staff is friendly. They change the room for us due to our request. (see below). The bed is comfortable and easy biking distance to the city! We had a good trip!

At the beginning the room we got, there are many bloody mosquito kept coming even we closed the window and killed some. Which we guess they come form the ventilation. And there are many blood and dead mosquito everywhere on the wall. So Highly suggest to clean that room 206 up. And we are happy the staff help us the change the room without too much trouble. And there is only one new set of towel in the room on the next day.

All fine. Good choice of food for breakfast. Restaurant was good - see below.

The restaurant was advertised as open on Saturday. I invited my daughter for diner (she is studying at the university). When she arrived, I was told it was closed at weekends. This contradicts the information displayed in the hotel, it is stated quite clearly in the lifts. At no time did staff mention that the restaurant would be closed at the weekend. Apart from this, my stay was very enjoyable.

From the moment we arrived until the very last minute we were treated with unprecedented pampering. Elisa was there from beginning to end and along with her manager, the hotel made our short stay for a friend's wedding at a heatwave season a wonderfully pleasant time! Not only the quality of the facilities (breakfast specially) was great, but also the kindness and understanding in accommodating our needs when we arrived before the check-in and needed a place to get changed for the wedding was such a nice treat. They also have a conveniently placed charging station for electric vehicles. We were offered discounts and simpler processes left and right, and without even asking. We have never seen such a welcoming service. We are certainly coming back!

The bed for two persons was old-style spring mattress, which means that for a couple that has quite a difference in weight, it was difficult to sleep whenever one of us moved (very bouncy). It is gret if you're sleeping alone though!

The staff were helpful! I had some documents that needed printing. And the guy behind the desk did an excellent job. The printing was done by the printer. The patience and suggestions were done by the guy behind the desk. I had to transfer locked documents from phone to i-pad to Mercure's printer.

The cold rain on Tuesday! It wasn't the hotel's fault, I can't think of anything I didn't like. It was a very pleasant trip. Covid also made a few things difficult. I got the munchies one evening and wanted to order something to eat. But the kitchen was closed because of Covid! But the staff helped me again with snacks from the vending machine!!

easy checking and checkout, good restaurant , strong WiFi in the room, furniture is modern and comfortable.

because of road construction nearby it is difficult to reach hotel by car, temperature is low in the room and can’t be adjusted even by embedded air conditioning system. may be too far from the city center for some people ( but OK for me)

The location of the Mercure Hotel Groningen Martiniplaza is very close to the city center and well connected to the autobahn. That being said, it was not noisy at all. The room and bathroom were a decent size. Everything was modern and clean. We really enjoyed our stay at this facility!

We didn't like the extra fee to use the parking space next to the hotel / gym. There was already limited parking due to the construction space!

A good hotel with very friendly staff. :) The location is a bit unfortunate at the moment, as there are roadworks just outside, which makes the hotel a bit tricky to reach, but once the works are over the location will be just fine. :)

The staff was very polite, the room was clean and the rain shower very nice.

Obviously the location is not the most downtown, however compared to other hotels this is reflected in the price. Parking fee is reasonable. I therefore don't understand that this hotel doesn't score better. We were happy with our stay and would return.

Nice, airy room - very comfortable bed

There are road works in the immediate vicinty of the hotel (June 2023) and the environment was therefore a bit noisy. Location feels better suited for people traveling by car than on foot, the walk from the station is not far but not very ‘interesting’…

I liked the flavoured shampoo in the room and the breakfast was exceptional as it had all sorts of juices, breads, yoghurts and toppings. Wish I could’ve stayed another day to try the rest of the breakfast.

Driving into the area of the hotel is quite dangerous. There is only one road for both sides and the entire vision is blocked so you can’t see what is incoming. It’s a gamble until an accident happens.
