The staff! Ingrid, Nancy, Ricardo the beach lifeguard, Hilario, etc.. all were amazing and made me feel like i was part of their family. The location is excellent being right across the street from the marina and a shopping mall. i walked everywhere from this resort and felt safe the entire time which is good being i was traveling solo. it’s close to downtown with lots of restaurants, pharmacies, shops. i would definitely go back.

There is a lot of walking as the property is huge. The beach isn’t swimmable but the waves are gorgeous. I wish the property had servers on the beach for drinks and food for those of us who didn’t want to be around the pool areas where there was constant loud music blaring. The pool umbrellas and seating was always filled so if i wanted shade i had to go down to the beach. But that is a small inconvenience compared to the many MANY good things. The food is mediocre but i am not super picky so it was fine for me. i didn’t have to make it so that was a bonus for me!

The location and the landscape are at the top notch in this area. You will never get bored with the views either on the marina/downtown side or on the ocean side. The Junior Suite is spacious enough and very comfy. A variety of choices in restaurants and bars which are doing their jobs just right. The aerobics sessions in the pool and the evening shows are very enjoyable too. Staff are all nice and they helped me have fun, or find solutions when I have issues (thanks especially to Armand at the reception as well as Yuki, Yair and Victor at the pool area). Also, it seems someone is always cleaning somewhere and the facility is in fact kept very clean. Overall, my stay was truly fantastic despite being on a solo trip basis. I would love to be back with my family next time.

The only real drawback is Wi-Fi quality throughout the facility. The draining hole of the bath tub in my room was not sealed tightly and the water was gone in few minutes.

Dinners were all excellent, actually all the food was excellent, and we tried several different venues and foods. Drink service at the pool was also excellent. Norma was outstanding at taking our orders at the pool and bringing drinks and food back very quickly. She did an excellent job making sure everyone had anything they needed. We also loved the location and the ability to walk around the Marina.

Our first room smelled very bad, like sewer. We requested a new room and were placed in a worse location on the ground level with a street right outside our door, so we felt we were punished for complaining that our room smelled bad. We mentioned that we felt downgraded for complaining about the first room, so we were moved again on the third night, and were very happy with the location of our third room. There was a jacuzzi near our room that was never hot. We would have loved to be able to enjoy it, but it was far too cold to sit in. Overall, the facility was nice, just seemed to need a little better maintenance in a few areas.

Food was great, staff was wonderful, pool was fun, drinks were delicious!

We were in room 8101 (marina view) and it was very far from the lobby and pool. Would not recommend this room if you have any mobility problems as there are a lot of stairs and no way to avoid them.

I liked that the hotel is centrally located and walking distance to downtown. The view from the 7th floor terrace at night is stunning. It overlooks the marina and it is reminiscent of the Hollywood Hills with all the brilliance of the city lights down below. The staff were all very very nice. They were engaging, approachable and helpful.

The food is horrible. Zero flavor, zero seasoning. Instead of gaining weight at the all inclusive hotel, I lost weight from mal nutrition. With the exception of the Italian restaurant, I ate at all the other restaurants on the property and none was enjoyable. I had better luck with the mixed drinks served on property.

We loved Sandos Finisterra! Everyone was so nice, the staff just incredible. The location was great! You have the beach and the marina plus just steps away from restaurants bars stores. You cant swim on that part of the beach but you just walk to the other side of the marina where its swimmable, the resort has 3 pools which were all fun! Food was delicious for all restaurants. Can’t wait to be back.

The only restaurant we do have a complaint is Tortuga, the food was great but the wait time was not good. Our waiter kept forgetting things, and there was a few ppl that waited over 40min for their food we waited about 25-30min. I recommend to reserve ahead of time.

We had the most wonderful time at Sandos Finisterra! The staff was kind and welcoming; the food was exceptional, and our room was beautiful. The location is great as you are right by the town, which also houses the marina, and you can walk there to shop, jog, go to restaurants, etc. The beach was absolutely beautiful; you were not allowed to go in the water as the waves were massive and the undercurrent was too strong. There are several big pools, so this was a non-issue for us. I recommend upgrading as it gives you the ability to go to the 7th floor pool, which is more intimate with its own bar. The bartender there, Ismael, is fantastic! I also recommend the travel service through Sandos, Seek and Go. Our drivers were prompt and friendly. Overall, it was a tremendous time!

I loved the VIP pool!!! The breakfast was good and dinner at the italian place was excellent. I also loved the view from our room and our room was amazing

I did not like that only one place was open at lunch, and I did not even know there was pizza at one of the pools until the last day. Also only the driver from the airport warned us to not swim on the beach because of the under tow and it was bad.

The resort is pretty nice and spacious. The spa was absolutely the best thing on the resort hands down to me! Don’t take my word for it. we got a massage at the same time, afterwards went in the spa pool it was all included just pay for the massage which was nice! The staff very nice around the resort however the concierge’s team didn’t seem that helpful to me as they changed staff it was like I had to repeat my request for my birthday so bring your own things if possible. Now the regular staff was helpful nice I also like how they keep track of the Taxi numbers going in and out of the resort incase of emergency I forgot my bag in one of taxi and one of the other Taxi men were able to locate him :) I was so relieved. The restaurants were nice. overall 9 1/2 :) entire experience

concierge Team wasn’t that helpful and lack of communication. Bring your own things.

Sandos Finisterra is an awesome all inclusive resort and all of the staff treat you like family!!
