Everything. It's a beautiful boutique hotel with loads of amazing details, each room is a work of art, they have everything I wanted for a bargain price. There's someone in duty 24X7, unexpected in such a small place. The hotel is small, but full of Mexican art. And in the morning, they cook you a lovely and delicious breakfast to order. It's close to everything, every person there was so great to deal with, I won't stay anywhere else when I go to Tlaquepaque/Guadalajara. It's a tremendous value. I've already been to Mexico 5 times this year alone, and this is my favorite hotel in the entire country.

There was nothing that was short of excellent.

The breakfast was wonderful and the location was amazing, with all the traffic Guadalajara can have it was wonderful to be able to walk to excellent restaurants and shopping.

Thought everything was wonderful

Breakfast was delicious!

I liked everything and everyone at Casa Alfareros. What I didn’t like was that booking is advertising this place to have parking and they don’t have parking.

It was a gorgeous boutique hotel, the decor is unique, everything was updated and well taken care of, clean and comfortable beds and bath. The air conditioning was a must for us. They supply a water bottle daily, refill the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and comfy towels. Larissa welcomed us at reception with a refreshing beverage (it was 95*F outside!). The whole staff was very friendly and accommodating with a couple of requests we needed support with. Breakfast was included in our package and Isabel is a great chef, offering fresh food options daily. I had a different entree each morning, her chilaquiles and zucchini with mushrooms side dishes were delicious. The location is great, right by all the entertainment, shopping and restaurants. It felt safer because there’s an additional gate at the entrance and you gotta get buzzed in, there’s someone on site 24/7. One of my favorite things was sitting by the terrace watching the hummingbirds frequent the feeders and dancing all around while I relaxed. They also have massage therapy available if you schedule in advance. Yessica was my physiotherapist and simply amazing. Didn’t watch a lot of tv but it was nice they had HBO and other channels included. Would definitely stay here again. For the reviewers complaining about simple things like water temperature, small trashcans and petty things, just stop it! This is not an expensive all-inclusive resort and you get more personalized service and better food than some of the pricier hotels. Last, don’t complain about them not speaking English, that’s your entitlement, not their responsibility. Just be kind, they do their best daily.

Not a dislike, it’s an observation. There’s no elevator, we didn’t need it, just didn’t know and I had a big suitcase. Ask for a downstairs room if you can’t do stairs, yet it’s more quiet upstairs.

The air conditioning was heavenly. The facilities are clean and very nice (beautiful artwork and decor). Relaxing and quiet. Close to everything, but still tucked away a bit. We felt very secure in the property and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast in the AM, cooked to order was a huge plus; my husband said the coffee was exceptional.

The room was a little small, but it was still very nice. Note: there is no elevator, so if you cannot walk up stairs much, ask for a ground floor room.

We had stayed at a nice place the night before that was lovely but we never saw the owners or any staff...it seemed so cold. Then we came to Casa Afareros and were immediately offered refreshments, we had an exceptional room, all the staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast cooked for us personally was delicious and as we left, we were offered a gift! We felt like a king & queen! Lovelyn experience and we will return! A great location as well.

The lobby and breakfast area are quaint and comfortable. It’s decorated it quite nicely. Every staff member I interacted with was very kind and accommodating. The breakfast that I had two days in a row was amazing. My king size bed was extremely comfortable. The location was exceptional because it was on a one-way street that was quiet yet still very close to all the main attractions in Tlaquepaque.

As with most places in Mexico there are steps to climb to get to your room. I stayed for two nights but I’m in Mexico for five weeks so my suitcase was huge and heavy. But someone helped me carry my bag and they were very very nice about it.

We had a gorgeous room in an exquisite, cozy place. It is truly a boutique hotel. It's incredibly close to the breathtaking beauty of Tleuepeque's pedestrian street that's lined with artful shops. You'll wish you had more room in your luggage after a look in even one shop in this region. It's marvelous. We walked to a nearby museum of ceramics. You can walk and find so many delicious restaurants it's hard to choose. Gourmet ice cream is around the corner; just look for the long line. Everyone working here was so welcoming and they were patient in spite of my poor Spanish. I appreciated their kindness in helping us arrange an Uber to the airport. We wish we could have stayed longer! If you want to experience this region, you could not chose a better place to stay.

I have zero complaints. I wish we had stayed longer.
