This Riad is absolutely perfect. It looks exactly like on the pictures! When arriving, they served tea and cookies. And eventhough the kitchen had already closed, they made us warm Tajines! The last evening, we enjoyed the sunset on the rooftop while eating in the restaurant there. The roomes are huge and the interior is unbelievable. The pool area, where you also have breakfast is stunning and we joked in the Bahia Palace that we think the Riad is actually more beautiful than the palace. We also used the transfer to the airport which was absolutely worth it as well. It is a little more expensive but you don’t have to search for a taxi and discuss about the price, and the staff from the hotel can guide you to the hotel as well! Breakfast changed a little every day and was very delicious! Against the people writing in the comments that it is dangerous there, we haven’t experienced something strange and felt safe, also when it was dark already. The staff also asked if everything was safe and okay. All in all, the Riad was really fascinating and we would love to come back one day! We will keep Abdo and Brahim in our best Morrocan memories!! Such nice staff, we would have never expected so warm-hearted people!

it’s stunningly beautiful and well maintained. the terrace has wonderful views and you can watch the sunset there. the swimming pool is really big and it feels amazing to have breakfast there or to just chill in the area. the breakfast is very good and fresh made The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. A special note for Mouad, who has a natural gift for hospitality and is effortlessly welcoming and attentive, is there to help with anything you need. the area is also nice as it is close to the beautiful Ibn Youssef school and it’s arches. the hammam experience was so amazing, I really recommend trying. I also think the price was reasonable compared to the other nice hammams, the only thing is the ‘royal hammam’ didn’t last 1h15 but only 50 minutes. anyway, I came out super relaxed and happy.

The Riad was absolutely stunning and our room was beautiful too with loads of space and all facilities you could ask for. What made the experience excellent was the staff in particular Muhammad and Brahim who were with us for most of our stay. They went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Everything from food and drink to transfers, local information. You name it they had it sorted. The food was beautiful, access to Medina, the pool and rooftop made it the perfect place to stay. We will 100% stay here again when back in Marrakech.

We liked everything, the only issue with the Medina area is that the cars cannot access so our transfers and taxis met us at the top of the road 300m away or so. This was no issue for us it's a safe area and seemed that way all throughout the day and night. The staff also offered to walk us to and from any transfers so it was grand. This might be abit of a issue for someone with mobility issues.

The staff at the Riad were one of the best staff I have come across during my holidays. The level of service received by the staff (Hicham and Mouad) at the Riad was so unique and special compared to other level of service I have received from other hotel staff. It was exceptional. They are the friendliest and the most helpful staff I have ever met. They accommodated us for a very early breakfast (6.30am) as we had to leave very early for our planned trips to Essaouira and Sahara desert. They even walked us to the pick up point for the trips and dropped us off on their bike as we were running late. What a fun experience! Thank you for going above and beyond to make sure we arrive at the pick up point on time, we even had few minutes to spare :) I also reached out to Mouad to ask for local restaurant suggestions, bargaining tips and how to say some words and sentences in Arabic. I learnt so much from him and was able to bargain in Arabic! He even suggested some other cities to visit in Morocco. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough days in Morocco to explore other cities and other places in Marrakech. However, I have fallen in love with Morocco and the amazing people of Morocco and I am planning to go back sometime in Feb - April 2023 so I can see rest of the Morocco and buy more stuff from the markets! I will highly recommend staying at Riad Janate and also trying the hammam at the SPA. I will be back to visit Hicham and Mouad and ask for more local tips and learn more words and sentences in Arabic. Hopefully I will be fluent in Arabic by the time I return home! Thank you so much for making my first holiday to Morocco super special and see you both next year :)

That I didn't stay at the Riad for a longer time :'( But I will definitely be back next year :)

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They were the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going, accompanying us to the taxi whenever it was late at night . Also were they able to recommend a bunch of places to go and offer excursions, all very well organized, taxi service and spa treatments, which were amazing! The breakfast was also delicious and you even have a rooftop and pool which offer a relaxing atmosphere. It is also perfectly located within walking-distance of a variety of sights. I highly recommend this Riad for anyone visiting and will definitely be back!

