Being an historic building the hotel had a lot of atmosphere and grandeur. We had a room in the old main building, which were very spacious, with high ceilings and beautiful high windows, fully opening. Beautiful garden and surrounds. Excellent breakfast.

We liked the king size bed, but it only had two pillows. Too few for such a big bed, but moreover, the pillows were very thick and uncomfortable to sleep on. I know pillows are very much a personal preference, but the hotel could consider providing a set of pillows of different size. (and a few extra scatter cushions would also look great on the king size bed.

We chose the hotel because it’s convenient to visit Aachen from the Netherland, and continue to Belgium cities. It is idyllic in Spring time, with flowers blossom in the garden and birds chirping. Our luxury king room offered two great beds in different rooms with elegant furnishings. The spa tub in bathroom looks nice although we didn’t use it.

Breakfast a little expensive (€20 for each adult and €10 for child), but was of good quality. In other hotels we stayed the small child is waived of breakfast charge because how much they can consume? (only a piece of bread with jam spread)

Lovely place to stay at! Nice, large bathrooms, quiet location, good service, nice bathrooms, plenty of parking spots, and much more. Breakfast really good, I would highly recommend you to include that in your stay. The grounds were also really nice but unfortunately one part of it was closed and we were not able to walk around there. The hotel bar is pretty cool, and they have some very nice cocktails.

The mattresses were moving around in the bed, as they are not attached to anything - although the bed itself is pretty comfortable. The bathrooms could get a bit smelly quickly if you keep the door closed. This has nothing to do with the property but there are really no decent options for dinner around (walking distance at least).

The location of the hotel is very good with ample parking and even electric chargers available. In the heart of Vaals, so many restaurants and places to see in the vicinity. Staff was friendly and check-in was very quick. All the information I needed was provided upfront. The room was amazing. I stayed on the 2nd floor, overlooking the garden and fountains on the backside. Loved the view and the comfortable room. The interior of the room and bathroom was very good with all essentials provided. I did not try the breakfast or the restaurant. However the seating around in the restaurant was on a terrace overlooking the garden, so very pretty.

Nothing much. Due to corona times there were a few restrictions in place, but that cant be helped.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The hotel has a great atmosphere at a picturesque location. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The room was nicely decorated, clean and quiet during the whole day. Good variety of choices for breakfast. Recommending to reserve a table in the restaurant well in advance for dinner. Free parking available.

Breakfast expensive Restaurant was culinaire so would ga d been nice to have a choice of what simpler and cheaper choices. Cups in rooms were tiny so only suitable for coffee would be nice to have tea cups/beakers and more tea bags - was only 2. Asked at reception for a map of direct area of Vaals had to pay €2.50 which could have been free seeing though the costs incurred a small service.

How can I begin? First, I came to relax, chill and be away from my Amsterdamse stress. That's EXACTLY what I found! Exceptional leisure experience, extraordinary nice and professional personnel. I'll come back for sure and I, already, recommended the place to a large number of friends. Thank you!

Beautiful and big comfy room with great jacuzzi.

Loud Party going on with people smoking and drinking right underneath our room until well after 2 am. Got a bottle of cava and apologies from managenenr but it was annoying nonetheless. Especially as I don't drink so cava is no good to me and also had a bad night sleep.....

The rooms are very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is superb. Breakfast is also very good. All in all very recommendable.

There could be more charging poles on the parking. Unfortunately, we couldn't charge our HEV because all positions were occupied.

I liked the hotel in general very elegant ,pleasant staff.

We didn't like having toilet separate from bathroom with no wash basin thought it was unhygienic needed to touch alot of area before could wash hands. We also felt cold in room 306 reception did give us a little fire but wasn't really sufficient nobody checked if there was a problem with heating.
