Good location, a short drive to Vestlia Resort area, and across the road from the shops. Food at both the pizza and Smakeriet restaurants were great! We had a dog with us, and access to a balcony where he could safely stay in the day time.

The kids meal at the pizza restaurant was excessively priced. A handful of fettuccini in butter sauce set us back 100Kr, when it is worth more like 10Kr for such a small serving. The staff seemed to be seasonal and very new, as no one seemed to know answers to any questions and always had to wait for experienced staff. It just took longer to do things, like adding a dog to our booking, but all was sorted out in the end. Our originally assigned room had a balcony covered in bird droppings and a bathroom that smelt like sewerage, but that was rectified by moving us to a new room immediately.

We wanted to live in the centre of Geilo. This hotel is in walking distance to everything. The apartment was nice and had a terrace facing the Vestlia slopes and the sun. They have a bakery at the ground floor with excellent bread. The staff is friendly and helpful. Shuttle to the slopes right outside.

The first floor used to be a large lounge area where you could read a book or sit with friends and discuss over coffee or a drink. Now the entire first floor was made into a restaurant which was partly was fully booked during our entire stay. So apart from two chairs in the lobby, there was simply nowhere to be apart from your own room. I think this has made this hotel less desirable and with less value for money. We went there for Easter and paid more than NOK 4000/night for a nice apartment (but not superior, we’ve had much better at Ustedalen). They also seemed to be understaffed since trying to get attention in the reception or the cafe was quite a wait even when hardly no people.

Staff were excellent. I had a medical emergency on my last night and they were incredibly helpful and went over and beyond expectations to make sure I was alright. (I have visited many hotels in my time and this is the only review I have ever completed as I feel the staff deserve recognition. i do not remember names but the staff that helped me was a man and a woman both possibly in their 20s, I think the man said he was from Denmark. If anyone from the hotel reads this please pass on my thanks) Also, the food from the bakery and restaurant was amazing!

Excellent location in the centre. A 5 min or less drive to all of the major ski lifts. The ski bus stop is just 3 mins walk if you don't have a car. Several good restaurants within walking distance and 2 fantastic restaurants in the hotel itself that I would highly recommend.. The pool and kid playroom were a big hit with my 2 year old daughter.

Stovetop in our particular apartment kept turning off and was finniky. Couldn't figure out the exhaust fan either, so the fire alarm went off once while cooking. Other than that, the place exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful, clean, spacious apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Great sauna and swimming pool. Delicious food from the bakery and restaurant.

Nothing we didn't like, it is a great place to stay.

Super clean, great water pressure in the shower and a great cup of coffee. Room also had a lovely balcony. One minute walk to center of town.

The check in app for the virtual key card didn't work.

breakfast à la carte was good but way too much (extra cost), if you are not that hungry I suggest to get something from the bakery to save some money.

The bakery was really yummy as was the coffee. The location was also perfect for us so we could easily access cross-country ski trails and restaurants.
