The on-site restaurants were all very good with plenty of room.

The on-site things like paddle boards, ocean kayaks and catamarans were provided by the company that ran the scuba diving and there was a fee involved if you wanted to use something. If you wanted to go outside the hotel and visit any of the nearby locations be prepared to pay $$$ for a taxi. The $5 dollar cab rides are a thing of the past.

Buffet, beach, bars, beds, jungle around the buildings, animals around the buildings, the food was really good (buffet not the reservations), the beach and the pool were great. The rooms were small but big enough. We loved the excursions offered through one of the agencies through the hotel.

Staff was mostly nice but there were some rude members of the staff too. It took an extra hour for them to prepare our room initially and then we had to wait an additional 1.5 hour to get our bags from the bell boy. The reservation food was not as good as the buffet, especially the Mexican food reservation. We also lost power to our room and the buildings at least 4 times.

Great location for scuba diving, the hotel is really nice with small huts, very nice pool area, and the food is great. Definitely coming back.

Nothing really, all good

It was beautiful and had sprawling grounds with ponds, animals, bridges, themed restaurants, and other points of interest. The staff was wonderful and the drinks were available in the lobby, by the pool, and at the many restaurants. I loved the coffee!

Getting into the water from the beach was rocky and difficult, however, there was a nice dock, where you could get in the water, or catch a boat for an excursion.

We stayed in 3 different resorts on our Feb 22’ trip and Iberostar Cozumel was our favorite! Loved the whole atmosphere. Rain forest walkways. Best food. Wonderful staff and entertainment. Very relaxing vibe. Lovely rooms with private balcony. Lots of space everywhere. The water/ice stations were so appealing after drinking out of plastic bottles everywhere else! I will highly recommend this resort to everyone!

The only downfall is a washed out beach front where you can’t just walk out and take a nice ocean swim because of the exposed coral. But you can walk out on the pier and get in with a nice stairway.

Liked pretty much all the facilities at the hotel. The food was quite good and there were so many options! I like that they had daily events, from live music to fun activities with other guests ( volleyball, quizes, sports classes on the beach, bracelet workshops etc ). If you are an animal lover, you're going to love all the animals roaming around the property. Would definitely come back!

The first room we had was very nice however there was an issue with some noise coming from the AC so we moved to another room. That room was definitely not a 5 star hotel standards. The celling in the bathroom looked horrible, the walls were dirty with probably smashed mosquitos, the door looked like it had a few pieces missing...we didn't say anything about it since we had a day an a half left and there was no point to move again. But if I had gotten that room from the beginning it would have definitely ruined my holiday.

The place was clean and had everything you needed. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The buffets had lots of choices of tasty food of various cuisines.

The alcohol was included but tasted like it was watered down. Also, checkout process was odd - they wait to confirm all pool towels were returned and there is no grace period. We were delayed a half hour getting to reception due to scuba diving and they wanted to charge a late checkout fee.

Staff was amazing, and the food was great. Facilities were very nice, and everything felt very well planned. Beach was clean, and right near schools of fish. Beautiful location.

how far away this was from the main downtown Cozumel, but that has less to do with the hotel, and more to do with how long the island is (and pricey cabs can get). That said, if we were closer to downtown, we wouldn't have the lush greenery and wildlife - balance I guess.

Food variety and availability was excellent! Service was top notch, all staff were very helpful and friendly. An emphasis on sustainability throughout the property was much appreciated. Liked the layout of villas within the property. The mosquito repellent provided was very good (although not 100% effective for some people). Good variety of cocktails and spirits. Great location for scuba divers as it is close to Palancar & Cedral.

There were no warnings written or spoken about the sea urchins on the beach, so bring beach shoes to walk in or use the dock to get in the water (Yes, I understand they can't do anything about them, but a warning would've been appreciated to avoid injuries). It is a little far from downtown if you are planning to go often. Rooms are OK but furniture is a little dated. Also, I am sure animals at the property are well taken care of, but having a guacamaya / macaw whose wings have been cut so it doesn't fly off didn't fit with the environmental and sustainable focus in my opinion.
