Beautiful villa, excellent location for exploring La Cruz, friendly and extremely helpful staff. We stayed in the wonderful palapa room, with a very comfortable bed and beautiful tile floors. Lovely views of the property from the room, and if you continue up the circular stairs to the rooftop the view is even better. The pool is gorgeous. We met other travelers at the continental breakfast, but you can also sit by yourself. This was a wonderful place for us to get to know La Cruz. The manager was especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions patiently and providing important information (where to get the bus, what the taxi fare should be, restaurant suggestions, etc.) The property feels secure and is well cared for.

We weren't used to all the night sounds in a small Mexican town and we used the fan in the room as "white noise" which was itself pretty loud, but worked well. A quieter fan or a white noise machine might be a better option. While beautiful, the bathroom sinks need a little care. It would be nice if the continental breakfast menu had some day-to-day variety.

Casa Villa Magnolia is so beautiful. It was our oasis in LaCruz. The staff are kind, professional, and incredibly supportive. We love the unique rooms, the interesting spaces to hang around in, the quiet (relative to other spots in Mexico), the communal breakfast area, the freshly squeezed orange juice, and delicious fruit for breakfast. It feels safe and the outside gate is locked at night. It’s wonderful.

It was hard to resist the morning pastries, but after some time my joints thanked me for passing them up! It would be difficult to find something not to like.

it was a little oasis of green. the large pool and nice common areas were great. Our room was in a separate house which was perfect for traveling with a baby. we were able to set up his crib in a separate space and also when he was upset it didn’t feel like we were distributing others.

There was a dog barking all night two of the nights. They said it was from a neighbor but it was a dog right on their shared tennis court property (not sure how they are connected) that was right behind our room. 8:30 breakfast was much too late for us with a toddler.

The pool was amazing! Loved it. We had a super clean room with lots of space and a hammock on one balcony and sun loungers on the other. The staff were lovely. Unique property. Would love to come back.

Fruit was lovely for breakfast but would have preferred a bread offering more often (rather than sweet buns). We did have some bread for breakfast towards the end of our stay.

Everything was wonderful, beautifully cared for and the entire staff was excellent!! Unfortunately, we did not have hot water. At best, we had slightly lukewarm water for showers, which is somewhat uncomfortable.

Lack of hot water. Also would have loved to have 2 extra sitting chairs on our balcony to accommodate friends coming over to visit.

The property is very lovely, well kept and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool is huge and well maintained. A beautiful oasis!

It has a busy road on one side of the property where heavy truck traffic starts before dawn to service current construction.

Beautiful grounds with palms and other trees. Our room was cozy and clean. The bed was just right, not too hard or too soft with nice luxurious sheets. We had a lovely swim in the pool and soak in the hot tub. There are comfortable lounge chairs to relax, read and tan. This small resort is close to La Cruz’s downtown square, quiet and secure.

Staff and ground are amazing. We opted for free standing Casita (albatross). Great patio and plenty of peace and calm and 100ft to pool.

The facility and its grounds were terrific. We appreciated walking access to food, shops, and other public transportation.

One night a dog barked for many hours--disturbing sleep. Adding cold cereal, hard boiled eggs or a bit of cheese or meat to breakfast would have been much appreciated.

Property is very clean & well-maintained. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Authentic Mexican-style hacienda. Pool and grounds are beautiful. Opportunities to meet other guests while enjoying continental style breakfast.
