Het Kabinet’s location was perfect. Although outside the city centre, it is situated in the middle of literally, everything. A couple tram stops are near the bnb, grocery/drugstores, cafes, coffeeshops, great restaurants, on to top that, the market. Furthermore, the amenities of the bnb were perfect. Complimentary drinks in the mini fridge on behalf of Carlos and Jan and coffee/tea are available. The bnb, although small was heavenly and comfortable. This was the only bnb where I referred to “home” everytime we wanted to go back. We literally would say “lets go back home”. It really is a piece of home in a very unfamiliar place. The bathroom, I cannot stress this enough… was freaking amazing. The pressure of the shower/shower handle, the cleanliness of everything in it, the provisions of toiletries.. everythign was amazing. To top all of this, one that struck me and my boyfriend the most was Carlos welcoming us himself warmly. Walking us through everything about the bnb, about the are and even helping us figure out the transportation. Furthermore, Carlos would ask us every morning if theres anything else we need in the bnb ~ new towels, coffee, tea, more toiletries. This BNB is the epitome of “dont walk, run”. I am already planning my next trip back to Amsterdam. I would book this place again IN A HEARTBEAT. Thank you Carlos and Jan for topping off our Amsterdam experience. See you guys, again. ❤️

Great Location, good price and the most comfortable bed ever! Jan was super nice, he left some candies, water and beer for us at the room and he was super available for anything we would need. the location is great too, a lot of things to do around the neighborhood! I super recommend staying at Het Kabinet!

It is not a big room, so keep that in mind if you have a lot of luggage. Wi-fi was slow sometimes, but nothing that bothered us because we wanted to styay offline and enjoy the city during our stay in Amsterdam

Location was wonderful, there was a notebook full of recommendations and menus for restaurants in the area. both jan and Carlos were friendly and welcoming, and we're willing to be contacted at any hour if there were any problems. There's only one room and we had all the privacy we could have wanted. we would definitely stay there again.

Amsterdam's full of road construction, so there was some a block away which really didn't interfere with us except crossing one Street.

Het Kabinet and the wonderful hospitality of the hosts Carlos and Jan were the highlights of our delightful first visit to Amsterdam. Centrally located and thoughtfully equipped, the room is a perfect spot for couples to explore all that Amsterdam has to offer. Carlos met us on the day of our arrival, we were able to check in well before time since our room was already available and ready. A detailed information folder with brochures and walking trails was available for us to plan our 5 nights stay. Carlos even helped us with a drop off at airport at a small price which was immensely helpful considering we had an early flight and trams can sometimes get delayed.

Absolutely Nothing, Het Kabinet shouldn't be confused with a hotel, it is like living with friends or family where you have a room all for yourself, with all the comforts. It has eatries sprinkled all around and a market that offers an array of delicacies. Laundromat facilities a quick walk away. Everything you may want around you to live like a local is a few minutes away!!

Great location with lots of restaurants nearby. A little outside the busy tourist parts like the red light district, which meant less crowds and noise. Which we appreciated. But on the Tram line which made getting into the city center very easy. The host was fantastic and welcoming and the room very well put together.

Very little we didn’t like, except maybe the room was a little small - but that is to be expected in Amsterdam.

Stylish, well designed space with a large comfortable bed and excellent walk in shower. A good fridge with a range of complimentary drinks. There was a coffee machine and kettle for hot drinks. The wi-fi was fast and excellent. The TV had English channels with a helpful guide provided by the owner. There was a plentiful supply of clean towels etc. The location is perfect being a short, number 4, tram ride from Central Station. There are plenty of local restaurants to choose from and a large regular market just 5 minutes walk away. It is very peaceful at night as located on a quiet side road. The owner was to hand if needed and was very friendly and helpful each time we saw him.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike.

It is a very clean room with a very comfortable bed ,what we liked most, a private entrance to your room .. from the street.. with a wall to wall picture window, owner Carlos gave us a very warm welcome with information about local transportation, and we felt like we got home, We definitely highly recommend and will stay again to enjoy the HET KABINET experience ... I like to stay in the places which are more personalized compared to the hotels. This one provided a short but nice and cozy feeling of returning home after the work. The hosts are very helpful, and it was a relief to feel their support in some daily details. The location is very good. As I come for the work, it is important for me to sleep well, and I had this possibility - it was quiet and - what is also very important for me - dark, because the curtains are thick and cover the light from the window.

Everything was excellent. I should not complain about the lack of the table:), because it was not promised.

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The host was attentive, friendly and helpful. Everything you might need was provided including complementary drinks. The area is within walking distance of everything including a short walk to the Van Gough and Rijks Museum and also has good cafes, bars and restaurants.

Carlos was amazing greeting us and explaining the facilities and surrounding area. The information booklet was extremely in depth and had a personal feel to it. The small touches such as free water, beer and wine in the fridge and a Nespresso machine were above and beyond

The wifi was a little slow but nothing to really worry
