The owner/architect, Kachi has designed both a stunningly gorgeous collection of buildings and their adjacent gardens. So much attention has gone into the facilities but even more importantly into the loving vibe. Every member on the staff is there to serve their guests. Susie, our waitress, surprised us every day. From picking different locations for our dinner table to designing a flower pedal heart on top of our bed. The menu is small but excellent. Felix, their chef is a veteran of first rate restaurants. Everything is very fresh and made from scratch. From the salads to the seafood to the cheesecake, all is beautifully prepared. There is good swimming directly from their dock. Kayaks are provided. Various size free weights are spread around. Well balanced and comfortable hammocks abound. Villa LaLa is a VERY special place.

This place was truly wonderful. It’s truly an oasis, so peaceful and beautiful. We felt at times like we had the place to ourselves, never crowded. The staff were so kind and accommodating. Maria was in charge most of the time we were, she made sure we had everything we needed and did so with such genuine kindness. The food was excellent as were all the drinks we had. We stayed two nights at another resort and honestly missed the food and drink at Lala so much. We will absolutely be returning.

We stayed here in late June and there was a heat wave during our stay. Our room got a little warm in the evening which didn’t really bother us because the fan would turn up quite high. I hate to even put this as a complaint because it was so minor, but I figure it might upset someone if they really are bothered by being a little warm.

The attention to detail in the design and development of the property is outstanding and so creative. The hotel is in gorgeous location and has an attentive staff. We liked having some meals brought to our room. Our private swimming pool overlooking the bay was fabulous.

The staff needs training regarding food and wines and they need a chef, not a cook. Lunch and dinner meals were bland, no spices or herbs were detected. I imagine most of the guests are well traveled and appreciate fine food. One staff person was serving us wine, he was clueless about the names of white and red wines. The owner should think outside the box as it is a legitimate concern that this is a small operation; perhaps hire a chef to design the menus and oversee the prep so a trained cook can prepare the meals while the chef is able to spend his/her professional time elsewhere.

Villa LaLa is perhaps the most beautiful hotel I have had the pleasure of visiting . My husband and I travel extensively all over the world so have been to a lot of hotels. The setting is perfect, and rooms are thoughtful and very comfortable. The food is simple, but cooked to perfection, fresh and delicious. Lots of little romantic nooks where you can be alone and look at the beauty of the surrounding nature. The staff (especially Jose), are so thoughtful and helpful). We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here and I hope that we will be back for the 40th!

I loved everything about this property particularly the room we had which had spectacular views of the Bahia de Banderas. Also loved the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay even that more comfortable and enjoyable as well as the lovely food coming out of the on-site kitchen.

The only downside was that there’s new construction going on with the hotel expansion so it was often quite noisy but that will go away within the next few months so not a major criticism.

From the history, design, owner and team. It can only be explained as pure quality. Made with love, every day breakfast is served and personally made by a small lovely team. Pre order dinner with local fish and produce. Calm relaxing breathtaking views. A real home made into a villa maintaining a welcoming homely feel. Go down to boca beach approx 10 minutes walk and catch a water taxi to all the beaches on the coast. Do a trek of the beaches to las aminas approx 3.5 hours non stop. Super clean. No room numbers they know you by name. Only 7 rooms and service is 5 star tentative polite but not invasive on your alone time . I will definitely return we miss them all already. Stayed in a junior suite great view, lots of room for clothes, curved red sofa super comfy to lounge in! Nic & Adam

Only thing is the taps in the shower was confusing. Never figured out how it worked lol.

Stunning and serene. A perfect quiet (and feels like a secret) getaway. Oceanfront, scenic views, beautifully kept rooms with tons (and I mean tons) of closet space. Staff were extremely accommodating with food, beverage and water sport requests.

Recommend having a rental car to easily explore botanical gardens and Chico’s paradise cliffs.

Getting to the property. Need to be able to describe or show the drivers. It is a boutique hotel, but there are a ton of villas in that area.

Beautiful setting and well taken care. They care for the property very well and their guest. Jose was always kind and helpful. The owner Cache even drove us into town because our taxi didn’t show up. Everyone was very helpful and kind
