I was very surprised at the spaciousness and appointments in the room; its facilities were impeccably clean and the standard of the daily service of the room was pristine. The diligence of the cleaning staff towards providing a superior service was apparent throughout, along with the warm and friendly welcome we received at reception on arrival. Being retirees, we were initially hesitant to book a room with a higher rack rate but that notion quickly disappeared when we entered our room. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back.

It would've been nicer if car parking was numbered relative to your room number so that your car isn't parked too far away from your room. We had to virtually walk to the last car park closest to the street exit to onboard all our luggage, which was a little annoying. Admittedly the motel was quite full but some rooms cater for three/four persons and might have 2 or more vehicles parked for the 1 room. My recommendation is that during busy times, additional car-park requirements outside of that nominated for a room, should go into the overflow areas or out on the street. Everything else was perfectomondo!

Top Service , friendly staff, comfortable and very clean, great off street parking. Location is excellent, handy to everything, and noise free. A huge thank you for the Easter eggs that were on the table on arrival. The cost for our stay was very reasonable, I recommend this facility 100 %.

When you are having the best time ever in such a wonderful environment its fair to say the time goes way to quickly.

Checking in at reception was simple and easy and the staff were super friendly. I was absolutely blown away by the cleanliness and size of the room. The windows were open which allowed for fresh air to circulate through the room. This being my last night of 2weeks of work travel, it was lovely to be able to sit back and relax in a crisp, fresh and clean place. Could not fault this place. Thank you for ensuring your guests have a pleasant clean stay.

There was a well equipped but simple kitchenette plus daily housekeeping. The suite was immaculate. The living-room dining area spacious and comfortable . Parking in the courtyard fit different sized vehicles.

The room wasn’t soundproof. We found our bedding uncomfortable but that is personal. Each person is different.

Our room was huge with a small well equipped kitchen, large lounge, big bathroom with a spa bath and a bedroom with a large comfy bed. I wasn't expecting such a huge room so I was pleasantly surprised! The lovely woman at reception had great recommendations for places to go for dinner and was very helpful.

Everything was great but it is on a main road and there are a few eateries around but it's a bit of a walk to the main strip which didn't bother us at all but might be something that other travelers would want to consider.

Great hosts. Friendly and accommodating. Cleaning Staff are all friendly. Room was really big and well furnished with comfy couches. Easy to heat the room quickly and lovely comfortable beds with electric blankets (if needed). TVs in lounge and two bedrooms which was lovely. Free laundry too.

Loved the room, especially the spa bath. We travelled from Rotorua, returning to Tolaga Bay after a fun-filled weekend, and decided to stay the night in Gisborne, as the trip was long and we began our journey late that afternoon, The break in our trip was a great idea and gave us the rest that we needed. The spa bath was amazing, nice and relaxing, just what we needed. The bed was comfortable, and I loved the pillows. The staff were very lovely, thank you and we will definitely stay again.

Everything was great, but I didn't notice that the windows were open behind the closed curtains, during the night, the traffic noise from the main road was loud, but as soon as I closed them, the noise disappeared, and I enjoyed a good nights sleep., and it was cold when we entered the room, but warmed up with the air con. Nothing really to complain about tho.

The room felt and looked as though it had been refurbished recently Very clean and tidy everywhere. A full clean was done daily including sheets and towels changed daily. Separate cleaners cleaned the bathroom and kitchen areas which we felt was great hygiene. Kitchen (coffee pods) and bathroom (soap, shampoo, towels) were replenished daily No issues using the free wifi for video viewing / Teams / Zoom meetings. Mattress was comfortable and bed linen of a good standard. Large TV with sky included. Heater (reverse cycle) worked well and was quiet No noise from neighbouring rooms Spa bath

Parking spaces are a little on the narrow side and quite close to neighbouring cars; our car picked up a scratch on the door (we think) overnight from a large 4WD parked next to our car. Always ideal if it is possible to connect our own devices to the TV display (either with a cable or cast etc) but there was no obvious way to do this so we did not seek to.

Stayed during the week for my son’s school trip. Last minute booking for us and managed to grab this last room. From the moment I walked in, the room was well presented and very clean. Room was very large and spacious. Great location. Well equiped with essential amenities. Nice large bed and super comfy. Bed linen was nice and crisp. Coffee machine is definitely a plus from me. Having a microwave came in handy to heat up our late night left over dinner. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when we’re back in Gisborne.
