Wowww this was a stunning place to stay! It exceeded my expectations and I have stayed in a lot of places in Mexico. The property was beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and beach and the moon rise, the room was brand new and clean and I loved the communal kitchen up top. We had delicious pod coffee in our room and loved the projector loaded with movies & tv shows. The little patio with a personal firepit was nice at night, the jacuzzi overlooking the valley, the parking was spacious and safe, it was dog-friendly - my dog loved wandering around the grounds. Would definitely return!

Great location up on the hill overlooking K38 Surf spots. The views were awesome, and the accommodation was clean and quiet. The hot tub was a bonus! The main desk was very nicely done, and the kitchen was well appointed if you needed to prepare any food. The projector in the room was a nice touch, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall 3 nights there were just enough to enjoy the area and get some waves.
The hot water for the shower could have been better. The shower itself is really nice with a rainfall showerhead, but I suspect that by the time the water makes it through the pipes up to the shower head and is dispersed, it's already cooled down too much, making for lukewarm to cool showers. Fine for summer when it's hot, but when it's cold at night, a cold shower just isn't pleasant. I ended up using the basin tap where the water was still hot and a small bucket to keep myself warm in the shower which worked for me in the end.

Everything about this property is tops. We travel A LOT and Native is our home away from home. The staff is awesome , the rooms are awesome . The decor is awesome, everything about Native is magnificent. So much so that i bought one of their shirts. Native goes above and beyond in ways that no other property does. Honestly .. it is the closest to perfection i have experienced.
Sometimes when we need a place its completely booked and we have to stay elsewhere. Every property in this area should strive to be like Native

Able to slow down and enjoy the facilities and take in views, christ statue, and enjoy sounds of the hundreds of toads in valley floor. Staff very pleasant and fantastic breakfast. The mole chiliquiles plate was best I ever had..
Web site in booking.com is rather disorganized. Helpful if there was better map showing how to get off and onto highway. Also seems no way to enter nearby onto or off highway from South side. Photos should identify which rooms are 1-6 or else a diagram of facility.

Location was amazing! We enjoyed having close access to K38 beach and being in between Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo. Breakfast was delicious!
There were ants in our room. The showerhead leaked periodically (maybe when the upstairs unit used their shower?) and made a loud "ping noise" when the water dripped onto the shower drain. Neither were considered serious issues.

The view and the overall ambience were great. The amenities available like the community kitchen, the honor bar, and the hot tub were also very convenient. Their staff is fantastic, and they make you feel like old friends. Your stay can be as casual or as boujee as you desire. Carlos booked two masseuses on very short notice to surprise my husband for his birthday. They will also arrange excursions, yoga lessons, etc. Pet friendly places are also hard to find, and our pup had a great time. We are looking forward to our next stay.

The Host? he’s the most: proactive -instantaneous- in helpful communications, regardless of any & all questions, requests, wants, requirements or needs. Staff? “Service~Before~Self approach to friendly, old-school customer~Service.” Security? during my stay, it’s the subtle, reassuring on-site presence of Carlos ( “Hey, Carlos!” ) & there’s another layer at the gated entrance with a manned Guard 24/7. The rest, is what you read on the reviews that you will realize, once you stay: earned/ worthy of the 10/ 10 rating. I found this place, as I simply needed a convenient place to bunk, prior to making an early AM run for the USA border, as part of a longer trip from 🇨🇦 to Cabo San Lucas, return. I Think that 1st stay was measured in a few to several hours. I prefer to stay in boutique hotels; I’ve travelled to 30+ countries… …&, I’ve returned each year -with purpose- to Tijuana, just to stay at the Native Residence. Come. Stay. Enjoy. Repeat.
when it’s time to leave.

Native Residence Without a doubt, this is our favorite hotel on the west coast, and one of the top five in the 24 countries and 21 states we have traveled to over the years. We’ve even decided to make this our homebase whenever we travel to Tijuana, Rosarito beach, or Ensenada and nixed the idea of buying a property here. There are six suites that are made from re-purposed storage containers. Trey and his girlfriend have done a fantastic job of making each one unique and their decorations. The have floor to ceiling windows, giving you a spectacular view of K 38, the most popular surf beach in the area. The beds are super comfy, the linens are soft and luxurious, the pillows are perfect and the towels are super soft. The walk-in shower has ample room for two and has one of those rainfall showerheads. There is a couch, small fridge, air conditioning, and a projector TV system. The deck has two granite couches and a sun bed for two. The bathroom even has a large plate glass window with plenty of privacy. Alma and Carlos and their staff are amazing! Very friendly and accommodating, Always asking if there’s anything we need. It has a great room on the top floor that has a fully stocked kitchen where are you are welcome to cook your meals. and a substantial bar which is on the honor system. They even have a large German shepherd mix named Pablo, who greets everyone. He developed a crush on Muffy, our 3 1/2 pound two year-old teacup Pomeranian. needless to say, I am a huge fan of Native Residence. Check it out! You’ll be glad you did!
That we had to leave 😎

The room was beautiful, comfortable and had an amazing view with a terrace outside to enjoy the sunshine. The location was great-just 45 mins taxi from Tijuana airport and 10mins walk to the beach and some cafes and places to eat. I didn't have a car so was glad I could walk to some places. The breakfast I had was amazing, wish I had time to have it again. I enjoyed the hot tub at sunrise too.

Carlos was terrific!! Loved the community kitchen! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. All Casas were booked but we hardly saw anyone. Very private and relaxing.
The stairs going up were difficult with luggage. Definitely needs black out curtains. Can't watch TV until night time. Projector TV needs a retractable screen. Wish there were more options for food there!
