FINCH Boutique Hotel, downtown

The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the busy town centre, meaning good nights' sleep. A lavish breakfast is served to each guest personally; the dining / bar area has a very relaxed, inviting atmosphere, with a broad selection of beers and wines. Staff were very obliging and friendly, and checking in and out, and payment, were all made easy. All in all, excellent.

Wow. I kind of don't want anyone to know about this place. Because I'll definitely want to come back. The hospitality and comfort is beyond a short review text, and beyond anything I've ever seen in NL. Staff is incredibly friendly (extra nice when you're a solo traveler). Delicious breakfast, central location, beautiful room design, late checkout.

Breakfast was very good. Location super. Closeby trainstation and a short walk to all the sight seeing of Deventer.

A very personal wish, I like to have a window open and/or good ventilation. The air conditioning worked perfect, but I turned it off because I don't like dry air. In this room on street level there was no window to open and I didn't find another possibility to increase the ventilation. Maybe as a result of that we wake up with a soar throat. But after a good coffee everything was okay. As said already; maybe a personal thing and maybe on the other rooms this is different.

This was my third stay at Finch, and, as always, I enjoyed my short stay (only one night). The room I got was on the top floor and very spacious. The room was equipped with a 2 person couch, one double bed and a small work area, besides a spacious and comfortable bathroom. The layout of the room is clever and decorated with great taste. There were plenty of rooms, one at the work area too. There were different kind of lights and the main lights were dimmable, so you could create an atmosphere fitting to the time of day. The bathroom had a shower and a sink, and -very much to my liking- daylight through a big window (obviously there were blinds for those who prefer that, but there were no direct neighbors anyway). For the third time I can say: highly recommended!

There's really not much I didn't like about my stay. If I had to nitpick, I'd recommend the hotel to try and increase the water pressure of the shower.

Great design exterior and interior. Very clever concept touches I.e. Wonderful room welcome with jazz on long play vinyl playing as I entered. Breakfast superb. Staff excellent, attentive and very welcoming. I arrived at 1am, tired and fed up ( thankyou EasyJet😡) but Myrte & Seuu (sp?) we’re up waiting for me, extremely kind and welcoming, displaying the level of professionalism and service attitude you’d expect from Claridges, never mind a (fantastic) boutique hotel so a big thanks to them. Keep up the good work Finch. I’ll be recommending this hotel to as many of my peers as possible. A wonderful surprise experience set apart from the usually generic and soulless hotels I normally stay in for business

Loved the cosy, well designed atmosphere of the hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is great. The bar, restaurant downstairs is also great, good value for money and great ambiance.

The room is very comfortable and has great air conditioning in the deluxe room. The breakfast and bar area is lovely. The breakfast is outstanding, brought to you are scrambled eggs and bacon, rolls, meat, cheeses, drinking yoghurt, juice, large tea, croissant, yogurt and chocolate sprinkles! And it is the first place I have ever been to where they ask if you have any allergies for breakfast. Location is great aa it is near the railway tation and where the restaurants are. Thoroughly recommended.

The record on the record player that starts playing when you came in had a couple of scratches. Kidding. This isn't a fault.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, staying open until we arrived after flight delays, and providing bottled water late in the evening when requested. The hotel was very funky and the antique/modern eclectic mix of furniture and other items was a feast for the eyes!

The mattress was far too soft. I had trouble getting to sleep both nights, and thought I was going to roll over and fall out of it! I appreciate mattresses are a personal taste, however my colleague reported similar problems in getting to sleep. This was a shame, as it was the only thing to let the hotel down, but an important one nevertheless.

Everything, practically perfect. Staff was all competent and friendly; Dominique stood out as above and beyond. Design was brilliant; cozy and charming, modern facilities with retro details, bed was very comfy, great shower, too! Phonograph in room with vinyl record playing upon our entering room was a nice touch. Lovely, delicious, complete breakfast that also accommodated our allergies. Terrific location near the Brink. Parking nearby. Fabulous lobby bar, too. Just go!

Absolutely nothing.

Location is perfect as is close to Downtown and also close to the Train Station. Staff was absolutely friendly and sweet. Breakfast was amazing and the room was quiet and calm as requested.

The room had airco which helps a lot in summer. However the bathroom hardly had any ventilation so was warm and didn't get fresh air/ or air filter. That would be my only recommendation
