If you are looking for a true Moroccan experience in the heart of the medina, this is your place. Don't be alarmed when you arrive, as this Riad is in a small back alley surrounded by flowers and plants. The first thing you will notice, next to the welcoming staff, will be the dining area, the center of the riad. This open terrace goes through the entire building and has an opening at the top, flooding the Riad with light and cool breeze. The rooms are small and only separated by a small door from the terrace. This might lead to waking it up in the morning because birds fly through the terrace. The room is dominated by a large bed. The remaining furniture is functional and has the typical wear and tear. Don't expect any modern amenities. Hence I would recommend only a few nights or making it your base if you want to explore. If you want to relax a bit you may want to go to the open roof and enjoy outside dining. The breakfast is nice and fair in terms of pricing. It's freshly prepared for you in the morning. Wifi is readily available but spotty on the roof.

This Riad is not for you if you are looking for a typical Western European-style hotel with modern amenities. The rooms are small and dominated by a large bed. The furniture is old and functional and if you are concerned about privacy, the doors to your room and bathroom are tiny. Additionally, if you are bigger or having issues with climbing stairs, this might also not be for you, since the staircases are narrow and steep.

I spent +10 Days in Morocco. This Riad is the only one that I really like. The location was excellent, just in the middle of the Madina. Staff was really nice, friendly. We were served everything that we need. The breakfast is like you don’t need to go out to have a Moroccan breakfast, everything was great about it. Also thanks and loves to the Lady, who prepared the breakfast. I was really sorry, that we did a mistake and booked this Riad only one day, and moved to another Riad for two days. If I visit Rabat again, definitely here will be my Riad to stay.

There were a small hole beneath the A/C. And I saw some ants. I used my parfume and sprayed it, the problem was solved. However, this problem should be solved.

Firstly, the location was great - just off the main street. Moreover, we were given very detailed directions from the Owner, so it was easy to find this riad. Although we arrived pretty late (10pm), there were no issues with check-in. The whole stay was pleasant, the room was clean, but the biggest highlight was the breakfast: it was massive and the lady who served it always greeted us with a smile. We had absolutely no issues with leaving the luggage after check-out. We felt very welcome, as the atmosphere was relaxed.

There were no major things we didn't like, but just two possible improvements we noticed: We were not given the key to the main door, so we had to ring the door each time. There were no problems with it, but just felt like we were disturbing sb (may be personal feeling only ;) ). It would be easier to pay with card if the extra commission wasn't charged, so just make sure you have enough cash available.

The property was really lovely a great little roof terrace and lovely breakfast rooms, the bedroom was one the main floor which meant it was a bit noisy in the morning. Bed was comfy. The shining star was the staff!!! Adil was so kind to me helped me with finding a sim and loading data onto it. I felt he went above and beyond for me! I also was able to arrange a private taxi form the airport to the accommodation for the same cost as a standard taxi which made me feel much safer!

A bit noisy in the morning from the birds (but not avoidable!)

Although I come from same warm freindly people culture, I am amazed to see the true warm hearts of people especially the employee Adil ' the Tea Master' who loves Bollywood and Shahrukh Khan LOL ;) I am amazed how truely the people are so kind & Compassionate to others while all we see in Western media is bad image of people country & culture. Morrokko Is also Super Safe. Even for Solo Travellers. Morrocco is like my home and I will definately go there and meet my Bollywood Fan friend Adil "the Tea Master" in Dar Yanis

What really I didnt find was: COLD Culture COLD hearted White People I me Myself culture Rest Everything was perfekt

Pleasant stay. Great location near many shops & eateries. The alleyway it’s on was quiet & charming. Breakfast was good. All staff were kind but Adil & Sophia were exceptionally sweet with our baby. Street parking is a bit far from the Raid but cheap. Room was clean however when we checked in there were ants in the bed & on the walls. The ant situation got even worse when we pulled out our snacks. We brought our concern to the attention of staff and they immediately cleaned the room & offered keep our snacks in the kitchen which helped. Overall, good value for the price.

The hosts were lovely despite not speaking much English. Location was awesome, in a quiet residential alley just off of one of the main parts of the souk/old medina, within walking distance of most of the main attractions (as well as the Rabat Ville train station). Room and riad overall was beautiful.

Wish the shower had a curtain (there's a curtain rod and even hooks but no curtain). Also would've been nice if they provided a proper blanket rather than just a sheet. Everything else was great.

This hotel is most definetly the best I've ever visited. Local, wonderful building, clean and most of all- a wonderful staff! Also, I forgot my phone it in the taxi when I arrived to Rabat. There and then I thought that it would be impossible for me to get my phone back with my Credit card and travel documents. The staff took good care of my calming me down and they solved the issue with me and they managed to get my phone back. I'll be forever grateful to Hotel Dar Yanis. I want to visit that lovely hotel again in the future!

Loved the location in the median but quiet and very nicely decorated and looked after. Easy to walk to all the key places of interest and lots of useful recommendations. The balcony was exceptional with lots of seating and planting. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Rabat is a beautiful city with much to enjoy.

Although there are plenty of local places for refreshments, it would have been good to have access to a kettle or coffee machine to enjoy a drink on the balcony, although staff were helpful in providing hot water etc. on request.
