Staff was superb; from the front office to the housekeeping to the restaurant waiters - everybody was very very friendly and helpful. Rooms comfortable and spacious and tastefully decorated. Pool area was fantastic: big pool and comfy chairs to sit. Restaurant nice; the buffet lunch is a good deal, our kids loved the food. Puerta Chichen is a 15 min walk to Chichen Itza, which meant we got there by 8:15 am and left the ruins when the tons of people were starting to get in (and before it really started to get hot - we had a lovely cool swim in the pool after the trip!). We highly recommend this hotel and by any means it’s a great idea to sleep near Chichen Itza in order to there early.

Get a room on the pool/garden side for 10 USD more. We declined the offer but regretted it during the night, the traffic is pretty heavy even after dark.

The place and gardens were beautiful, clean, and the energy was amazing. The staff was the greatest surprise. They were friendly, professional and very accommodating to our needs. From upper management, to the nice man cleaning the pool daily, they surpassed our expectations. The vegan food at the restaurant was the best Mexican vegan food ever at any restaurant, including California where we live. The local juices were so delicious and nutritious. The staff went out of their way to share their maya culture and to give ups information on what to do in the area. Overall we felt in love with the hotel, the area, but most importantly, the entire staff.

We were Cancun but our Airbnb was terrible and dated, we decided to stay closer to Chichén Itzá and this hotel was the blissful stay we needed. Great WiFi, beautiful facilities, and the staff is amazingly sweet, kind and accommodating. They are the reason we decided to stay even longer, we traveled all over the Yucatán and this is the only place we want to come back too. wonderful place to heal and rest.

We really liked the room, according to the staff it was recently redecorated 7 months ago. The food was really good and has a 8 dollar buffet untill 1700. The staff was really helpful and happy to provide extra information and background on their Maya culture and help you with a guide for chitzen Itza. The location is ideal for Chitzen Itza and is within walking distance (~20 min). The pool looked great, which we didn't expect from the provided pictures/info.

The photos on the website. I didn't expect this hotel! It was gorgeous! The only minor downside was the WiFi which was not really working, albeit only 4-6 rooms were occupied. A safe in the room would have been very nice.

Hotel is super nice! A big pool, very comfortable rooms and beds. Good shower. Food on estaurant is fantastic! Receptionist Eduardo is very friendly and attentive! A perfect place to relax after some days travelling!

I definitely do not recommend the massage service. massagist professional was rude with my friends and the massage room was not clean!

This was a surprisingly great hotel, located within walking distance of Chichen Itza! The food and service in the restaurant was INCREDIBLE!! The grounds were fun to explore, though we didn't have time to enjoy the pool.

Our room was very close to the restaurant and pool. So, the noisy tourists definitely were not fun. BUT I don't fault the hotel in any way for this. They really have an exceptional staff & can't control the volume of people.

Our plans changed and we were able to change the date of our booking last minute. The staff welcomed us, the room was clean spacious. The beds were very comfortable and everything you need was in the room. The breakfast was very good and again the staff was really nice. The hotel is a 4 minute drive from Chichen Itza. The hotel even helped us with a guide speaking our language. When we came back (we already checked out) we had some lunch and the manager also invited us to have a swim in the pool in the lovely garden.

Couldn't think of anything we didn't like.

Close enough to Chichén Itzá for an early morning walk to beat the queues; a short walk into Piste for the bus to Merida; very friendly and welcoming staff, who don’t speak English but understood my limited Spanish and engaged us in a conversation (of sorts!).

It’s a sprawling business-type hotel on the busy main road, catering to coach parties and tours, rather than individual travellers, but it suited our purposes for two nights.

What a wonderful experience from the day we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms, Edwardo at the front counter was awesome with his suggestions of places to experience on our vacation. Luis the manager made a special effort to greet us and always wanted to make sure we were well taken care of. Alejandro, Brenda and Delfina took exceptional care of us in the restaurant. If you're looking for a fantastic experience this is the place!!! We will definitely return in the future!

Stayed here for two days. Super friendly and helpful staff at reception and in the restaurant. My son learned the Mayan metric system from them. How cute! Pool was great to cool down after a hot day.

We forgot to stop at Vallalolid, which I would highly recommend since the town of Chichen is quite basic.
