The property was clean and tidy and very roomy. It was surprisingly quiet especially as the rail line was one side and the river walk the other side. Loved the church bells I could hear in the distance. Nice and close to town and all ammenities.

The only thing we didn’t like was the early hour (9am) that the staff appeared at your door to do the cleaning. After a quick knock and a call out they would open the door. Much quicker than we could make it to the door. A bit embarrassing if you were sleeping in. After all we were having a much needed restful holiday. I know we could have put the Do not Disturb on the door but never expected the cleaners to arrive that early.

The room was huge and the view out over the little river and park was delightful - I sat and watched the dog walkers and the ducks for ages. The kitchenette had everything you need, and the bed was comfy - very soft. When it got a little chilly outside the aircon did the trick. Every person I met was lovely - and very happy to help out with queries and assistance. I used the guest laundry that is attached to the pub in front of the motel and the machine was fast and efficient. The motel is an easy and short walk to the I-Site and train station for the Coastal railway.

Lovely large room with ensuite spa bath and nice sunlit balcony looking over the river - Waterfront. Very pleasant and relaxing, For a good meal and pleasant company the local Pub at 50mtrs was handy and the food excellent. Free snacks for the locals which we were invited to partake of, just made the evening.

Only one minor comment as this an interesting place to find, no problem, after asking a local. The address is Grove road, the main road out of Blenheim is Grove road. The motel was not on the main road as the Waterfront Motel is on the original Grove Road and set back off the main drag. Just behind the Super Liquor store that sits on the main road.

Great location and nice view of the river from the room. Easy to walk to the shops and restaurants from here, and easy to find. Very spacious room and bathroom. Friendly service. Great place to stay and I would stay there again next time I'm in Blenheim.

Nothing really, although the connected bar seemed like a bit of a dive! Other reviews have made positive comments about it but it didn't seem like the kind of place most travelers would want to go. Still, we didn't hear much noise from there, even though it was Saturday night.

Huge room staff were fabulous . We had a slight issue on arrival it was dealt with immediately with apologies and a smile . We were back late from a great wine tasting trip and , when we asked reception where we could buy snacks instead of a meal having had eaten a huge lunch, they were able to arrange delivery of a deli board from the pub next door . Could not fault there excellent service

Bit a noise from the pub but that stopped very early so I as not a problem to us at all

Loved the staff, and the location was beautiful and walk friendly. The jetted tub was lovely too. I would return and give it another stay.

The bed had a definite lean to it. I can’t say it was uncomfortable overall - it just listed to the one side. We had food on the counter mostly sealed though the bread was just with the bread snap. By morning the counter/food storage drawer was a mass of ants. Which I found odd because it truly was a clean place overall.

The room was well appointed and spacious. We were even provided with a small bottle of milk for our tea & coffee. The staff were extremely helpful even loaning us their car for the morning so we could visit a local museum. The room had a very attractive view along a small river behind the property.

It was just a little tricky to spot the property from the road but the owner had sent detailed walking instructions which led us to the front door.

Location, location, location... and space! My god! Spacious room. View amazing balcony and facilities very good. Price right, but upgrade could accept reasonable higher price - easy. Just on location, space and balcony with awesome view alone. So happy would easily stay a couple or three nights just for a Blenheim/Marlborough experience again.

Only an upgrade from some cheap fixtures and rushed architecture. Downlights coming out of ceiling, marks on the walls, dust on furniture and drips on a chair I wiped off - things that lacked detail and could draw complaint. This for me was smudged out by the positives, however.

Large size room, spacious and good choice of different chairs to sit on. Liked the balcony overlooking river.

Bright blue lights from wifi? kept the room lit up at night, so had to cover the lights up. Staff knocking on door at 9.30am to see if we were ready to leave, so they could clean the room, even though checkout wasn’t until 10am.

First and foremost I liked the.respectful, friendly, and helpful manner of Lisa in Reception. She made me feel welcome when I made the booking, and throughout my stay. My unit had a spectacular view over the Taylor River, and on up to the mountains. It was very clean and had everything I needed. Right in the heart of the city, it was very peaceful, abd I slept well in the huge comfortable bed. Thank you.
