We had dinner at Else’s. Service was great

I was surprised that they asked for $100 bond that was going to be refunded to my account.? after the housekeeping had been done.

For a day stopover I fine the Tuakau hotel serves its purpose. that everything was a walking distance to meet what you need. Staff are friendly and service that I cannot fault. The locals were friendly . Food was excellently. It a blessing, a place not far from the city. I would not hesitate to come there again just to get out of the busy life of the city. to be able to relax and enjoy the quite and clean environment.

None it reminds me of my home island very quite fresh air friendly people and excellent food what else do I need to be able to go somewhere to relax. and not too far from the busy noisy city.

This 1825 hotel has been beautifully upgraded to comfortable rooms with lots of plug ins, cozy warm robes and slippers. I loved the funky lift and we enjoyed the little sitting area, complete with beautiful orchids, at the top of the lift. The dining room had a great pizza and hot fudge Sundaes. We came off a long flight from Canada and Tuakau was easy to find. We stayed two nights and enjoyed exploring the local beaches and countryside. We enjoyed it so much we are returning before we head home.

Use to live in Tuakau 85 till 93. Job well done on the old Pub. Tuakau certainly has changed. Lovely visit. Because of the time I stayed I never really saw many staff. Had a Lovely meal on last night and kitchen and staff handled a big birthday party plus all other dinners very very well. Thank you.

Have to remember to make booking directly to the Accommodation as I didn't realize that I would get charged one whole night by making booking on line. My Bad.

They gave me a free upgrade which was really nice after a 6 hour drive - the room had all the comforts including air con and sky

Very close to the train tracks that had freight trains coming through which I wasn't used to coming room a part of the country where there are no trains...but even that was a cool experience

Didn't expect an ensuite. Will equipped, better than a lot of motels - we ran a motel for 12 years. Had dinner in your restaurant - excellent food, compliments to the cheq. Food came all at once and hot.

some traffic noise at odd times.

I do not like false promises,. I always stay in different hotels and hotels with bonds. When I check out the next day I received the bonds. It's been a week now and hotel receptionist is a liar. I haven't received my bond.

A very modernized 'classic hotel' in quiet Tuakau but only a short drive to Pukekohe. Very comfortable, clean, with inhouse bar & restaurant or local main street F&B to chose from.

Nothing that I can think of.

The hotel was lovely and cosy. Great heating for a cold winter’s day. Close to shops and the main road but very quiet as well. The staff were helpful. Above average for a country town.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfy 😊

The carpet had some pretty bad stains, and it was a really cold night, but the remote for the heat pump had been removed.