There was really nothing to complain about, exceptional hotel and it for sure exceeded my expectations.

Abdo, Barahim and Mohamed were the kindest throughout our stay, always available to help and advise us. The riad is the definition of peaceful, with an amazing rooftop (with a jacuzzi!) and right in the heart of the medina. Many services are available. We can only recommend!

We booked an excursion through the hotel to the Ourika Valley, where we got food poisoning. Although this is not the hotel’s fault, we’d like to flag this for future guests to be aware of. But as always, Abdo was immensely kind and made us rice and tea to help us feel better.

Excellent Riad great ambience, very helpful staff, particularly Asmaa, Abdo, and the evening staff Mouad and Hicham, who were particularly good and able to resolve most issues. During our stay the fuse kept on tripping in the room which was fixed by this person in the evening who wentout of his way and even though he was unable to speak english understood the issue clearly and sorted it out promptly. I think his name was Qamal apologies. The Riad was very clean and nice and the facilities were excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the quality of the breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit, local breads and veg served daily.

The riad is located within the ramparts of the old city and as such no taxi can come upto the riad. Walking around particularly at night didn't feel particularly safe. Tuk TUK can come to the riad but the prices charges are outlandish for short rides and service tends to be inconsistent. The riad staff are able to organise the tuktuk but the prices are 5-6 times the normal. The mark up on the waterbottle was 5 times the price ?! which we found a bit unacceptable. Unsure about the water quality in the tap. On two of the days we had some local boys jumping on to our private terrace and being involved in some sort of a running race which was a bit of a shocker .

We had an excellent stay at Riad Al Janate, truly 5-star! The Riad is a comfortable, quiet, and luxurious sanctuary within the busy streets of Marrakesh. We were picked up streetside by a Riad staff who walked us over to the Riad, checked us in very easily, and served us with beverages and fresh Moroccan tea. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The courtyard and the rooftop have seats and sofas to lounge, eat, or work at, and the staff was always nearby and pleasant to answer questions or to support. The Riad has a delicious breakfast every morning with both coffee and tea service. The staff truly go above and beyond, and each one of them is so kind and welcoming - special recognition for the manager Mr. Abdo. I also used a few different services in the Hammam and Spa. It was clean and sanitary, and the services were relaxing and high-quality products were used. 10 minute walk to all the good stores and Medina. Overall, I loved my stay at Riad Al Janate. I haven't met a more wonderful team in one place before. I would absolutely stay here again and again when visiting Marrakesh.

Great location-10/15 minute walk to main market square of Jemaa el fna through the alleys lined with small shops. Beautiful traditional riad - felt luxurious Staff amazing and couldn't do enough for you - thank you Mohammed and Abdou. Lovely traditional Moroccan breakfast by the pool Roof terrace with views over the rooftops of the medina a bonus. Air con in our room was great with the outside temperature of 35 degrees plus.

We were aware that cars are unable to go down the alley where the riad was situated but I think our taxi driver left us a bit too far away. We struggled to find it but a local offered to show us the way. He of course wanted payment for this but we hadn't changed any currency yet!

Beautiful riad, highly recommend. Lovely spacious room with high ceilings and large king size bed, perfectly clean. Nice bathroom with lovely shower (although does take a few of minutes for water to heat up). Breakfast was great; juice, tea, coffee, breads, pastries and cakes. My partner is gluten intolerant and they made him omelettes and salads especially. The staff were so lovely and went above and beyond. I was unwell one day and had camomile tea and fresh bread brought to the room free of charge. The pool was nice, towels and robes provided. Great rooftop with seating too.

The riad isn’t completely accessible by car, it’s a ~5 min walk for taxi pick-up/drop-off. Wasn’t a problem for us. On arrival Mr Mohamed met us at the taxi, took our cases and led us to the riad. Also be aware that the riad is close to a mosque and we did get woken by early morning calls to prayer, but this is probably the case for most riads in the Medina.
