there are so many wonderful things going for this place side from the property itself - attentive staff-breakfast delivered in baskets, SOFA restaurant next door, the size of rooms (everyone is different) and the orientation - towards greens and country views - a little out of town but still 10 mins from center - the grounds are beautiful at all hours- I had early morning midday and afternoon walks surrounded by birdsong around grassland, a marina, reservoirs and vine plantings - loads of wildlife like birds, hares, ducks, etc. I was there early spring and it was v dramatic…must be gorgeous in the summer

Stay relates to main suites in castle. If you want the wow factor this is it. Rooms are amazing, acres of room stylish, unusual features and a great sense of occasion when you arrive at the entrance hall. Staff are fantastic. They all really went the extra mile sorting out the restaurants, taxis and extending our cycle hire. They are the hotels greatest asset. Thank you. This was the last night on our 4 week European tour and really hit the brief for an exceptional stay in a lovely hotel. It could not have worked out better.

Kasteel hoogenweerth is a combination of class, tranquility and great service. It doesn't hurt that the location is only 5 min drive from the city centre and well connected by a bus. We booked the deluxe room which was extremely clean and exuded luxury and had its own private entrance. The kitchen had 4 hobs, espresso machine and was well equipped with cutlery.The staff was really friendly and available and acted on any feedback very quickly. Due to corona most of the restaurants were closed, so we were happy to eat at their pop-up restaurant. We had dinner here 2 nights in a row, one of them being the opening night. We requested vegetarian menu which they happily accommodated, even though it took them 2 tries to get the quantity right. Overall highly recommended and would definitely come back.

There were cobwebs in the room as its an old castle but they were promptly removed. The pop-up restaurant took two tries to get our food right

The grounds are stunning and being on the river is perfect. The breakfast was unbelievable. Loved it!!! The room is unique actually an apartment. The restaurant food is delicious however the service was slow

There was some sort of party on the grounds and it was very loud until very late. Must not be any sound proofing in the walls. Plus one of the windows would not close-former type. Should have been told about it prior…

The location of the castle was lovely and secluded along the river. Very quiet and serene. We felt very relaxed there. The room was extremely spacious. The water pressure in the shower was great. The nespresso machine was also nice to have! The reverse air con was a plus as we could put extra heating on as the temperature was around 0.

Dishwashing liquid would have been very nice so we could wash the dishes as our dirty dishes were not changed by housekeeping. There are no food options closeby- we didn't have a car and SOFA restaurant is currently closed. But once we worked out the bus route, then it was fine to go into Maastricht centre.

We absolutely loved our suite at the castle. It was so spacious and luxurious, the decor was fabulous , it was gave us a real Chateau experience. The mini-bar items were tasteful and complimentary, as we're the Espresso tea and coffee facilities. The grounds and whole setting are amazing.

Taxis in and out of town are expensive.

Beautiful property, rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The garden is lovely with private spots where one can enjoy a drink (which is included in the suite price). The location is good for exploring the area, both walking /biking in nature, and visiting the city.

Although nicely decorated and with attention to detail. The suite could use a bit of retouch. You could see here and there that it hasn't been cared for ..for a while. In our room, for example, the water tap in the kitchen was broken. The bathroom needed some fresh paint... The nice guy in the reception noticed it himself, apologized, and also informed us that this was going to be fixed.

The breakfast was sparkly and tasty in a very nice setup. The premises look good, the hotel is located next to a “marina”, and a restaurant that seemed attractive but which we sadly were not able to enjoy (we didn’t manage to book a table).

The staff were nice and professional, the outdoor area of the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was good.

According to the hotel they are pet friendly and an additional price will be charged at the hotel, due to that we booked this place, but after we paid the hotel informed us that only tiny dogs(up to 8kg) are welcome to the hotel, as we have a bigger dog it was a problem and the hotel was nice to make an exception and allowed the dog to stay but its better to include this information before people book the room.

Really beautiful location, nice kitchen, comfy beds and sofa, amazing shower.

The adjacent restaurant is fully booked over a month in advance, the swimming pool was not heated enough to actually swim in, the housekeeping forgot to take out the trash multiple times. The parking lot was extremely small to park in, with only one exit which was frequently blocked by florists, caterers, etc. There is another parking lot, you just have to walk a bit further.
