I wasn’t aware that this hotel was part of the hospital with the same name. The room looked a lot like a hospital room, which can be a bit off putting at first but you get used to it quickly. Everything was squeaky clean and it was quite an experience to have breakfast alongside international tourists and local postpartum moms with their newborn babies. The breakfast buffet was quite good by the way.

I understand the reason behind it, but maybe making the hotel room look less like a hospital room would make the stay more enjoyable

NIce breakfast buffet with many different options. Very clean everywhere, but two strands of hair on the floor were visible, though. The room was prepared for patients and had a large bathroom with a signalling chord for anybody who would need assistance.

These are all minor details: The resting chairs in the room were very basic with synthetic leather. There were no ordinary chair with proper height for desk work, but the desk was nice. The movement detector for the bathroom light had to be reactivated by moving very near the sliding door (located just beneath the ceiling). Housekeeping didn't announce their attempt to enter the room before turning their key in the lock.

I booked the hotel at short notice. It is a hospital hotel, which I didn't realise, I at first started to think it was a former hospital converted into a theme hospital, it had been a long drive. There isn't parking available at the location, but between 20.00 and 08.00 there is free street parking around the corner. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room comfortable.

I didn't enjoy the evening meal, it was a buffet, much of which for dietary reasons I couldn't eat.

A quiet hotel, breakfast with much choice, very helpful staff.

Beware to the switches (at least in my room, 411) : some of them are old, loose and tend to stay in the middle position when switched on and off. There was no switch for the bathroom, the light appears as you pass it in the corridor but then takes ages to go off - all you can do is to close the door if you want to be in the dark to go to bed: annoying!

i was surprised that this hotel is actually for relations of patients who need a place to stay. Sometimes if room they cater for tourists. There is a cooked breakfast. and coffee all day. lunch and dinner can be bought for a modest price. Rooms are nice with a small TV. Single beds in my room.

Quiet surounding, only the gulls were crying ;-) but be aware that you are on a hospital ground, the rescue helicopter has its landing field nearby on the rooftop. Good breakfast buffet, you can get free coffee everytime. Chargeable meals available for lunch and dinner. Luggage room if you want to leave your things after checkout.

Nothing!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Excellent service. A very nice breakfast was included. Although it is across the river from most of the tourist destinations, we bought all-day bus passes and easily got around.

Flexible and helpful staff. Breakfast have enough variety to work for most. Convenient location in an area just outside the city center, but still central. Good value for the price of the room.

very clean - great staff - excellent breakfast options - great shower/bathroom - paid parking close by, but expensive - close to several good restaurants

walkable, but not really close to center - a bit of a sterile feel since it is affiliated with St Olav’s hospital next door
