Very close to Whananui, nice view of the river. Next to a main road so a little traffic noise but that wasn't a problem and traffic slowed downed st night so quiet. Only issue was possibly better heating as it took ages to heat up being concrete walls and high ceilings and only 1 fan heater provided.

Like a one bed apartment with parking right outside the door. Great bathroom layout (separate toilet). Fully functional kitchen

The bed was far too firm, had to close curtains during day for privacy

Friendly staff, superb location, as the name suggests the river is across the road with a bench to enjoy the morning and evening views on a sunny weekend. The unit had everything and so we cooked breakfast, the only quibble is that the bathroom mirror was not positioned for smaller adults. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and the motel is in easy walking distance to the city centre and takes you past the information centre and galleries galore. George's Fish and Chip shop in Victoria Street, cooked fresh fish to order and drew us back again. We also did the 11am Saturday sailing of Waimarie paddle-steamer which was a delight, but it pays to book. All in all a superb long weekend exploring Whanganui.

Despite a three-night stay, we needed more time.

Spacious 2bdrm apartment with plenty of room for our family of 4. Fully equipped kitchen. Pleasant retro 70s arches and stucco :) Cute little walled garden area with grass and a picnic table.

Water pressure in the shower was underwhelming. A faint spray. Neighbours of next unit smoked outside (as its requested on signs) but their smoke drifted into our children's bedroom. Would be nice if the smokers had to go further from the building.

Didn't have the breakfast. On Saturday morning you can walk (about 10 min along the river) to the wharf market for a great breakfast, also there's a small kitchen so it's easy to bring your own food and make simple meals. The motel supplied a bottle of milk daily which is great for cups of tea.

The water pressure in the shower was quite low. Not a show stopper.

Good location across the road to the river. The room was their quietest and private as per my request. Nice to get a jug of fresh milk on arrival. Good size bathroom and the kitchen (quite "old-school") had all the food preparation necessities.

The bedspread smelled "off" because the previous room tenant must have lain on it in their sweaty work-clothes.

Great small motel apartment for our family with kids, separate room, full kitchen, enough seating in lounge and seating for family dinner. Facing the river and kowhai park is just few minutes away.

Water pressure a bit low in shower, small soap bar dries the skin too much after use.

Good location being close to town, walking distance. Also liked being by the river for the walk along the river.

Exactly what it said on the tin. Did the job perfectly for a one-night stop place to stay. Comfortable and we had a good uninterupted sleep despite being the unit closest to the road.

The neighbours next door sat outside and smoked, which meant the smoke came through to our room which wasn't ideal. It wasn't clear how to check out early the next day but thankfully someone was in reception
