Quiet area, close to the tram stop and metro, friendly staff, very soft bed, little bathroom but enough for all necessities, great water pressure, a little vending machine in the reception for some snacks

The room we stayed in, the door was at reception, so it felt a little less private, the room itself was a little smaller than the pictures and the mattress was a little wobbly when turning at night, you could easily fall from the bed. There was some loud banging during the evening/night time from one of the rooms upstairs that we were right underneath at, not the fault of the hotel, but left us a little annoyed

It was the cheapest Hotel that is no further than around 2,5km away from the city center, and it was totally worth the price! The shared Toilet and the shared shower were totally clean, in a good shape and never occupied, and the hotel itself felt comfortable. The staff is really friendly, and although we did not want any room service, we appreciated that it existed.

The mattresses of the beds in our room bended a bit to the edges, but you can sleep fine on them!

The staff is super attentive and kind. It is close to several bus and tram stops, so it's easy to move around the city from there. There is coffee machine and a vending machine with snacks and drinks which is very useful at night when all is close.

It doesn't have elevator and the stairs are very narrow. So they makes difficult to carry up the suitcases.

Extremely friendly and helpful receptionist (the Rasta). Rooms and facilities are small, so best for thin people. We stayed 2nd floor and shared bath/toilet (which were cleaned several times a day) with 6 parties, no problems. Rooms had water cooker and tea, hair dryer, TV, safe... Price worth

For the price, a very nice experience. Friendly and helpful staff and a clean room. Location is not central, but there is easy access to tram and bus, and they offer bike rentals as well. The location is a quieter neighborhood, so you can expect a good night's rest. Will stay again next time I am in Amsterdam.

I was a bit nervous before arriving to the hotel due to seeing a number of negative reviews on here and Google. However, for the price paid, the location is absolutely fantastic and while the room was small and basic, it was exactly what we paid for. If you are just looking for a basic place to sleep & leave your things while exploring the city, you could do a lot worse than Flipper. I can only assume the people leaving negative reviews were expecting to pay £30 a night for a 5* hotel experience..

For such a small room everything you need is in there and there’s a vending machine downstairs too which is handy

Property unfortunately has thin walls and noisey extractor fan. Our window was difficult to open also however this didn’t put us off the property

The room was at a very good standard. The television was modern with a good amount of channels available.

The thin walls of the room meant that you could hear some fellow hotel guests walking up and down the communal stairs a bit too loudly.

Receptionist was ever so helpful and kind, he lent me a telephone charger. The rrom was very clean, perfect (small) size for one person, bed very comfy and EVER so quiet (unless you sleep next to the toilet and kitchen, where you will hear the occassional conversation, but the hotel asks all their guests to be quiet after 12)
