I loved the country side feeling of the hotel, another experience from city centre, which I had also tried during the stay in Amsterdam. Got a bar called Moxy there, the manager and staff there were very helpful. Very chill atmosphere. Got a laundry room, free to use. The view there from the room or building was great, wonderful sea view. Besides, the breakfast was okay, but gotta wake up early.

Need to improve the cleanliness. Need to get on a bus from city centre, 15 - 20 mins. But as said, another type of enjoyment.

location, not far away from town, good access by bus or ferry, corner rooms is top my pick.. friendly staff

spa facilities is good, but got issues with changing rooms and lockers (can be improved) sauna not all times is on temperature, on day was cold little disappointed. breakfast can be better, not to many variants to choose of,

The property had facilities that I required to make my stay comfortable.

The air conditioning fan was loud and I kept experiencing the green light from the room phone keep turning on and off. This interrupted my sleep throughout the first evening.

I recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Amsterdam Houthavens for three days, and I must say, it was an absolutely exceptional experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The receptionist who greeted us was a young lady—mature, friendly, helpful, and professional. Her level of care and attention was so impressive that I initially thought she might be the owner’s daughter. Over the next couple of days, I encountered two other young ladies who exhibited the same warmth and professionalism. By the second day, it was clear to me that this level of outstanding customer service is a hallmark of this hotel. I cannot overstate how impressed I was. This was, without a doubt, the best customer service I have ever experienced in any hotel. The hotel itself was spotless, with pristine cleanliness throughout. The views from the hotel were absolutely stunning, adding an extra layer of relaxation and enjoyment to our stay. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Residence Inn by Marriott Amsterdam Houthavens to all my friends and family. Whether you’re visiting Amsterdam for business or leisure, this hotel offers a perfect combination of excellent service, comfort, and beautiful surroundings. I look forward to returning on my next trip!

Very clean and comfortable... lovely big room with great view of the harbour area. Very easy to find ...so get a number 48 bus from central station ( they go from the top-level) and get off at the final stop. It's then about a 5 minute walk along the edge of the water...( On your left) The hotel is on the right at the far end. If you happen to arrive after dark it is lit up in pink so you can't miss it! While it is a business district, it was quiet at night but felt safe walking from the bus stop. Buses are frequent so it's easy to get to and from the centre...bus to central and then walk or tram ....we opted for slightly further out and had a larger room at a better price and really it was no hassle. We found the breakfast to be excellent... almost got caught out on the Monday morning as they stop serving at 10( 10.30 at the weekend) ..but plenty .... lovely bread jams yogurts fruit etc etc..we had no complaints..suited us well...don't expect a full English breakfast..you're not in the UK! ..but there was scrambled eggs and beans ! Staff were pleasant and polite and I wasn't to particularly commend Daniella in the restaurant who never stopped and nothing was too much trouble.... they were short staffed on the Sunday morning and she did a brilliant job..and always with a smile!

Could have been more pots and pans in the kitchen area and not a full compliment of crockery...not an issue as only 2 of us but would have been a problem if there had been 4 people...might be worth checking to make sure....

We visited Amsterdam for one week in April and wanted to stay somewhere that was away from the hustle and bustle but with good transport links. The Residence Inn by Marriot exceeded expectations. The view out to the harbour was lovely and a destination in itself. We stayed in a Queen suite. I was travelling with my adult son so he had the bedroom and I had the sofa bed in the separate living area. Both of the beds were clean and comfortable. The suite was spacious and had every facility one would expect. A dining area, a well equipped kitchen area, clean bath/.shower, and a wonderful view. The breakfast was served in the 9th floor restaurant. There was a good choice of mainly continental style breakfast, with some hot choices. Although not spectacular, it was more than enough to start the day. Staff at the restaurant and reception were polite and friendly. There is a swimming pool and gym, both of which my son made good use of. Rather confusingly, check in and out was at the Moxy hotel which adjoins the Residence Inn. The bus stop into Amsterdam Centre was 3-5 minutes away and was regular. There is no need for a car. Although quite pricey, I would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Amsterdam.

Highly Recommended ❤️❤️❤️ Coming back to Amsterdam, this place is a really welcoming, cozy and friendly place to stay at. The location and views are stunning. It’s like 15 minutes from the train station. The staff are so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable…. They make your stay worth it. The rooms, it’s a minimalistic design, practical and modern while being super functional and warm. The rooms are clean, spacious and the layout is very good. The breakfast is not overwhelming where you have no idea what to eat, but it’s well thought off and more than enough to keep you going till lunch or after. Overall,,, I love this place and it will be our official Amsterdam home going forward. The best part is the view from my bed … 🤩

Access to Ubers are a bit of a challenge, but if you plan in advance it’s perfectly fine.

🔹 Modern and stylish room, spacious (approximately 28 m²). 🔹 Floor-to-ceiling windows with a stunning view of the canal. 🔹 Great breakfast: a buffet on the top floor with panoramic views of the city. 🔹 Fully equipped kitchen in the room. 🔹 Lounge and bar on the ground floor. 🔹 Spa area with a pool and sauna. The only thing we afraid of is distance from the city center. However, it turned out to be just a 10-15 minute bus ride, with the stop only a 3-5 minute walk away. We even enjoyed strolling through the local residential neighborhood!

It was clean from the entrance to the rooms. It also didn't matter to check in with the Moxy division or residence which are one hotel which is excellent. The rooms were big, clean and modern. The personnel was attentive and friendly. The breakfast was fresh and they had scrambled eggs and bacon. The room service was also good.

The mattress was pretty stiff/hard which could be changed at some time. The breakfast area was small on the Moxy part and could have more variety and should be put more together (bread and buns were on opposite of deli meat etc and the orange juice dispenser wasn't really helpful). It was annoying that all power was turned off since I leave some electronics in the room to charge which I could only do if I take a second room card and leave it in there. The same goes for the air system which is turned off, which means I come into a hot/not ventilated room after I leave. It would also good if the outlets on the bed area would have usb (a and c) outlets integrated.

The hotel is located in a very quiet and nice Dock area. The bus stop is 5 minutes from the hotel and the bus goes Every 15 minutes to central station. kitchen is fully equipped in everything You need. The view was great. In the reception water, tea and coffe all day long available for free. We used also the bike rental and the laundry and swimming pool.

Maybe more information about the hotel facilities as there are two hotels in one which can be sometimes tricky. The service on sunday as we arrived was a bit overwhelmed and not communicating clearly. We needed to wait 30 minutes for our room.
