I leave a review for every hotel I stay at. Firstly I have to say the service from Rashid who was front of house was 5 star!! His helpfulness, service and attention to detail was excellent. I couldn't be more happier. One of the reasons i would stay at this hotel again is just because of his excellent customer service skills. Location is perfect, Ive been to Amsterdam over 30 times and this location for me is the best location for links to everywhere. Hotel is clean and great for a couple of nights stay.

Stayed in a few rooms in this hotel and every room is different size. Every room wont have a decent view and some have a half decent view. This hotel is perfect for a single person or a couple who just require sleep in a clean bed and a very modern clean bathroom for a couple nights and intend to spend most of the time out exploring Amsterdam. Rooms higher up in the building shower pressure will be slightly lower than the lower rooms. Its not a big issue for myself to be fair. Others issue that wasn't a problem for me but I could see it being a problem for fussy people is that you will hear people closing doors and talk when walking past your room.

Given the mixed reviews for Hotel Pagi, I was a bit worried, but I'm happy to report that all went well. I think it all depends on which room you get, and the Family Room we stayed in is great. The 5-bed room and its en suite bathroom are renovated, and the pictures on Booking.com or the hotel website are accurate. The room has lovely views of the Rokin, unlike other rooms of the hotel which based on other reviews apparently face other buildings. This being Amsterdam, you should expect small rooms and bathrooms and steep stairs with no elevator. Set your expectations accordingly and prepare, and you'll have a great time. We prepared by ditching our usual roller bags for backpacks, and it has been great. We were a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and we stayed just one night, and the room fit the bill perfectly. If you are 5 adults and/or staying for many nights you might feel squeezed, but that seems to be true of many rooms in Amsterdam. The front desk staff were very friendly, checking in and out was not a problem at all, and we left our bags on our check-out day for a whole day of exploring.

The room is a bit small but that seems true of almost all rooms in central Amsterdam. And Amsterdam hotel prices are just outrageous in general

Amazing location! The hotel is located in the center, only a few walking minutes from the Dam square, near a metro station, great restaurants around and more. The staff was very nice and friendly, and helped with any questions we had. We came for a few days and it was perfect for us.

As it is located in the center on a main street it was kinda noisy, we could hear all the noise from the street at night, cars, tram, tourists.. The shower doors didn't close well. There are steep stairs but it didn't bother us. The room and shower are small, but we enjoyed it anyway, it was definitely enough space for us as a couple.

Location was amazing! Room was ok, not amazing but just what you expect for a 2* hotel Had towels and toilet paper so all was good. Staff at reception were lovely.

Noise at night from outside. We still managed to sleep ok. Room was rather small but ok for a 2 night stay. Hot in the room, fan didn’t work well, so had to have the windows open all night- PLEASE bring mosquito repellent. Came home with 16 severe bites. Really need nets on the windows in summer. Stairs were a good workout for the legs!!!

Liked the location, so close to everything! Was clean and comfortable. Staff lovely and helpful

The water pressure was abit hit and miss, sometimes great but other times was like a dribble and couldn’t shower. The room was quite small for 3 people but was only there a couple nights. Also would’ve liked somewhere for our luggage as we just had to leave it on the floor. The stairs to get into reception are also a steep climb so anyone that struggles with steps I wouldn’t recommend

A small hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Great location within walking distance from all major sightseeing attractions, hundreds of restaurant and bars and the infamous red-light district and really around the corner from the major shopping street.

Our room was probably the smallest room in the hotel and as high up and far away from the entrance as possible. And there are many steep staircases in many of Amsterdam's older hotels.... You have to be in good shape to ge there. ;)

The staff at the reception are lovely and very friendly, As being in honestly the heart of the city, it is absolutely great for getting around. The tram and walkability is great being all so close. The room was sufficient, the place was very clean and the bedroom (although not massive) has clean linen and the room itself is clean. The Wifi is good and could get it around the place. For the price of the room and the quality, it is great value for money. There are very steep steps coming into the place and getting up to the rooms. Not an issue, just for anyone that would have difficulty.

The place, being where it is located is very touristy, so there is the noise of the public and trams from outside. Was fine for me, but if you are a light sleeper, might have a different experience.

friendly staff, great location, clean room. Free coffees from an automatic machine at reception. You have the tram stop in from of the hotel and the whole city at walkable distance. Overall great value for money.

we got an under roof room, so very very small. narrow and steep stairs to get to the room, so with the luggage it was quite tricky. at checkout there was no one at 8:30 am, but we call them later to notify the staff and they had no problems in leaving our luggage inside the room till we got back in the early afternoon. All was packed so it was easy for them to move it.

Central location, just a short walk to the places we were visiting. Family room was ideal for me and my 4 children. Plenty of towels, clean room and beds were fairly comfortable. Air con was available. Didn’t spend much time here just went there to sleep. Gorgeous view out the window.

Didn’t realise there was a full steep flight of stairs to the reception then 2 more to the room. Not ideal with the size case I had but reception were very helpful and helped me up / down with it. No tv remote for background noise.
