We again stayed in room three on the ground floor - we stay at the motel whenever we travel to Whanganui. The motel was spotlessly clean, the room area is very large with a large spa bath as well as a separate shower and toilet. The room did not have a. hotplate/stove but did have a microwave. The staff were superb, friendly as well as being very welcoming. The room contained quite dark furniture but was very comfortable. The motel is in the main street very close to supermarkets. There was excellent parking for our vehicle. The television viewing offered an excellent selection.

The only very minor complaint is there being no hotplate or oven. There are no other areas other than this very smallish issue.

The room was huge and well laid out. It was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The property is situated next to a New World supermarket and across the road from a Pak n Save and Countdown. It is very convenient to the road in from Wellington and the road to New Plymouth. Victoria Ave is Whanganui’s main street.

We are not spa bath people so we didn’t use the bath that used a large area in the room. The motel has spa baths in each room. Not close to any cafes but we had a car so it really wasn’t an issue.

Unusual type of accommodation for Europeans - motel - car directly under the window or in front of the accommodation. All in all, a very spacious and clean room with a balcony, but with the small disadvantage of 1 floor without a lift, so we had to carry all our luggage up and down the stairs. There was a large jacuzzi in the room and it worked. The accommodation was only without breakfast, which wasn't too bad in the end, as we found a local very nice place in town with a very good, high quality, but not cheap, breakfast menu.

The shower in the bathroom had a strange shower head. On the bed there was a partial blanket with imitation bear (?) hair (I hope artificial), which made an unpleasant impression - impossible to clean well between customers, and a magnet for dirt. Another negative was the necessity to leave by 10 o'clock, which is probably typical for New Zealand, but untypical for Europe (mostly by 12:00).

Superb ,spacious quiet rooms well appointed with all the little things that other accomodation providers have cut back on eg. Biscuits to have with your coffee ,a variety of cable channels , actual bars of soap , even shoe shine and sowing kits , service that is really hard to find now .Very impressed , if you book the spa rooms you are going to be blown away with the size of the bath ,many supermarkets and food outlets are close including st johns club just around the corner 100 yrs+ of operation dont expect fine dining and airs but..we loved it hope you do too

Huge deluxe double room with the most enormous spa bath I've ever seen, plus a whole separate bathroom. Amazing value for money. Bed huge as well. Proper milk and usual kitchen facilities. Let us in early and they didn't have to. Supermarkets v close by.

Very minor point but the road was a bit noisy at night but you are in a city location so not surprised. About 25 mins walk to the very main part of town, which we didn't mind at all and it totally depends what you need close by.

Loved this place, fabulous service & lovely staff. Huge rooms with very comfy big beds & everything you could want. Generous amenities, fantastic service & 2 tvs . Will definitely be back

Loved it but needed soft pillows (ideally feather) as all the pillows were very high & hard (luckily i brought my own). Also a dimmer or low light bedside lamp would be good as the lights are very bright. But not a complaint just something to make it 10/10

We have stayed there several times before because it is quite easy to get into the main street and complete the tasks we were down in Whanganui for. The room was well set up and large. lots of room for bags etc and an excellent spa bath was provided in the room. Bed was very comfortable as was the parking. The heat pump kept the room warm, and the television offered a very full range of channels.

We use this motel for our visits to Whanganui. We were in room four upstairs - it was easy to access and find.

There was a large spa in the room that looked very nice, but we did not use it. There was a nice shower in the bathroom and we were given towels. In addition they had a free washing machine with a coin dryer--very convenient.

The property totally men our expectations so I don't have further recommendations It was convenient to the three markets that were either adjacent or across the intersection.

Very quiet despite being on main street. Stylish, polished wood units, wardrobe, bedside tables and desk. Luxurious double spa bath in unit with comfortable back rests and good pressure jets.

No dining table and chairs. The most-used flush button on toilet always jammed and had to be manipulated back into place, so we resorted to always using full flush. Not good in a motel which proudly claims to be aiming to be eco-friendly. Pedals on both bins did not work; had to lift lids by hand. Unhygienic. Towels were not soft.

The bath is great... though very large so I didn't feel I could justify filling it just for me. A very spacious room with everything I needed. Having ready access to the laundry was great and very helpful.

The bed was not comfortable at all and the street noise was very loud. I also would've liked net curtains or Venetian blinds because I didn't feel I could have my curtains open because people from other rooms across the courtyard could see right into my room.
