIPCURRENTS ARE TOO STRONG. Enjoy the pools and the scenery. Swimming as at MEDANO BEACH 20 min away. I am a HOTEL CONCIERGE and I reccomend Solmar for your stay. Noe the concierge is professional and Knowledgeable. Ask for his services.

Did not like the food. It was simple and expensive. It it were delicious and flavorful, charge me all you want. Dont charge me for flavorless food. Did not like the Hot beers. Come on...Ite mexico. Cold Beer please!!!

The quality of food at breakfast and supper was excellent and the poolside lunches and snacks were very good. The variety was also very good for a week long stay. The rooms were dated, but very clean, functional and comfortable. The resort itself is small, but well maintained and comfortable and the wifi was excellent throughout the entire resort. Service was always cheerful in reception and the servers poolside and in the restaurant were prompt, courteous and friendly.

The room fixtures and decor were quite dated. While access to the sister resort facilities were available, it would have been nice to have an on-site fitness facility. The billing and tipping process for the all-inclusive package was not explained at check-in, and led to some confusion early on.

Solmar is a smaller resort and pretty quiet, right on the beach. Though you aren’t allowed in the water because of the danger on the Pacific side, we didn’t mind at all. it is in a beautiful spot - built into the volcanic rock hills and the rock formations at the south end of the beach are amazing. Our room was very spacious, had a separate bedroom, utility kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies. we were on the top floor so we had a nice view. It is right on the beach and you could listen to the ocean from everywhere. it is an easy short walk to town and the marina. the staff is super friendly - especially Noe the Concierge - he was invaluable to helping us learn about the resort, the area, and make plans. Arturo and Alberto were great beach/pool servers - they got to know us and were very friendly. The food was very good. They have a sushi lunch/early evening hut. We did the all-inclusive option and it was definitely worth it.

Unfortunately it is on the Pacific side and the undertow and current is so strong that you are not allowed in the water, but that didn’t bother us. There is only 1 restaurant open for all meals and another small one for dinner only. We only had 1 TV in the suite that was in the bedroom - no TV in the living room.

So many things, but most of all the amazing and kind staff! I was recovering from an injury and was on a cane during my stay.and everyone genuinely made sure I was comfortable. From the time I checked-in Elsa and Juan helped ensure I had an accessible room and helped me get to my room. Throughout my stay Ivan, Armando and one more (can't remember his name unfortunately) ensured I was transported to my room in a wheelchair. Everyone was so genuinely kind.

I knew it while booking that the property was on the older side, but the cleanliness of the hotel and room more than made up for the outdated decor.

It was a smaller resort where we didn’t need to use an elevator, it’s was awesome being outside in the warm weather.

The menu got boring and the seafood was horrid except on our last night they offered a special- snapper which was out of this world delicious what you expect in Cabo.

Great Location, Facility was nice, great price, pretty good service, rooms were clean.

I can't say I disliked anything. The only small issues I had, and these are my preferences were: the mattress on the bed was hard, the pull-out sofa was very uncomfortable for my kids, the A/C did not cool as well (it was not hot but not as cool as I prefer), and the mini fridge did not work. Would this keep me from staying here again NOT AT ALL. (I did not even report the issues to the front office).
