Very clean. Comfortable.

Had to pay by cash because of ridiculous credit card surcharge - even on a debit card which was accepted elsewhere in New Zealand without this surcharge. Ground floor location with full height windows and no privacy unless curtains drawn. Basic level of equipment. Good location for centre of Blenheim but we found Blenheim to be dead. Very disappointing. This may not be the fault of Lugano Motor Lodge but we would not stay there again nor could we recommend it.

What we were looking for was a convenient and well equipped hotel for a one night stay to visit some wineries and to see the sights of Blenheim. The manager was pleasant and very helpful. The room was spacious, with a small kitchen and roomy bathroom. I loved the chimes from the bells in the town square across the road and even enjoyed it when some of the locals loudly but briefly celebrated a football win in the surrounding streets. A bit of local colour! Most of the cellar doors were closed (lack of planning on our part) but we enjoyed our drive around the beautiful roads surrounding Blenheim. We spent 12 nights in NZ and Lugano Motor Lodge won the best bed competition. The Blenheim gardens were superb, well worth seeing!

The refrigerator in our room was a bit noisy, turning on and off in the night, but that is a common problem. Apart from that minor issue, we enjoyed our stay.

Staff very welcoming and also accommodated a late check out. Excellent location - close to town centre and easy walking distance to cafes, supermarket and restaurants. Wonderful view of Seymour Square and gardens. Lugano is also very close to the stunning riverbank walkway. We will stay here again on our next visit to Blenheim.

Location was perfect. Rooms was warm clean and inviting. Netflix was a bonus. Property and room were very quiet with a nice outlook. Hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very spacious Beds super comfy

The shower had very weak pressure and took a long time to heat up... Would have loved some plunger coffee instead of coffee bags or a Nespresso machine would have been amazing.

This was a top notch place. Everything about it was homey and inviting. Extremely clean and comfortable. The people who ran the place were delightful and extremely knowledgeable. Very friendly and gave excellent advice .Across the street was a lovely bell tower and fountain that changed colors at night

Absolutely spotless, a quiet location, loved hearing the town clock chime during the day, a very short walk into town. Blenheim has got a lot going for it. We could have done with more than 2 nights, will stay longer next time & it will be at the very friendly Lugano.

A wonderful place to stay! Judy was so helpful and fun we wanted to take her with us as we continue our tour around NZ. Very nice room with door between bedroom and living area so I didn't wake others who sleep late. It's centrally and easy to walk to restaurants.

The Beautiful Hosts She was Absolutely beautiful, welcoming such a Wonderful Motor lodge I Highly recommend this Outstanding lodge to everyone nationwide The rooms were more then I was expecting 100% Clean It had that inviting feeling cozy and sound proof rooms 10/10 😀 Thank you all so much.

Great location near to restaurants, shops and wine bars. Good size room with all the facilities needed for a short-term stay. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking space if you come by car.

Couldn't find fault with the Lugano at all - it had everything I needed!

Warm welcome from wonderful couple who own and manage Lugano Motor Lodge. Spacious, attractive suite with well-stocked kitchenette, very nice bathroom snd cafe tables on outdoor walkway. Centrally located, across from town square, near restaurants and grocery stores.
