- Very spacious upstairs suite, our second stay in Unit 17. - Separate dining room with space for four. - Kitchen area with hobs, microwave and utensils. - Very comfortable, huge king-sized bed. - Very large wall mounted TV was great for streaming rugby. - Excellent balcony space with comfortable tall chairs for taking in the stunning view of the lake from this unit. - Fantastic value option if you are happy to use the communal thermal spa facilities. - Friendly staff.

- The hotel shows its age in some places but this wasn't an issue for us. - The 1km walk to the centre of town could deter some guests.

We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist and shown to our room, which had everything we needed including a pool outside our back door! Other guests can access the pool via a side gate but we had it to ourselves. Thermally heated and very nice. We also had a small seating area on the deck at the front of the motel. The beds were comfortable and the motel is in a nice quiet location a little way from town but only a 3 or 4 minute walk from the lake side.

Nothing bad to say, we had a lovely peaceful night at this motel.

Loved every bit of it. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room/apartment we stayed in (8) was amazing, 2 rooms (each with a massive tv), big bathroom with the best shower pressure! Full kitchen, huge living area and a balcony overseeing the lake. It couldn’t have been any better. Just about a 3 min walk down to the lake and a short 5 min car ride to the town centre. We were there for the iron man and the whole experience was even better as the hotel had their own thermal pools. It was the best for recovery between the lake water and the thermal pools. If returning to lake Taupo I’d go there 100%. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic location, awesome host have us spectacular recommendations for places to eat and drink that weren't touristy, clean and comfortable room, very comfortable bed and pillows, renovated bathroom and kitchenette, great blackout curtains, Beautiful view from the porch, extra large deep mineral pool on the back patio

Old carpet and wall coverings in the bedroom area, the shower and mineral pool had mold, no where to open suitcases except on the bed one at a time

Bath’s in the room were amazin! Just stayed there for hours chilling in spring water! I got a free upgrade on my room to help me heal some wounds on my skin, so nice! I was not able to find any uberdrivers or taxi that could take me to my bus stop, so the owners jumpet into their car and drive me so I made it in time, tje best people!

Its a bit far from most shops and resturants if u dont have a car

Stayed over Easter Weekend and really enjoyed the stay. I had a private Spa in my room which I really enjoyed in the evening, I just needed to cross the street to take a swim in Lake Taupo. Taupo itself can be reached by foot, scooter or car (not required, I only used my car for shopping and sight seeing). Really good support from the staff (regarding things to see and also with the laundry services).

We booked this hotel because of the private mineral/thermal tub and pool and proximity to the city centre. The lady at the reception is very nice and helpful. Staff are nice and respectful of our privacy during our stay. The room is dated but it’s all good, no issues there. The private tub was really relaxing soecially after a day of touring around the area. The accomodation is very close to the lake area where we enjoyed walking around. Would recommend and come back in the future.

Staff and owner extremely happy, polite and helpful. Had a clothes line out the back. I could sun dry my laundry. Lovely thermal hot tub house that could be used at no extra cost. Lovely views of the Lake and Mountains. Walked up the hill to The Mole & Chicken for dinner one night. Hot water beach across the road below accommodation. Great location.

Bathroom a little on the squishy side for bigger people but manageable. Bed was a little too firm for my personal comfort.

My second time staying here, and will definitely come again. The owner is the loveliest woman ever, and remembered me from last time when I came to stay with my parents (she remembered them too!). The rooms are clean and have everything you need in them. Ample parking. Beautiful view over the lake, and just far enough away to have some peace from the busy town, but close enough to easily walk into the centre of everything. This time I stayed in a room with a personal hot tub - emphasis on hot! Such a relaxing trip, I will definitely come to stay again.

WiFi sometimes wasn’t very strong, but really not an issue at all!

The layout of the place is great for the view it feels like a ship, also the location is so handy to walk down to the lake and swim. It has 3 thermal pools, one privately your own, then another thermal hut with 2 hotter pools. Then a cooler warm pool out back. The amenities are convenient and include a recycle bin and all match the crystal glass lighting theme. Carol was was very accommodating friendly to talk to. Great place to meet and talk to your neighbours to as there is a shared lookout where the bow is. The locals are really nice too, Will be back with more friends. Thank you Carol
