The location of the hotel was perfect and the staff where very lovely. The cocktails and the restaurant are a must to do when staying at the hotel.

The rooms were a little too cold and the beds not to very comfortable. And one morning I was unable to have a warm shower but on the other days it showers worked fine.

We had pre purchased breakfast and it was so much food. The hotel serves Thai food in the evening and it was excellent. Overall a cool hotel.

Our room was very hot, I think at least a fan could have helped,I dont think it would have been tolerable in summer. You can open the window but it's quite noisy then. No bin in the bathroom (We had the private bathroom) The breakfast was really good, however it was different every morning even though we ordered the same thing, sometimes the yoghurt were missing or it was supposed to come with grilled chicken but we never got that. Not a big deal and we didn't complain about it as the breakfast is huge and we wouldn't been able to finish it anyway.

Quirky rooms and love the concept. Room was adequate but very small. Glad of the fan and that the weather was coolish otherwise it would have been to hot and stuffy in the small bookcase room.

The bathroom right in the middle of the restaurant and was a bit embarrassing going to brush your teeth amongst diners, eating at the restaurant. Room was very small with no where to put things except keep your bag packed and under the bed. We ate once at the Kevin Bacon restaurant. The satay chicken skewers werent up to much at all. We had to prop the door open to let air in during the evening.

We stayed in the VW camper which is in the upstairs library, surrounded by leather Chesterfield sofas and armchairs as well as numerous bookcases, most of which lead to hidden rooms. We loved the quirkiness of Hotel Not Hotel and how nearly all the guest accommodation is completely hidden away. It's a very different kind of stay, with most of the rooms so small there is only room for a bed in them, and all the space being communal. This led to us meeting a really lovely couple from Oslo. The food was very good, including the breakfast and the Thai food in the evenings, and all the staff were super friendly and helpful.

It's not easy when you're used to an ensuite to adjust to having to 'travel' to another level to use the shared bathroom facilities, especially when like us you are older and are going to need to do that travelling in the middle of the night! We'd love to visit again, if the prices don't skyrocket (they look like they are going up massively next year), but would book one of the rooms with a bathroom more suitable for oldies!

everything. thankyou for the most amazing stay. we were made comfortable from the start, all staff were welcoming and friendly. facilities were fantastic and the whole stay was excellent for the price we paid. special thankyou to the staff who was so friendly with us every day, paying interest to what we were doing during our stay etc. unfortunately we didn’t catch her name but she was young with blonde hair (special mention because she really made our stay that extra bit special!) we will deffo stay again when returning!! thankyou again! it’s been a pleasure!

Very cool hotel and super different to anything we have stayed in before. There is an on-site bar and restaurant and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a tram stop right near by that goes directly into the Central area of Amsterdam.

The room we stayed in was very small. It had enough room for just the bed (wall to wall) and just enough room to two bags and the door to open. It’s worth noting, the bathrooms are separate as well. None of these things ruined our stay though and we would go back if we were in Amsterdam again :)

- overall clean and comfortable - the look is abit cool - loved the restaurant attached to the hotel ‘Kevin Bacon’ delish cocktails and food for a reasonable price - 95% staff super friendly and helpful with all questions

- the communal bathroom door is located directly opposite the inside of the bar which is abit weird - double bed was two single pushed together and it felt like it - showers didn’t have a fan/didn’t work well so got super steamy and hot - would have loved some shelves in the room

Just what we needed to start off our trip in Amsterdam. Best thing about this place is the Thai resturant!! Although it's not right in the centre it really doesn't matter because you can walk/tram/cycle to dam square area no problem! We were in the invisible room - which was great. It is quite straightforward: just a bed, bench, and bedside tables in terms of furnishings. The shared bathroom was fine - never had to wait.

Nothing bad really. The only thing that I would mention is to be aware that you need to pay a tax upon arrival - when we went it was €3 per day.

The concept is absolutely stunning and one-of-a-kind. I love to try all of them!!!!

I don't know the only breakfast I got was a traditional / typical one in Netherlands or not; however, I did get a boiled egg (as a topping) and a bread, OMG (I was shocked by that visual). Actually, I had thought it should be a slice of bread and scramble egg on top with visually fancy things (coriander, spring onion, you name it...). I changed to cheese and it tasted better at least (I guess). All in all, I was still disappointed!

The beds are super comfortable!! And the rooms are really well soundproofed. Our bedroom was next to the bar area and we weren't disturbed at all. The breakfast is great, and so are the cocktails from the bar in the evening. The staff were lovely and really attentive, a real credit to Hotel Not Hotel. The museum quarter and parks are all within walking distance.

The cleaning standard could be improved as well as the ventilation in the bathroom. Our towels were not dry even 24hrs after using them. Storage in the rooms could also be improved, extra shelves and hanging pegs would have made our stay more comfortable.
