The best part about staying here is the spa baths that look out into the bedroom. Always a highlight of our stay. Beds are super comfy and massive! the room is always well presented and the sachet and bottles of body wash smell delicious.

There were a few leaks dripping from the roof into the carpark creating puddles. There wasn’t a light switch for the outside lights to the balcony, so it was hard to get to sleep early. We saw a trash bag in an outside sitting area garden that appeared to have soiled toilet paper coming out of it. All the laundry bags loaded up by the door access to rooms was unpleasant to keep walking past. Didn’t experience these things on our first visit however.

The location was good as we could walk into Taupo centre and also down to the lake. There is a cafe, 4square and butchers across the road which was really convenient. Liked the private courtyard and the fact the unit was groundfloor.

On arrival we were told to park anywhere but that meant we couldn't park outside our unit to unpack as the park was already taken, ended up temporarly parking across the back of another car to cut down on the walking to our unit with our stuff. The unit felt really dark at first as the door was under the overhang of the floor above.

Good size room, small kitchenette and a decent shower in the bathroom. Nice and clean. Beds comfortable. easy walk to the restaurants and center of town. Plenty parking on site. Some of the lights did'nt but forgot to report them. If you are upstairs then there is no lift - just 2 set of stairs so get the muscles out!. Ice mchine down stairs was great. very well rated (though not cheap) resturaunt just across the road.

It felt a bit dark despite there being a good sized set of french doors onto the balcony.

Great shower, very powerful, except the shower head had a mind of it's own on full pressure. Good supplies, towels, tea, coffee etc. Lovely court yard. Cleaning staff seemed nice.

Unit wasn't ready when we arrived, we were kept waiting 15 minutes after 2pm check in because the cleaners were only just starting to clean the unit we were allocated. Would have been nice to have the option to pay at the property instead of paying by credit card before your stay. I'd like a choice of milk, blue top or green top. Don't drink blue top milk. The picture of the motel on the Booking.com website isn't where you stay, it's actually the units on the other side, (photo 8 lhs and photo 47) on the Beechtree booking.com site. Building older and looking tired but the rooms were comfortable. A little hard to find the unit, no-one offered to take us across, the guy just hand you the keys gave you blue top milk and sent you on your way.

Plenty of parking. Tidy and loved the courtyard. Made the unit feel bigger. Bed comfortable and very high up. The room was very quiet though so made it easy to rest.

Being on the bottom floor the room was dark and you needed lights on during a hot bright day outside. Felt that even though having a kitchenette it could have done with another way to cook instead of just a microwave.

Nice hotel close to lake and shops. It was very clean with a lovely spa bath and added extras like cute folded towels and biscuits. Plenty of parking.

In the early hours of the morning there was a commotion outside our unit by another guest who had locked themselves out of their unit. They were yelling loudly. Then noise continued for about an hour. This was in no way the hotels fault, however when we rang the hotel buzzer at 1am, to try to help the guest get access, there was no response from hotel staff.

Facility was clean, beds comfortable and facility well located within walking distance to town centre and lakefront

Room was bright and clean, but looked a little bit tired. We had a leaky tap which lead to constant water on toilet floor. The room had a balcony which we thought we could utilise as the days were dry and bright but there was no outdoor furniture on any of the balconies

The room suited us perfectly with an outdoor area right outside the 'sitting room' so we could enjoy the afternoon sun. The room suited us perfectly for our stay for one night. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. We did not use the 'smallish' kitchen area, but it was also adequate. The staff were great. There was a lot of parking. The motel provided us with close access to the restaurants and was close to the main street.

As we were there for only one night the motel was perfect for us.

This was a very comfortable little apartment. My partner and I were on a flying visit through Taupo to break up our drive down from Auckland and decided to stay here while we toured around the city. It felt very open plan, and I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a longer visit and wanting to set themselves up for a few days. There was a quaint little garden outside the room with a few chairs where you could sit, and we also had access to the bubble bath which was amazing. My partner and I both had a go with the bubbles on and it made our night. I would book here just for that. Bath aside, the staff were very efficient and thorough with their check-in and parking was free.

Nothing major at all, the only issue is that sound could sometimes travel quite easily through the windows and doors if people were walking by, however, that was quite rare and usually in the morning when people were ready to get up and moving for the day.

Great view of the lake and mountains from our balcony. Handy location, short walk into town. Close to Brantry house our favourite restaurant. Good parking. Friendly staff, a good morning from the cleaners each day.

Shower was very small. Room was lit up at night by a glow from the rear of the TV and the balcony light which stayed on. Toilet would run on after flushing.
