The property is around thirty minutes walk to the town centre. I loved walking everywhere so it wasn’t a problem for me. Wouldn’t worry anyone with a car. The bed was comfortable and the rooms more spacious than most. The owners gave me a ground floor unit as I am an old lady and have difficulty carrying bags up stairs. They were very pleasant and helpful if I needed it. I was able to do everything I planned to do and more and thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Wanganui.

There may have been a washing line but I didn’t find one and with four nights it would have been handy. I was not there most of the time and no one was available to ask which wasn’t their fault.

It’s close to town. Fantastic views of the river from our room. Has a really comfortable atmosphere

Cleaning was a bit rough. Soap still in shower dish, lollies and some rubbish behind curtains in lounge. Food bits on couch

This motel is in a good central location with friendly staff. Its clean and comfortable and good value for money.

The one downside to this motel is that the facilities are a bit dated. However its still clean and comfortable.

The room and the bathroom were large and spacious. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The spa bath was easy to use and comfortable to sit in. The kitchen had everything we needed. The lounge area had two comfortable chairs, one was a recliner. even though we were booked for several days the rooms were serviced every day. The laundry was clean, reasonably cheap and both machines were industrial-size.

As with most places the tv was too small for the room size and it was very hard to see the TV guide when seated on the lounge chairs. The weather was unseasonally hot and we were provided with a small fan (without asking for one) but it didn't have an extension cord. We could have asked for that but feel it should have been included given the location of the power points.

Great room setup and very helpful owner and staff.

Paid extra to have a spa bath unit which the spa part didn't work. Owner very helpful when told - but did not offer recompense for room.

I liked how big my lounge and bedroom were. The facilities were good, the view was good (I was on the upstairs floor), the location was good, nice and central to where I was visiting family.

The only thing I was disappointed with was the shower pressure (I guess from being on the upstairs floor), not strong, just medium. I always prefer a hand-held shower nozzle, rather than a fixed nozzle, so I can take it off and give myself a good rinse after I have washed myself and my hair. Apart from that the motel was excellent.

Great location with comfortable rooms and good facilities. Close to the city center so was able to walk to most attractions and facilities.

It was warm during our stay and even though fans were provided an air conditioning unit would have provided a more comfortable sleeping especially on the first night. This was our only gripe and could be remedied next time the rooms are upgraded.

Slept very well. Extremely comfortable beds. Offered the storage of our bikes whilst there, was very helpful, not having to put them on and off the rack on the car on a daily basis. Room was large enough to have couches to watch tv. Fans provided in both rooms, helped with the afternoon sun, so didn't feel compromised not having Aircon.

Nothing that I wish to comment on.

The 2 bedroom family unit was perfect for our group. The unit was well set out, and comfortable, and we were happy with our stay here. It was centrally located, and right near the activities that we had planned, so made it really easy for us to get to where we were going. The motel was nice and private, and quiet. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay!

The only inconvenience was really minor, the lock on the bathroom door didn't work, but it didn't really affect our stay at all. We had a great time here, and would be happy to stay at Riverview again, when we come back to Whanganui.
