The rooftop area is very relaxing and you can enjoy the sunset there. The room is spacious and clean. The receptionist Said is very friendly and helpful. I am a solo traveler with a huge suitcase. Unaware of the fact that there is no lift in a raid when I booked the room, I at first was worried about how I could bring my luggage up to the second floor. Said was very gentlemanly and carried my suitcase up to my room. Said also helped me with booking the train ticket to my next destination as I was unable to go to the ONCF website. After checking in, he showed me and the other travellers the ways to the points of interest nearby with a map of Rabat. The location of the riad is just a 5-min walk from the tramway and around 15-min walk from the Rabat ville train station.

The bathroom is dimly lit and there is only one rubbish bin in such a spacious room.

The room is cozy and comfortable. Also, the breakfast is really complete, with a lot of fresh fruit and local pastries. On top of it, Madwa (the owner) made sure all was good during our stay and made recommendations of places to visit and have dinner (which we followed and they were worth it)

Only downside that you may stumble upon is that there is no sound isolation from the rooms. But this is little to no problem, because there is always a quiet environment. Also, it is like this in every riad, it is just the architecture of the houses.

Beautiful accommodation within a 2 minute walk from the tram station. It is situated on a quiet street, directly off a bustling main street, with a good choice of restaurants/cafes and lots of vendors for snacks, drinks etc. 2 minute walk from the central market with some great cafes, overlooking the square, right next to the tram station. Breakfast was fantastic and all freshly prepared, including the bread. Rooms are cleaned daily and I really appreciated having some laundry done (additional charge). I also loved how eco-friendly Riad Soufa is as they refill glass bottles of shower gel & shampoo every day. *The tram is 6 dirhams per single journey. It is super handy for reaching Salé across the river (a perfect half day trip) and other key tourist attractions such as Tour Hassan, other medina gates etc. National contemporary arts museum was excellent and photography buffs will appreciate the national photography museum. You can reach both via taxi and probably tram too. The riad is a 10 minute brisk walk to the Kasbah, with lots of quaint white-washed houses; look out point to the sea, and the stunning Andalusian gardens. I went to the jewellery museum too and a pretty kaftan exhibition was included in the ticket. I have loved my stay in Rabat.

I did have some trouble finding this on arrival, but after that, it was very easy to navigate. If you have a Moroccan sim card (I didn't) then I'm sure it would be much easier to locate.

The Riad is very beautifully decorated and the room we had (actually two rooms linked on the patio) were very comfortable and spacious when travelling with kids. Guests also have access to a lovely terrace with great views and sunshine during the day and gorgeous sunsets. There was an electric heater in each room which was perfect in end December. The breakfast was amazing, with loads of different fresh breads, fruits, orange juice and home made jams. Our host was very helpful and available, and offered us a lovely welcome on the 1st day with tea and marocain sweets. The location is great as well, on one of the main alleys in the medina with great street food, and close to kasbah and other sites (easy to reach by nearby tram). Would love to come and stay there again.

If you want to sleep in, it might not be easy from this room as one hears the people at breakfast starting 8.30am. Not a problem for us as we are early risers.

Beautiful riad. Location is great for the medina and still within easy walking distance of the rest of downtown (we walked to and from the train station to the hotel). It's in a narrow lane that's easy to miss, but directions are simple and it's right off the main market street. (That street also stayed busy until at least 10pm, so pretty safe.) We stayed in the Zellige room. Room was larger than expected, had lovely decoration, in good condition, and bed was comfortable. (Note: the shower and toilet are in the same room, separated from the rest of it by a curtain, in case that's something some guests wouldn't like, but we didn't mind.) Breakfast was good and ample. Staff was friendly.

No complaints.

Everything! This accomodation deserves a better ranking. It‘s not a 3-star but at least 4-star Riad. You have everything you could wish for in this Riad. We were welcomed nicely, with a tee and were shown and explained the nearest places and best spots to visit. The host is speaking very well English, besides French. This riad has only space for 6 rooms (bigger and smaller), which makes it so special and cosy. Our room was very clean, being on the roof top is like you are out of town. The Medina is busy and full of people, but when you are in this Riad it was peacefull and quiet. Plenty of food for breakfast. The location is great, right in the middle of the old Medina. You can walk easily to the old Casbah, to the Ocean, the Marina, take the tram… We travelled by car, but no problem, there are at least 3 parking spots right outside Medina and near to the accomodation. It’s just a question of the price for the parking. Looking back we were very sad, we didn’t stay longer because on our 14days trip - the Riad Dar Soufa was the best accomodation!! Thank you a lot and all the best !!

We stayed at Riad Dar Soufa because some friends we met at Merzouga were staying at this place, and it’s slightly more expensive than what we usually pay. However, we now understood what a riad is like at a slightly higher price point. It offers everything you would expect from all other riads. However, the facilities are just much better maintained and decorated in comparison. Both the room and the common area are much more spacious. You see quality on every corner of the riad. The host (Fadwa) was very genuine, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She made us feel very comfortable all-around. Overall, we would recommend this place to everyone. The only minor thing is that it does not have an AC (it does have a fan), which shouldn’t be a problem since the weather in Rabat is very nice normally. However, we did visit Morocco in a historically hot summer, so you should probably check the weather beforehand.

Fantastic Stay! We had a wonderful experience during our stay! The room was spotless and very comfortable, which made it easy to relax. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, especially Fadou, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. She gave us excellent tips that made our trip even better. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Riad Dar Soufa was wonderful. Located inside the medina, close to a gate (didn't need to walk too far from where taxi dropped us off), and on a quiet street, it was easy to find and within walking distance to all the major sights (medina, Kasbah, river, new city, tram service). Our hostess Fadwa was a lovely woman (who spoke wonderful English) and incredibly helpful. She helped me book a driver to Casablanca, locate a tailor and the best cookies in the city, and recommend an amazing private hammam. Our bed was the most comfortable of the trip (just like home!), and both the bedroom and the bathroom very spacious (and decorated so beautifully). Room was quiet and we slept well. Water pressure and temperature were great. Breakfast generous and delicious. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was fantastic. The room was just as expected. The location was walking distance to everything including the train station. The staff was incredible! The guy who checked us in gave us tea and cookies and explained where all the interesting places were on the map and told us how to get there from the Riad. It felt like he was welcoming us into his house. He even recommended a restaurant.

There is a rooster next door that started crowing at 3am for another 3 hours. Go with earplugs
