A beautiful boutique hotel nestled on the hillside above Playa de Los Muertos, every room is different. The restaurant is delicious and the staff is very accommodating. The location is a 15 min walk to nightlife, Zona Romantica, Playa de Los Muertos, pier Playa Amapas and Playa de Conchas Chinas. We stayed in La Cuerva, the Cave, a once in a lifetime experience. This 3- level suite includes a huge private terrace w/hotub for entertaining, 2 baths, full gourmet kitchen, waterfalls, wet bar and stunning sunsets from the bed.

You will need to taxi back up the hill. Fortunately cab fare is very affordable.

Stunning hotel. Great amenities on site, staff were amazing, we loved the walk up and down the stairs to the Old Town. Couldnt soeak more Highly.

We had two drinks each at the pool bar and ended up not getting more as there were not great. Didn’t when finish them. All three versions (1 paloma, 2 mojitos, 1 margarita) tased the same and had no sweetness so were very tart. The mojitos had brown mint leaves - we fished them out. We also wanted to eat there and use the spa facilities but found it to be quite expensive especially when there are many options for both of these things very close that cost about 20-40% less.

I travelled with my teens alone. I wasn’t sure how my teens would like it but the staff went above and beyond to make them feel at home, welcome and to have fun. I can’t say enough about ALL of the staff - the kitchen and bar staff are extraordinary, the receptionist who we dealt with for all of needs, the spa staff, housekeeping staff- all top notch. I wasn’t sure how communicating through What’s App would work but trust me, it was awesome. A quick text through that platform and we had a taxi, water delivered to the room very quickly. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and sooooo much space. The pools are super cool and provide space and privacy to hang out with your own crew. Anybody looking for a place in PV that is close to the action, safe and five star experience - this is the place. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to be back.

Great spacious room with plenty of seating areas. Great balconies over looking the gardens and swimming pools. Free purified water. The suite was packed with amenities. Nice little gym. Great staff always available to help you and easy to reach with WhatsApp.

Outside areas needs a side table to rest your drinks on. When sat outside we had to either hold our drinks or put them on the ground. Lights are flickering in the suite. The 2nd bedroom as a window that overlooks the inner staircase so I had my curtain closed throughout my stay with no natural light.

Beautiful resorts that cascades down a mountain like a Disney resort. Absolutely gorgeous! It is quitely located half way up the mountains but walkable to the main attractions in the Zona Romantica. It is the best of both worlds - close to night life and quitely tucked away on the side of the mountain. However, the best quality of Marcela Resort is its attentive and extremely staff. You will not be disappointed.

This is a very beautiful resort surrounded by nature with loads of choice of pools and chill out areas. Our room was a small apartment and it was gorgeously decorated with good facilities. The bed was very comfortable and we had lots of space.

The cleanliness in the resort could be improved considering the star rating. The food and drink in the restaurant/pool bar was unnecessarily expensive.

We stayed for a week for our honeymoon and couldn't be happier with the experience. The staff were amazing, the room (penthouse, room 8B) was jaw-dropping, and the whole hotel feels unique and with a lovely atmosphere. The pool, gardens and whole site was a lovely place to be for our special break. We did a boat tour to Yelapa with Misael, who works at the hotel. He was great and would fully recommend this.

The views were amazing throughout the property. The room was spacious, the facilities were extra clean and well maintained. The grounds were breathtaking and worth exploring, and the pools were great for privacy and relaxation. The bar service was great as well!

This property is on the hill, so be prepared to climb stairs. The restaurant was good, not amazing, but that was the trend with a lot of Puerto Vallarta restaurants we visited. I don't think the town has a strong culinary scene, so I can't hold this against the resort!

Location, View, pool and Restaraunt were very nice. The Room and Suite we had we good. The staff was five-star in every way.

Unfortunately, we had a large group and double booked. The staff informed me on arrival that they could not do anything about it due to their cancellation policy. We booked a standard room, and our group booked a penthouse suite. We only stayed in the suite but were also charged for the room that was not used. Also, the last couple of nights, a bad sewage smell came from one of the restrooms.

Beautiful view. Very friendly and helpful staff, quiet place great to relax and enjoy.

The food is good just very small portions. Everything was great but would’ve been better if one of the rooms had two double beds instead of one king size because the sofa bed it’s very small and not quite comfortable. Other than that it’s a beautiful place.
