Great location, excellent price, staff are super friendly, room was pretty basic but comfortable for us. Really easy to walk everywhere from the hotel, close to 5th ave, lots of restaurants and bars. Free breakfast is a nice touch as well with lots of good free options.

The pool area could really use a face lift, we had the pool to ourselves for most of our stay which was great, but it could use some sprucing up as the pictures online look nicer. The restaurant could use another server in the mornings as we waited several minutes and ended up leaving without being served which was disappointing.

The room is spacious and well decorated whilst the bed is comfortable and huge! I really liked the style of the entire hotel, and it is in a great position, very close to the main street (5th ave) where there are loads of restaurants and shops around. The main beach is less than 10 mins walks away, and there is a 7eleven next to the hotel. Even though the hotel is crossed the street from the famous Coco Bongo, during the night was quiet. The girl we checked in with was super friendly and nice, she gave us recommendations on local beaches to visit and where to rent a bike. The check-in was easy and fast, and I have already got my deposit back. The pool on the rooftop is nice and perfect if you are waiting for your room but you want to relax.

Unfortunately the breakfast is ridicolous. We have been said it was a intercontinental breakfast, the options were: small slices of bread with a choice of strawberry jam and butter; fresh pieces of fruits (mango, pineapple, grapes, and another I cannot remember), cereals. To drink: coffee, orange or green juices. There is also the opportunity to have eggs but at an extra price. The pool itself was nice, but the area around was a little bit neglected, the big round beds in the hotel's pictures were missing and there were only the cushions, and the nice area with chairs was little bit dirty. There is also a construction site next door, which operated from 9am to 5pm and it can be annoying if you want to relax in your room during this time.

What a fantastic hotel. The room was beautiful. The breakfast and pool area was delicious and stunning and the staff were absolutely incredible , so kind and helpful . We even popped back in on our way home after staying at another hotel in Tulum. I recommend staying here and I can't wait to come back. The hotel is also central to all amenities and right next to coco bongo which came in handy.

Noise from the street is a little loud but they provide you with ear plugs, once these are in you can't hear anything and have a great sleep.

Amazing rooftop ! Rooms are very cute and cozy with everything you need + balcony. Location is perfect, only two minutes away from the main street, and the hotel is quiet you don’t hear the music.

Poor breakfast, you have to pay for every supplements, there’s just fruits and some toasts :( For the standard of the hotel we were very disappointed. Also room cleaning could be better.

The hotel is perfect for the price. The air condition is perfect and the wi-fi connection too. If you want to stay in the center of playa del carmen is perfect. But you need to know that you are next to a big disco so there’s going to have noise from people and police during the night. The hotel has everything you need like beach towels, tea, a good breakfast and a rooftop pool. It was very good

On the application I have a message that the check-out is at 12 and on the last day I try to pick up my bags on the room at 11 and I couldn’t get in because they lock at 11. They said the check-out was at 11 but on app it says at 12. But the man was very kind and oppened the ddor

The room was very pleasant and well decorated. Fresh and clean with view to the street and during our stay relatively quiet.

The breakfast was a joke as typical in Mexico. You are told you get something, and then when you want something. You are told that you have to pay more because it is not included in the something.

Very kind staff, nice location, room was pretty, clean, felt safe. I only went to the rooftop once but it looked really cute.

The room was smaller than anticipated. My partner had to work from the room and this was a little less ideal since the only space to sit in the room was the bed. Wifi wasn’t perfect. Otherwise the room was great.

I was in Mexico for two weeks and stayed in 4 hotels. This was easily the best hotel (upgraded lighting features and ambiance), and worst policies. However, great fabulous staff. And, AWESOME location!!!! I was only at the Kayak for one night, but because of the awesome location, if I could do the trip over, I would definitely stay there longer.

I was not impressed with breakfast, even though I read great reviews about the breakfasts. We came to Kayak from another hotel and arrived 30 minutes early. They wanted me to pay $10 to get into the room early - even though the hotel was at 50% occupancy. This was the only hotel who made such a request and I arrived at three of my four hotels a little early on this trip. But, it reminded me of the constant nickel and diming that often is an annoying part of travel - hated that.

The pool on the rooftop is wonderful, which is also the place where you enjoy the rich breakfast in the morning. The staff was very friendly and some of them were good in english. The beds are super comfortable, the size of the room is okay. The balcony we had (was the lower price category) was not big enough to sit on, but still it was a little balcony, so you could open the window completely. The location is great, you are right in the middle of the center.

As somehow very often seen in Mexico the bathroom does not have a real door, so there is actually no privacy on the toilet. The cleaning of the room did not work well, the floor was always pretty dirty (as if they cleaned everything but did not clean the floor, we kept the shoes on). Even after telling them it dod not get better. There was free water in the Lobby but it was always empty. It was all not too bad but for the price you pay we have seen better.

Really stylish hotel and good value for money for the area. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooftop bar was a lovely chill, calm place to hang out until 10pm. The free breakfast was incredible (chilaquiles with eggs, fruit, lots of different options) and the cocktails were great. Bed was insanely comfortable. There’s 24 hour parking at a paid place 30 seconds round the corner. We were only there a night to stop over but could happily have stayed longer.

It’s right in the middle of PDC so unfortunately a little noisy if you’re a light sleeper but they do provide earplugs for you which was appreciated. Shower was a little dribbly. It’s not on the beach but we didn’t mind that.
