The Kea Cabin at Heaven's Rest was more than we expected. Set near the main house next to the vegie patch on its own little private spot. It was modern, clean and well appointed with everything we needed, plus it had the best linen on the bed(s) and stocked with amazing breakfast food including locally made toast spreads and fresh eggs. The main bed was dreamy comfortable and second pull out sofa bed a breeze to set up. It provided the best bathroom/shower products and the option to buy other personal hygiene and care products if necessary... such a great idea! The decking for our morning coffee and double hammock for chilling were added bonuses to this awesome little pad. The main house is gorgeous and welcoming. There is access to the Spa, which we'll take advantage of next time. The beauty and serene setting of Heaven's Rest was a treat. We loved it!

The only niggle was the short gravel road access to the property off the main road isn't lit at night.

Robert greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our exceptional suite. Everything was spotless. The room itself had a ginormous super comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge with a great shower. Next came the dressing room with lots of space. The bedroom space was excellent with lovely patio doors onto the veranda, which had plenty of space and places to sit along with a hot tub. On entry to the property you walked into a lounge dining space which was very large, there was a shared kitchen area with everything you could need as breakfast was included which was cereals, juices, breads with butter and preserves. There was also the option to have freshly laid eggs from their chickens. The outlook was idyllic with beautiful views across the fields beyond the house, and closer to home were Robert and Kurt’s very friendly and somewhat amusing goats.

Nothing, it was the perfect idyl to recover from our flight from the UK.

Comfy beds and generous breakfast. Everything was spotless and so quiet and peaceful even though it was close to the motorway felt like we were in the country. Host welcomed us and invited us to make ourselves at home. We were in the twin suite, 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms one had shower bath and vanity and then separate toilet and vanity unit. Ideal for us with 4 females. We had use of the shared lounge with comfy couches. Fridge even had a named shelf, milk and juices.

The gravel road when we turned onto it had a couple of potholes. Not a biggie unless you have a saloon car like us.

Heavens Rest is situated in Bombay (just off the motorway) just 13 minutes from our business trip location. beautifully appointed, private, spacious apartment with a private outdoor deck within the main house, communal kitchen for breakfast outstanding (huge, help yourself selection, including everything you like. The platter we purchased for friends is terrific. Excellent welcome and service from owner Robert, ease of entry day or night, and the beautiful peace and ambience. The best we've ever stayed at.

Heaven's Rest B&B was magical!! Short drive from the Auckland airport to a beautiful property. Different options on rooms you can stay at. We stayed in the two bedroom suites. It was roomy, SUPER comfortable beds and pillows, and bathroom was fantastic! It's connected to the main house but so peaceful and quiet. In the morning, breakfast was available and we got to chat with other guests. Highly recommend staying here at any of the rooms available as it was such a friendly and welcoming place.

My sister and I absolutely love staying in Kiwi Cabin. It's perfect for our needs. The fridge is full of breakfast essentials and being gluten free we were very well catered for. Everything from the cabin being perfect, the closeness to our venue we travel to, the beautiful eggs, milk, juice, jams etc etc ... Facilities are wonderful, beautiful showers, Yes Kiwi Cabin where we stay is two bedrooms and two bathrooms ... Perfection for two sisters and our little dogs. Oh and Pet friendly for well behaved pets. We have their little crates inside for sleeping and chilling out.. it's just a magnificent place. Robert is so helpful and cheerful. We mustn't be a bother because we don't even see him. He just leaves a perfectly presented cabin for us and allows us to enjoy our visit. I hope we get to stay there many more times. It's our absolute favourite by far. Thankyou Robert.

There's nothing at all I could honestly say I didn't love. There's nothing at all I would change.

A clean compact cottage with every thing we needed for a relaxing stay and a comfortable nights rest in a rural setting. A large range of items available for breakfast with the most oblivious been scrambled eggs with farm fresh eggs. A safe place to park the ute over night with a load of 'items' collected in Papakura. Robert could be contacted by both phone and text seemily at any time.

Been beaten to the spa pool by another large group.

Fabulous property, the location was ideal as it was close to the racetrack. Plus living rurally ourselves, we find it hard to relax in busier environments, so a rural B&B is amazing. We were in and out a fair bit and travelling with a young baby, so it was nice to have our own self contained space and not needing to worry about noise through a wall. The Kea cabin was perfect, we had everything we needed and more. The experience of staying in a tiny home was exciting. The breakfast provided was great, lots of yummy choices, having a full kitchen was so nice. Excellent water pressure in the shower and the Kea cabin was full of natural light.

The bed was just slightly on the firm side for my personal liking. The plunger coffee wasn’t the best, but I usually take my own and had forgotten it. Everything else was perfect.

We stayed in the Kereru cabin, 2brm 2bth, great with bedrooms at either end and not beside each other. Breakfast selection was amazing and so much of it, also lovely shower with great water pressure. Great location for us as had family function just up the road.

The pillows on our bed were too thick and firm for our liking and all four were the same so would have been nice if a couple had been not so thick and softer.

We have stayed at Heaven’s Rest before and always enjoy staying here. This was the first time we stayed in a cabin rather than in the main house. The location was good and it is always clean and comfortable. The breakfast options are great.

There wasn’t a lot of floor space. We do yoga every morning but there wasn’t enough room inside to do it. We would try to stay in the main house rather than in a cabin, for that reason.
