Thank you to Jesus in Sakura for super friendly and very welcoming service. Same with Oman at Sens pool bar who has good memory of my fave drink. I booked this hotel cause it’s the cheapest “8/10” reviews in booking.com during spring break. Every else is fully book or expensive. I don’t wanna stay in hotels with less than 8 score. Plus the place didn’t look overwhelmingly big. So it didn’t feel like it’s crowded. The Sens is next to Oasis Palm. They have their own amenities but you have access to both. They are both part of Oasis chain. Wifi signal is great. I don’t know why it has a poor review. Maybe others didn’t know how to set it up since you needed to download and log in their app first (using your roaming data) before you could generate your wifi password. Which the concierge should have help it get done first before sending us to our rooms, but we managed. The app is superb. It has everything that you needed to know, dress code, shows, restaurants (amazingly numerous). I honestly don’t understand why the reviews didn’t agree much with the food. They are all good. Sakura maybe not much but they have shows. The reviews also said that they don’t have much pool/beach chairs, which did not bother me cause I came here to swim, eat and enjoy the whole place not just to sit around sun bathing. But if you really want one and hate waking up early to reserve a spot then best time to look for one is at around 3pm onwards. People are mostly lining up for lunch so there’s usually available beach chairs. There’s also a review complaining about black out curtain, they actually have it, maybe they just didn’t know how to use it IDK. It’s a 5star hotel but the review says it doesn’t feel like it since it has a lot of stuff that needs replacing. I think they’re referring to the minor hardwares like the elevator, the button metal plate looks cheap since it was not durable. it has holes like missing pieces because somebody decided to poke their fingers around the...

I only got upset once when there was a day we wanted to go to the mall to shop and do some haircut for hubby, we asked the bell boy to help us with a taxi, he said it’ll cost us 1500 pesos ($94) then wink to the guard. I felt wronged already just hearing the amount cause I know that taxis should only be $30 when booked ahead of time in booking.com. So I went to Oasis (other hotel) and asked their bell boy for pricing and he showed me the printed list of prices which is only $40. I couldn’t forget that big bell boy guy who was overcharging me last Apr 9, 3:30pm. A scammer! Ruined my mood.

In the beginning I was a little overwhelmed and not in a good way. I am used to larger resorts. This resort is smaller and spread out along the ocean front. It took me a day or so to figure where everything was. I had a few small issues at the beginning but the staff were absolutely amazing and when I say that I mean “amazing”. Not just a smile and polite. They went out of their way for several days to make sure I was okay. Being a solo traveler this was important to me.

When you arrive they do give you a map but I wish they would just spend a little extra time explaining what’s what and where.

Zona Hotelera is amazing. The resort itself is huge. The White box has great food. Activities by the sea (kayak, contests, soccer) are fun. KINKY ON BOARD was amazing (great event, try it). Shows at night were fun. Coffee&Me has great coffee. The gift shop is not that expensive (bought all my souvenirs from there cause I was in a last min rush).

If you dont have kids dont go. Even though they have "adult only" parts (lounges, clubs, restaurants), they were empty and pretty boring since everyone was sticking to their kids. I guess the "adult only part" tricked me. ------ The reservation system for food is really annoying too. You cant reserve from your room. I wanted to try Makitaco, I had to reserve by 4. I rushed down and I arrived by 4:10. There were still 5 ppl in front but when I got there they told me sorry find somewhere else because they are not taking more people. I was annoooooyyyyyyyyeeeedddd. Let us not talk about long lines for buffets that did not require prior reservations. ---------- Last minute show cancellation was annoying as well since I was already bored all day (solo traveller).

We had a great experience from the beginning to the end. When we first arrived we were rushing since we arrived late from our flight and we had a reservation for an event we had to get to quickly so they pushed us to private check in which sped everything up. Customer service was great! Everyone was so sweet and informative. The room was very clean and i loved the marble and our view. The beach was so pretty; we loved the hammocks over the water. On my last day i got so sick right before i had to leave for the airport; i was offered drinks and was given a bag in case i threw up in the shuttle. Everyone was so kind! I do recommend going to Le petite chef restaurant in the Oasis hotel (make reservations); it was a beautiful experience and the food was amazing. Also, make reservations for the spa; we felt so relaxed after!

The only part we didn't like about the room was that there's a window by the shower right next to the bed; so you can see who's using the toilet or showering. Now, the buffet that's in this hotel i wouldn't say is the worst, but wasn't the best either since there weren't many options. We didn't really like the options offered in the buffet. If you need to exchange US dollars into pesos i wouldn't do it here as it was $15.61 per US dollar. There are banks that will give you a little more; i think it was "banco azteca" that was able to change our US dollars for $16.71 per US dollar.

The hotel and facility really exceeded my expectations. I would like to highlight the amazing and friendly staff that works so hard to make everyone's holiday unforgettable. The hotel has more than 6 restaurants which were included in the price. The cleanliness of the whole location is brilliant. Everything is well thought out. Thank you!
