The room was spotless clean. The hotel is beautiful and the terrace has a great vibe. The rooms in the second floor with the terrace looked great and worth the value in comparison with my room (see other comment). German and the other man in the reception were awesome and very attentive contrary to the first impression with the lady that attended me during check-in. The breakfast was great too. I would recommend this place but be aware about the single room

While the location is close to the main street but during the night the estuary gets wider enough that you can't cross it and the safest way to go to town is taking a taxi. Maybe I am wrong on this but I felt my room was way overpriced and it didn't provide the "view to the garden" it says in the description and felt like a tiny box within the building. The other rooms seemed better. I have to say the staff offered me to change my room for a bigger one with three beds but I decided not do it because I was already settle so you can say it was my fault in this one and give the kudos to the staff for offer me that option even when I didn't complain

Wonderful view from the balcony, though when I booked I imagined the balcony was part of our room, though this wasn't a problem as it was very spacious with a great range of seating. The beach here is amazing and huge! The first night we we're a bit worried about crossing the little river in the dark with the tide in and so we found a great little restaurant near the hotel. However the next couple of nights we crossed with no problem and found wonderful restaurants overlooking the crashing waves in the town. Breakfast was good, especially the special request pancakes! When it was time to return to Costa Rica the staff arranged a taxi to the border for 25 dollars.

The pool was a disappointment. It looked great but I found it difficult to get in and even more difficult to get out as the ladder only had one rung - we think 2 were broken. Ok if you can jump in I suppose! Also we thought there was a footbridge to cross the little river but we were told that it had broken 8 years ago!

it’s was just amazing , you feel like you’re in home , the breakfast is good , Beach is just walking there , the owner maria and her daughter are so kind , the whole staff make you feel great! , there is a coffee bar all the time. but the most amazing thing was what they did for us , my grand mother almost can’t walk and she depend on insulin , they gave me the best for for her and they were keeping the insulin in the fridge. I just want to say thank you. we had an amazing time

amenities , some shampoo and conditioner would be great :)

Breakfast was very good! There is a view of the cove from a shared balcony. It’s one of a handful of hotels which are on the beach. Staff is nice and helpful. Owners are great. It’s walking distance to everything. They have “warm” water which was a nice surprise. Everything is well maintained. I love this area

All the hotels that are on the beach are on the northern part of the cove above the SJdSur river outlet. This beach area is not cared for like the rest of the cove which is dominated by the bars and restaurants. Beds and rooms are small.

It has an amazing location where from your room to the beach takes less than a minute to get there. Also, you can walk on the beach to get to all the most important restaurants in town. Breakfast is a very complete Nicaraguan style one. You eat breakfast, and you are ready to conquer the day!!

The person at the front desk at our arrival, never made the minimum effort to help us with our heavy luggage. Luckily, we only saw him on that occasion, after the disappointing welcome from this guy, the staff was always attentive, friendly, cooperative, service oriented.

The staff are straight up lovely, they always had a smile on their face and were happy to help. The hotel itself is largely great too and it's on the beach, lovely. Breakfast = banging.

I guess the room we stayed in was what you'd call a garden room. It was a little small and rough around the edges, the bathroom tiny, but the main issue was that folk would chat and eat straight outside.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good.

The location is very calm, a bit off the main drag right on the beach. unfortunately the pedestrian bridge is no longer there so you can’t get to the main part of SJDS without wading through thigh high water during high tide. it’s not the hotel’s fault but it makes the location less attractive.

I choose the double-room, which is a small room next to the pool and the sitting area. sometimes when the people are in the sitting area having conversations, it was difficult to relax in the room.

Property is only 100m from the town, but you must pass over a strip of beach. Solo traveller so I would not risk it after dark. Plus it can flood over in Aug. Only other option is a taxi on the ring road. Too far to walk yhe main road.

Nothing really. The pool ladder may be a challenge for some people, it’s quite a step to get out. A few evenings there was quite a bit of noise next door but the staff were doing their best to deal with it.
